Hurts them, but maybe Mink Tribe higher ups are supposed to be at an emperor subordinates level. Remember Luffy's subordinates should be the strongest in the end. I'm sure the Minks will be part of his subordinate crew. Making him now have 8 groups following him.

True. I guess people think of Shounen hype system where if you're afflaited with the most powerful leader, you must be strong yourself that you're only second fiddle yet powerful to take out an army, which makes the the leader stronger. Er, kind of hard to explain but basically, pawns share hype level with the master.

That's true. I guess people hoped for them to be the jobber/fodder to push the enemy into a strong light. When you think about it, I don't think Kaido's team got the right push like Big Mam with Joker and all.

The flash backs were necessary but they didn't feel like they were dragging on so that was nice. Gotta love the lets beat the crap outta our captain moments. Aside from that it was an informative and overall ok chapter. However for me personally the next chapter will be the deal breaker. If we get flashbacks, fine, but for the love of god they better include Sanji.

I guess the only downside is that we learn what happened, take out Jack, and problem solved. No need for that background story. not me though, just think people may be effected by it.

I didn't mind the flashbacks either. They're necessary, plus we got a look a a future opponent, and a bit of key information. We know that Jack is one of 3 of Kaido's highest subordinates. Assuming Luffy will fight Kaido, probably with Law, that leaves Zoro and Sanji on two of the three high ranking Kaido members. The third one might fall to someone on Law's crew, or it might fall to Luffy's crew. Nobody is strong enough on their own to handle a high ranking member on their own so it's either all of them tag team the 3rd member, or somebody really strong makes his straw hat debut...somebody like, say, Jinbe!

Oh, so yesterday I bought th first box set of OP (the first 23 volumes) :3 I'll be able to see all the LuNa up close and personal, while Sanji is forever and always alone XD

Just started watching one piece a few weeks ago, I'm on episode 49 right. Man it really has good story arcs and awesome characters. Nami's arc was so damn sad and actually made me tear up including Sanji's, Zoro's and Usopp's backstories all made me emotional. That's how awesome this anime is it knows how to give you the feels and make characters interesting! So far this anime has been awesome 10/10!!
