Well we got ourselves an Update for the Pokemon XYZ Anime.

 

The two episodes we're getting next week are gonna be the last episodes of "The Team Flare Arc" and judging by the preview kitten's about to get real. 

 

We also won't be getting another episode of Pokemon XYZ  until October 6th, so 2 week break!

 

I've been saying this for a while now, we got to wait for a trailer for the Sun and Moon Anime. 

 

 

 

Also I don't wanna get anyones hopes up when I say this, but there has been a trend when it comes to Ash getting a new female companion with every region including the release of the games. Here is what I mean by that: 

 

A lot of people knew May was gonna be Ash's next traveling companion 4 to 6 months before Pokemon Advanced came out.

 

A lot of people knew Dawn was gonna be Ash's traveling companion after May 4 to 6 months before Pokemon Diamond and Pearl came out.

 

A lot of people also knew Iris was gonna be the traveling companion after Dawn 4 to 6 months before Pokemon Black & White came out. 

 

 

We're about 2 months shy away from Pokemon Sun and Moon game releasing, and we should've gotten some kinda announcement at this point regarding the anime, especially for a new female companion. Which I'm not gonna lie it feels kinda fishy at this point in time, but again don't get your hopes up yet.  Best thing to do is just wait and see what happens.

Even her avatar is in the next game. Take it grain of salt of course but it does seem to acknowledge of her fanbase. Sometimes, that can be your strongest hint. Anyway, in due time.

Honestly, it wouldn't make sense for Serena to be going to Aola if there is no Performances and that's basically that same reason dawn didn't go Unova because it had no contests. If she does goes to Aola that means  Pokemon Performances remained unlike Pokemon Musicals.

 

In retrospect, Misty would be a GREAT choice for Aola to be honest. They should revive her character for Aola since it suits the watery region which is probably made up of many Islands.

 

Dawn is my ultimate fav character in Pokemon but I wouldn't want her appearance in Aola. I would take Misty over the all the other girls for this region. I can so see Misty loving the Aola region

 

Anyways, In terms of Plot  and animation XYZ is the BEST but I think Sinnoh as all the regions beat and I'll explain in a moment.

 

Character development. Dawn, Ash, Zoey, Ursala and Paul had the best development in history of pokemon especially Paul vs Ash. Their rivalry came full circle in the end with Infernape getting his triumph. Dawn started out as a hopeless case won some and lost some. She lost her confidence and regained it with help from Ash(mostly) and brock. In many cases she is basically the female Ash and I mean Kanto Ash who lost many battles and kinda lost his confidence also. Paul also had development as being a cold harsh trainer to his pokemon and it was a result of wanting to better his brother who actually fought in the frontier.

 

The battles. XYZ has way better battle animation but in Sinnoh the battles were well taught out. There was more strategic battling in terms of using, reflect, light screen, poison, paralysis, leech seed, stealth rock and etc. XYZ battles are very straight forward and there's always a KO. No strategic battling at times.

 

I also think Dawn is the only character apart from Misty and Ash to have a pokemon out of their pokeball 24/7. Which led to development between Piplup and Pikachu. They were basically best friends and the end of DP was very emotional with Pikachu and Piplup crying and hugging each other. it was very sad and it made cry re-watching it the other day. 

 

I think Buneary and Pikachu could have had development but that was kinda pushed aside for Piplup and Pikachu.

Maybe because I don't watch it but is Team Rocket much less involved? I mean I bet they are there, but stuff like Greninja and Ash breakout didn't require them or anything. In fact, it almost felt like the guys behind that one were trying to recapture season 1, where it feels like it's only one arc story and that's it. Damn, I forgot the name of that anime but it's the one with little device that has dragons I think. I remember the last episode has a canon pairing and the animation for whatever reason is the same guy who did Naruto best episode. Strange.

Anyway, well I can't comment on any other ones except season 1 and bit of Johto, but I do often see DP being among the best, arguably the best. I guess the idea is that many others feel like over glorified "filler" if that make any sense. Regardless, I think the idea that XY started to be more diverse by having a girl actually connecting with Ash, love or not, XY being considered the return of greatness (it was for me because I got back thanks to the game), animation act like it wants to be considered serious, and so on. That's why there might be more talk of the series than ever.

Talking about TR really how do you do it to bear those guys? (I think I asked this quetion) in Sinnoh I was fed up if it was not for the Pearl I could not watch it. I heard that in Unova without those guys, the season had the best episodes ever.

We have to think of the character him/herself. Serena's dream is to become Kalos Queen. If she goes to Alola, her dream is being pushed aside. She would be a follower. Unless she goes for a reason then she goes back to Kalos. She shouldn't be taken in terms of wanting her to continue just because there are fans who like her nor because of shipping. We should think of the character's goal and what s/he achieved.

 

When I came into this thread, my likeness for Pokemon has rekindled, so I began to see what I missed from the anime. I saw on YouTube a video about the game Sun and Moon, and it has numerous new characters. The anime follows the games, so she may be replaced easily. But, it still doesn't mean she won't continue.

 

Another thing is that there's a leak that there's a returning character. If they added one or two new character/s with a returning one, Serena's chance continuing would decrease a lot.

We have to understand that if a character stays too long, the character will be staled. Misty, Brock, May, Dawn; all of them stayed for a long time then they got replaced. Serena is the same. Her character can't handle more than the others or else she will be staled.

 

If there was a returning character, that would be Misty or May with Misty more possible than May.

Misty is the only main character who haven't pursued her goal because she had to put it aside to handle the gym, when she had a call from her sisters that they will travel for a while leaving the gym to her, so it's why she is the best candidate, and Alola is her type of region and what with it all.

 

May because she was absent for long and she is from Hoenn, a water type region. Unlike Misty, she achieved her goal.

 

A returning of character would bring freshness, excitement and older fans back to the anime too especially if Misty was the one returning. Introducing her to the audience who don't know about her will bring  more brightness, funny moments from her temperament and originality because of her character and who she really is.

 

Many of us had gotten attached to characters then they had their time to leave. But, they always come back and show what changes occurred with them.

There was this "leak" about the Alola starter's final stage. In the fire one, there was a mysterious girl who appeared to be cooking. Pikachu was there as well, so the art belongs to the anime (that's what they say) Anyways, at first everyone thought it was fake, but then, months later, GF revealed a very similar girl in the games (she likes to cook according to her bio) She's a trial leader or something (I guess, I don't want to spoil myself that much) I don't know if she'll be the chosen one or if she'll just have a smaller relevant role like Korrina in Kalos. But I guess she could be an option, besides the main heroine and Lillie.

Why didn't call the old ones in Kalos? for the ships calling the old pokemon is special, for the pearl was special. Belayf vs Serena XD

Not to mention, it could be a neat dynamic change of having two girls and one boy. Just saying. Anyway, well, I find it funny how one argued that the design for S/M heroine looks bland, so can't be a good replacement. We'll see.

yeah lucky i agree plus serena's gotta confess the writers owe it to her character cuz if she doesn't the writers are gonna have a gigantic storm coming but aside from that yesterday's episode was great lysandre is alot stronger then i expected 1 pokemon has almost taken out ash's team but he's not giving up till the end
