Guys don't put your high hope, at least when we lower our expectation the taste when something good happen will be sweet.

Spoilers aren't out for Naruto or at least to my acknowledge. No one in NF seems to be phased. Oh well, time to think negative thoughts on next chapter. You'll never know what is next. I'll just think something bad. So far, those negative thoughts hasn't happened yet but might as well continue on.

Yes, sadly we have come to such a point in the Naruto series that we have to lower our expectation to keep reading.

 

It speaks volumes on how the quality has dropped and dropped.

It's the fate of long series, either you become worse or better.
And I think people put too much expectation in this series.

That, or the series has just gone on so long that people have had too much time to build their expectations. I think the longer a series, the greater the possibly readers have for their speculations and theory to be let down, and then the greater disappointment they feel because of the expectations they've held aren't met as they hoped they would be.

Mine is well too many focused. If we do get one more arc, it will be much simpler. Imagine if Obito situation is only Naruto and very few others. The arc could have ended last volume or even less. War arc in Shounen is always hard to please.

Have many other Shounen manga tried to do such large scale war arcs?

One Piece, Bleach (worst one), and possibly others. I haven't read too many Shounens with being action packed, because as of late, it's been one area focus or sports or school life. You could say Hitman reborn did have one as well but it was rushed. But yeah, when Shounen enters full scale war, it's hard to please. Heck, not even one piece was safe. Actually, Fairy Tail had a small one but again, small one. It was cool.

I would honestly say two to three. I think it would be cool if kishi did a countdown clock at the end of the chapter to show how much time is actually left. Like just a box to show how much time is left. Even though it would never happen it would be cool.

It's not but Shounen seems to hit hard with it in criticism. I always said that if you do war, I suggest start directing the anime version to make it feel like the way you're not limited to. I mean in my head, I can imagine so many war tactic atmosphere in many other series. Sure works well in games. I think the main problem is the amount of other getting screen time. In One Piece, you get so many tidbits of every characters, and boy, there were tons. When the main focus happens aka main character arriving, then it gets people talking.

Another flaw for war is lack of a lot of focus on battles because these mangaka are limited to certain pages, they have to make sacrifices. Do it as in do the whole battle scene anyway, and you'll end up being heavily criticized that it's dragged out and boring, which Bleach got this. Don't do it as in don't the whole battle scene, and you'll end up being criticized that potential fights/interactions were cut short or never happened. Naruto is the example for this one. So choose your poison.

It sucks but I guess this one time I wish they direct anime to make it an exclusive bonus and pace will be better. I do like war in visual you know.
