Nope... I don't think that had to do with Naruto confessing. It was the POAL that held him back the most.. so that's why it got no resolution at the end, it would have lead to Naruto confessing and NS becoming canon. A confession would have happened at the end, so I don't see a reason for it to be brought up so soon

And that's why we don't get any meaningful two side NS conversation in the entire war arc.
Because it will lead to romantic resolution. NS is at the boiling point after kage summit arc. It reach critical point that will break or make it.

Sasuke wasn't there enough to ruin anything. Naruto for becoming scumbag, Sakura for regress in character development in 699, and Hinata for causing what I just mentioned to happen. Edit; I forgot to mention scarf-kun.

Sasuke fickleness was annoying for most part of the story, and in the end he didn't suffered any hard consequence for his actions.

Yeah, Naruto ironically is the villain of this story. His love for Sakura in the end was petty, childish and vain, and part 1 Sakura thus had every reason to despise him. There was nothing genuine from Naruto to Sakura, while Sakura on the other hand throws away every ounce of self respect she had and forgives Sasuke despite all of his betrayals and murder attempts. No mind of her own and reduced to an pitiful fangirl.

I'm going to advice my brother to watch the movie he's no shipper by any stretch of the imagination but he hates Hinata with a burning passion because he considers she's responsible for Neji's death and a waste of good paper and ink, of course he isn't aware there's a movie after the ending nor does he know what it's about even tough he owns the first 55 volumes he isn't a hardcore fan. I'm going to hype him about this movie and tell him he mustn't miss it, this is my payback for making me discover Naruto.

 

The 'man' that just abandoned me after 13 years made me discover Naruto. LOL

Forget blaming Kishimoto or anyone fourth wall wise. Focus on the story. Now then...Who shall get the most blame: Sasuke or Hinata?

i can't possibly forget kishi because he's the one who created the story. his favoritism for sasuke and sexist outlook all reflect in the story. kishi just chose to cash in on hinata's suppose popularity.

I never once said that it was ok for Naruto to decide how she felt, but it is damn sure within his rights to challenge her given her history and her sudden change of heart, especially when she told the blatant lie that Sasuke meant nothing to her. 

 

Naruto was wrong for calling her a liar in front of everyone (even though he was justified), but neither was she right for bringing everyone there in the first place. He didn't have the right to tell her how she felt, but nor did she have the right to determine that his feelings were only worth enough for her to manipulate without giving proper thought to them. She should have been straight up with him from the start, as she told Shikimaru she would. Her believing it had do be done doesn't excuse the fact that her actions were just as much wrong as his were. 

 

He was rude, yes, but so was she for determining that his feelings were an outlet for him to be manipulated, no matter the intent behind it. 

 

The only thing that I've maintained this whole time was that neither Sakura or Naruto were right in the way that they approached and handled the situation. They both f**cked up. It is incredibly unfair for you to entirely lump blame on Naruto for a situation he did not start.

Do I think Naruto was wrong about everything? no because that would invalidate HIS FEELINGS. ( like he did to Honest Sakura.) but looking at the situation completely, Knowing everything we know, I do not see a reason to feel sorry for someone who has a woman willing to KILL someone she had feelings for, for the other man she JUST confessed too.

ALL I HAVE SAID IS; "I do not feel bad for Naruto." All I have done is DEFEND my right not to feel bad for Naruto about this scene. You don't like me feeling no pity for him about this?

To reiterate: I'm not calling Sakura a b*tch. I'm not saying it's entirely her fault. I'm simply saying it's equally troublesome to say Naruto is the only one to blame.

And that's one of my biggest problems with the ending as a whole: it's far too easy to paint Naruto as "the biggest scumbag," and I think that's a damn travesty to destroy the titular character in such a way. His love for Sakura was pure and persevered through 698 chapters. For Kishi to cast it away so carelessly is horrible.

I think he wanted to cash in on the most popular pairing in the east (SasuSaku) and the most popular pairing in the west (NaruHina). You have to be real stupid to write your story off popularity polls and that's what has landed us in this mess.

The bold line is all the evidence that I need showing that you haven't read a single word that I've written. At no point did I ever express that you should feel pity for Naruto. Once again, the only thing that I have maintained this whole time is that it is unfair for you to lump the blame solely on Naruto without regard for Sakura's own deserved fault. I've said time and time again that it was both their faults, which you've decided to ignore. 

 

So if you want to drop it, that's fine by me, it's not like you've acknowledged anything except what you've wanted to anyway.

There is so much truth in the bold it hurts. I still can't believe what this series has amounted to in order to prop up a side character with zero relevance to the story.

If Kishi decided to cash in... don't you think this movie would have been about Sasuke and SS? That's where the real cash would come from, not NH. I think NH was the result of SP and their extreme obsession with her character and VA, nothing to do with Kishi. He's just playing along and coming up with all this because he sold out to them. 

Don't worry in the future there will plenty of SS content for them to cash-in on. Good thing we won't be around to see it.
