I can't help but wonder how Kakashi's commentary about Sakura's feelings for Sasuke come into play here, since it's almost as though he backtracked when he talks about her wanting to be by his side. Doesn't that negate the idea of the nature of Sakura's feelings having changed, or is he just referring to things in a more platonic sense?

Looking back this is just one chapter. Next chapter that show her with her team and the Naruto/Sasuke fight will clarify for me.

 

I called this a god damn status quo. Nothing gained, nothing lose. It's 1 chapter freeze in time. Like so many ''controversial chapter'', let's wait to see what the futur hold .

 

Yeah I begin to think after a while, sorry to have been a pain in the butt,I have nothing left to be pissed off about and I was mostly sad about the chapter because I expected totally something else. :)

 

Though if NS is to be canon, now I want Sakura to have a rude awakening in the genjutsu, something to literally destroy her feeling for Sasuke. Not an ass-pull please:P.

Clashing and explosions, and how is that achieved exactly? From powerful jutsu through gaining power-ups. Who has made it clear that she wants to catch up to both Naruto and Sasuke? Sakura. Who has made that a convenient little story line for her character? Kishi. What's another reason why she won't contribute in the fight? Because she's not strong enough. Who's to blame? Kishi. She's become a third wheel.

This is just wrong. Just because she has expressed a desire to stand as equal alongside Naruto and Sasuke DOES NOT mean she should fight in the Naruto-Sasuke fight. This fight is an epic clash of ideals. Its the Protagonist vs the Antagonist. It has nothing to do with Sakura.

 

It has been touched upon quite a few times that only Naruto could influence and change Sasuke. This fight has been foreshadowed ever since the hospital scene. If you remember, Naruto asks Sakura to stay out of this fight and tells her it has nothing to do with her. Nowhere in the manga has Sakura been foreshadowed to take part in this fight. 

 

You post the same couple of panels about Sakura promsing herself and Naruto that she would help Naruto to her maximum abilities.

But nowhere has she specifically mentioned she would fight against Sasuke. Compare this to Naruto and Sasuke who have been foreshadowed to face-off so many times in the manga.

 

And you forget the Kage arc where Sakura specifically mentions she is helpless in this matter and all she can do is trust her teammates.

FYI just because Sakura does not take part in this particular fight does not make her some sort of 'third wheel'. She is still the Heroine and an important part of the story.

Could simply be referring to the days where they were team 7 and were side by side all the time.

So it's ok if you point and laugh at her crying when there are pictures of her not crying accompanying it? If you point at someone and laugh at them in public, is that not considered harassment? I like how you ended your statements again with another personal attack instead of substance.

 
 
Oh, so I'm specifically laughing at just the parts of her crying. Ignore the fact that I already said I'm laughing at her degression toward her claims. But you know me better than I know myself, so you're right. I was just specifically laughing at the parts of her crying. 
 

Except powerups are not the only thing that is required for reaching out to Sasuke.

 
It's one of the things that is required for reaching out to Sasuke. Never said it was the only thing.
 

Guess what Sasuke and Naruto talked about in their little white bubble? Their mutual loneliness and how the bonded over rivalry! Do you honestly thing Sakura can talk about her and Sasuke's bond like that at all? The only thing she ended up saying was "why don't you ever talk to me"? If anything, her flight proves his point that he doesn't have a connection to her at all.

Oh, that deep and beautiful bond? Still didn't stop Sakura from claiming to help Naruto out next time and attempting to do so. She may not have the same bond with Sasuke like Naruto has, but that didn't stop her from constantly worrying about him and becoming stronger in part just to contribute in helping Naruto bring Sasuke back. Not just for Naruto but also for herself and team 7.
 

Why do you think Edo Itachi spent so much time emphasizing that only Naruto could change Sasuke?  It doesn't matter if Sakura had more power than both of them combined; in the end it is Sasuke's mind that's damaged. In fact, it doesn't matter if Naruto can physically overpower Sasuke or not, because the manga has again and again hammered in that the key to saving the world is by understanding your enemies.

Yeah, and look at the fantastic job he's done in changing Sasuke. You can clearly see the progress he's made. The deep and strong bond that Naruto had with Sasuke is paying off and it's showing.
 
 

No, Sakura's strength is not measured by how she has managed to physically beat up Sasuke/ change his heart. Kakashi said it again several chapters ago; Sakura couldn't bring herself to hurt someone she considered a friend because of her kindness.

Well she was attempting to stop Sasuke back then with her power when they confronted Sasuke after the time skip.

So where does her genjutsu lies at now? Sasuke just killed her in that world.
