I could be a jerk and not tell anything, but I'll let you know, it's fantasy medieval series about an mercenary called Alexander Reed (yeah, that's right Alexander, I'm not good coming up with names) and tell the story of how he becomes the chosen one to wield an legendary sword that is supposed to clear all evils of the world, something that already happened long time ago, but the problem is that our "hero" couldn't care less about this matter, and just want to use the magic sword for his own personal gain, then it comes to the main heroine to convince him to use the sword for a good cause, wich aways cause them to clash, and then they part on a epic journey to save the world. And well, that's pretty much the summary for now. But I still have time to change the script if I come up with an better idea.

Sounds interesting; taking a not-exactly-new idea and putting your own spin on it. I look forward to reading it

I know, it' extremelly tipical, lol, but there is not much of new things to add to this sort of series.

The premise has been done before, yes, but it comes down to the details you add that make it stand out--especially in the main characters. It's not impossible to add something new to something old, y'know? ^^

Yeah, I know, I kind of old fashioned, so I like this type of series, and yeah, I'm trying to make the main characters the biggest appeal of the series. For example, I was thinking to make the main protagonist to be part of an mercenary guild, then I realized it would be too similar to Fairy Tail, I need to be carefull to not make my manga look too similar to other series.

You could work it so it's different from Fairy Tail, though: whereas Natsu is completely devoted to his guild, your character could be rather indifferent towards his. Or, while Fairy Tail is a guild full of all different kinds of jobs, the mercenary guild your character belongs to could be for specific jobs, like assassinations or espionage.

*shrug* Sometimes the best ideas come from sitting down and brainstorming with ideas you like from existing things and then tweaking them to match your needs.

Lol, more like an non existent member, Lmao, since the main character only works solo, and don't like to take jobs with other members, wich would latter get everyone shocked after seeing that he found himself an partner.

he's not mister popularity in there, that's for sure XD But kushina, you have some nice ideas, I just gave you an hunch of what the plot is like and you already gave some pretty good advices. Did you ever tought about making your original series?

Eeeh, once in high school. I used to write all the time, actually, in high school--was even part of a writing club. But for the last two years or so I haven't had much motivation to, so I stick to my drawing ^^

I don't draw manga as in comics, or a series--I draw purely for fun and mostly end up doodling anymore. I do have a deviantArt account, but I'm really bad at posting things there; mostly because I'm really lazy about scanning things into my computer ^^;

That's alright, drawing comics can be quite frustrating, and tiresome, and scanning can also be an real pain in the arse, I myself don't know how to use photoshop, so I need to use more primitive means to clean my drawings, like paint, wich is very slow and annoying, lol!

Dude, props for using oldschool paint! I don't color often, and when I do it's with pens, markers, or crayons XD Occasionally I'll color in Photobucket (the poor man's Photoshop lol), but not often.

Dude, props for using oldschool paint! I don't color often, and when I do it's with pens, markers, or crayons XD Occasionally I'll color in Photobucket (the poor man's Photoshop lol), but not often.

Good for you, whenever I try to color my drawings, it looks like an mess, the black line colors mix with the colors of the rest of drawing, creating an horrid effect XD

I can kind of relate; it almost seems that the drawings I color would have been better off with just the lineart. My inking's pretty bad, and my coloring just makes the inking look worse XD

AAAAAGGHHHH I'M BURNING.

Just got home from the local Relay for Life, and I'm bright bright red; didn't do a very good job of keeping up with the sunscreen and now I'm roasted DX

I was gonna donate my hair to Locks of Love, but they said that since my hair's got a layer in it it'd be too difficult. Tsk, darn. I was hoping to donate for a second time, but only if the opportunity was there. I'm not planning on going out and making an appointment to get it done, like the first time.

But, sunburn and not-donated-hair aside, it was a good day. Walked ten laps (one hour's worth) around the high school track for a friend's mother that sadly passed a way a few years ago because of breast cancer. One booth run by some friends had a really fun theme of "War on Cancer", and you could pay two dollars to lock someone up in their "brig"--then they had to try and earn five dollars from whoever they could to bail themselves out XD My dad and brother were in there quite often ;P
