Does anyone else think Naruto will be drained after giving out all that chakra? I still see the potential of Naruto losing

Doubt it considering he was able to make shadow clones.

Question: is it Naruto's or Kyuubi? I'm a little confused.

It's the Kyuubi's chakra.

Great chapter... I'm just a little annoyed at how Naruto can magically transfer chakra to everyone now. The whole alliance? C'mon now... sweatdrop.gif So much for Naruto and Hinata's "moment" though! heheelq7.png

I don't think he'll give it to the entire alliance, mostly the people involved in the big plan, which is probably the K11 and some extras.

*Oops, typo. Meant plan.

Just the people essential to taking down the juubi in shikaku's plan.

Hm, you think it will be exhausted before finishing it off? It has 5 minutes interval. I wonder how much time has passed.

Lol at NF. The color spread, someone made a change and well, let's just say one head doesn't belong to that body. But again, it was made to make fun of people who hates Sakura. Get over with it. Kishi really means it: she's the heroine. End of story. NH has lost point in my view. Canon possibility is still there, but now, there are factors that is up for grabs (parallel(s), Naruto showing special feeling, etc.) and Sakura has not yet present herself.

Kurama's chakra was said to be near infinite. I'm actually shocked that he lost a significant enough amount to where he needed to gather more before he start giving to Naruto once again. Also just a thought but wouldn't the chakra shrouds Naruto distributed damage anyone who's using it? A bijuu's chakra that is used past the OTK stage appears to have a negative effect on the user. Of course I'm probably forgetting about something that was mentioned during the bijuu training with Killer Bee about Kurama's chakra no longer damaging the user's body.

Yeah, accepting Kurama's friendship and getting that new seal purified the Kyuubi's chakra, making it Pure Chakra free from malevolence.

Nice to see that everyone's spirits are up. smile.gif

The cover with Sakura in samurai armor is a pun of sorts -- cherry blossoms are a symbol of the samurai.

Someone pointed out that at the end of the last chapter, Hinata thought that she would "never let go" Naruto's hand.... and then Naruto lets go.

This makes me believe even more that it was referring to naruto not letting go of neji, hence why it showed his free hand clench for 3 panels.

Could be taken as a foreboding foreshadowing, Cherry Blossoms signified Death to Samurai, too, with cherry flowers blossoming for a short amount of time before shedding. Beauty in the Finite/transcience nature of life and all that.

Anyway, just an observation, not really making a prediction. Though it's been in the back of my mind ever since I discovered that connection.

Haha, imagine if naruto hadn't taken Hinatas hand off his face in 615, it would still be on there. And after he had removed her hand, it would be pretty rude to just drop it, kinda like rejecting her help.

The Mangastream translation has Naruto say he's keeping the real Neji alive in his heart, so yeah I think it's Neji's hand he said he's never going to let go off.

Plus I'm quite sure the "never letting go of that hand" in the previous chapter isn't a dialogue or speech bubble but more like the mangaka's/editor's note (He's (Naruto) never letting go of that (Neji's) hand!!)

I find it interesting how in the Path to Radiance, Kishi has Hinata say "Once this war ends I'm going to stop chasing you". Sure, the whole "holding your hand and walking with you" could mean she's going to pluck up courage to be by his side romantically, but Kishi basically has her accomplish that literally in 615...

Interesting word choice. All she has to do is to stop chasing him now tongue.gif

I find its something that could have easily been cleared up by having Neji grasp Naruto's hand, like how Asuma appeared to Shikamaru or Jiraiya touching Naruto's shoulder when he died, they wouldn't have to have a conversation or anything just a small moment to show that it is indeed Neji that the editor's note was referring to. Maybe the anime will add something.

As in symbolically smile.gif Because if it's literal in any sense he let go of Hinata's hand right away once he did the chakra transfer. And it would tie in with how he said he's keeping the real Neji in his heart.

The previous chapter was something about 'Bonds'. So, Naruto holds Hinata, Ino, Shika and Choji's hands to give them energy, which is supposed to extend the metaphor I guess.

There is no point on showing his empty hand clenching if it doesn't mean anything by it and that the panels are right next to the text means it means something, plus the fact that 616 he literally let go of hinatas hand proves it even more.

Yup...I think while it's kind of obvious from Hinata's pov it was somewhat romantic, even so it wasn't that overt. Like she wasn't blushing or thinking OMGNARUTOSHOLDINGMYHAND. That would have been inappropriate to the tone considering Neji just died.

However, from Naruto's POV, the hand holding wasn't gratuitious but had a very practical function. Without the chakra transfer, holding someone's hand like that is pretty romantic. So Kishi kind of cheapened the romantic factor for sure when he made it clear Naruto was doing chakra transfer, and because he did it with Team 10, the Akimichis and Naras.

Wow, I can't believe this thread already blew up into twenty-three pages. th_twitchsmile.gif At least the mood is a more light-hearted compared to the 615 release. tongue.gif

I really loved this chapter, it was great! Almost enough to redeem 615's diasterous qualities. But really, what I was expecting didn't happen. I thought more NH crap would be shoved down her throats because of the ending of the last chapter. So imagine my shock when I saw Hinata almost fade away in the background again like 615 never really happened. Naruto quickly went back to ignoring her. laugh.gif And one of the highlights of the chapter? It was definitely when Naruto gave his chakra to everyone a few moments afterwards. Guilty, I'm sorry. xD I laughed pretty damn hard when I saw that. Just ... LMAO. 111189.gif I can't honestly be surprised Kishimoto did this. He's literally the master troll, after all. tongue.gif I feel stupid now. Naruto himself pretty much downgraded the romantic value that could've been created for NH canon. It's no longer able to be used for inevitable romantic proof by a long shot without grasping for straws. I don't care what some stubborn NH fans argue, they got trolled BIG TIME. At least the ones who allowed themselves to jump to conclusions without getting the full context. Those are the ones I'm laughing at. laugh.gif I'm suddenly reminded of RtN advertisements. Back then, I was depressed because I was predicting Sakura to give her full attention to playboy Sasuke and briefly ignore Naruto while Hinata practically hung on Naruto's shoulders. But what did we get instead? NaruSaku bond with rare cameos of Sasuke/Hinata. Kishi, you troll. pictureem0.gif

But who cares about NH? I love this chapter for many other reasons. One of my favorite parts was definitely Shikaku and Inoichi's last words to Ino and Shikamaru. It was very touching and bittersweet. I always liked Shikaku so the words he shared with his son were a good full-circle. And lol, only Shikaku could joke about his porn stash mere moments from getting blown up. 111189.gif While I never really felt any true connection to Ino's dad (We barely see him, after all), I liked the slight parallel you could make with both Ino and Sakura. Both of them are somehow related to flowers.wub.gif And as for Inoichi's comment about "positive love" with the Sasuke panel, I immediately intepreted it as anti-SasuIno. I'm actually surprised anyone saw it as anything but anti. Sasuke's panel was shrouded in darkness with a dark expression, very similiar to Sakura's mental image of him in 540. While Ino didn't have the level of grief and distress Sakura did, she seemed bitterly embarassed over her feelings for him. However, the fact that Sasuke was shrouded in black instead of white, that was enough an answer for me that Ino would try and move on to something more "positive".

Oh, absolutely loved the Kakashi/Naruto speech at the end of the chapter! wow.png It was such a nice comeback for Kakashi's failed team with Obito and Rin plus his line in the Zabuza arc. It made a lot of sense and added more meaning into what he was saying, knowing his past. And DEAR GOD, Naruto's talk no jutsu impressed the hell out of me. wot.gif Cheesiness be damned, it was just epic. Though guiltily, my intial reaction while reading was something along the lines of "Holy crap! Naruto's using such big words. What the heck happened to him?!" XD XD Can't help it. Naruto and "intelligent, smart talk" creep me out. sweat.gif I liked how Kishimoto redeemed Naruto's character development. He was acting like a pathetic mess last chapter and regressing, now he's regaining his "Never give up!" spirit. Well done, Kishi. biggrin.gif

And of course, the reappearance of my favorite Uchiha, Sasuke ( Just kidding! It's actually Itachi. rolleyes.gif). Right away, I reacted with anger and impatience. th_cussing.gif Like "No! I don't care about Sasuke right now! I wanna know the pairing drama, damnit!" I truly don't mind seeing him in action, he's one of my favorite characters after all. But the NH stuff in 615 made me care more about pairings then plot. xD I wouldn't be able to STAND Sasuke and his problems. But it went back to Naruto, so I was relieved. sweatdrop.gif I think I can handle some switcheroos the past few chapters now between Naruto fighting the Juubi and Sasuke "doing something". On a related note, Sasuke's back in Konoha now, huh? Nice to see you follow the yellow brick road, Sasuke. tongue.gif

That color spread was beautiful! I very much love it. Sakura looked great in her flowered kimono. wub.gif I give Kishi stats for the details in it, it must've taken forever. Though I struggled for several minutes to figure out if I was looking at Sasuke or Obito. XD I'm guessing Sasuke, since a Team 7 grouping makes a lot more sense.

Speaking of Sakura, where the hell is she? I didn't see her at all in this chapter (I kept trying to see if she was one of the ones Naruto was giving chakra too. Slightly disappointed she wasn't one of them). It's clear Kishimoto hasn't forgotten about her, she's on the colorspread and he established her as the heroine again. I wonder why? Naruto and Sakura have always been kept apart from each other since the confession. It's really weird. I'm getting more and more sure something big with happen with Sakura soon and the NaruSaku relationship along with it. Darn the suspense!

Overall, I'm very satisfied and in a good mood now. happy.gif The NaruHina wave seems to have subsided for a while and Hinata along with it, something I'm grateful for. Given how easily the hand-holding was brushed under the rug by Naruto, it looks like it's definitely leaning more towards Hinata development than NaruHina becoming canon. I'm actually convinced most of the NH threat has reverted back to the way it was before 615. However, I'm not blind. NH's chances still increased somewhat, thanks to her bringing him back and all that. But's it's probability in canonhood has drastically depleted in my eyes after 616. NaruSaku is still in the running. I think I'm okay now. I'd much prefer no pairing moments for a while longer while they fight Obito. Whether NS, NH, or SS, I've had my fill of shipping drama. I don't wanna feel more obsessed with pairings than the actual plot again like I had been the past three weeks. sweat.gif
