Lmao. Graven-kun you always sound more anti-NH then anything xD you really don't like that couple huh?

Believe me or not I don't hate N/H. To me is an unrealistic pairing they rarely see each other they rarely say a word to one another, if they do talk Hinata ends up fainting which is silly to a point that becomes annoying. Compare to Naruto and Sakura who are always together, they both have chemistry, they always talk to one another and they understand each other and most important they have development. N/H may be a cute pairing but it doesn't have any development whatsoever. N/S is more realistic I think Kishi will agree.

Exactly! Though, I honestly don't find NH that cute, personally I don't think they look that good together but whatever. True, they never interact, the only times they've seen each other is on a mission or Hinata gets caught stalking him x_X

Because most people in America can't understand that Hinata is a secondary character and she's useless to the plot line kruemelmonsteryn0.gif

-Don't you love how i'm dissing my own country? HA! I'm German/Italian there is no such thing as "American's"!

There are various reasons why N/H as well S/S are famous:

1. N/H and S/S are pairings base on western culture (which they don't have a clue that Kishi writes his manga base on the Japanese culture or eastern culture). Most girls see themselves in Hinata and Sakura trying to impress the boys they like, even if Kishi didn't intended to focus on romance during part 1.

2. Most of the supporters of these pairings are teenagers (fan girls heheelq7.png)

3. They are obviously fans of Twilight. dry.gif

4. The fillers arc that lasted one year and a half. This is what gave N/H so much fuss and popularity in the first place like the Bikoucho arc. arg.giffacepalm.png The studios of the anime (Pierot) are supporters of N/H and since they didn't know which pairing Kishi was developing or focusing in his manga they went with N/H supporting the pairing with the fillers. They didn't know like I mentioned above Kishi didn't intended to focus on romance in part 1.

Now that's completely changed since Pierot knows very well which pairing Kishi is secretly supporting and developing they have no choice to follow his path. But the damage has been done, now the world is full of N/H fans, the main character of the series being pair with a secondary character who is not important to the main story rarely appears and the main character has no clue that she likes him. fu.png

S/S is more base on Twilight.

Sasuke/Sakura and Bela/Edward

Edward and Sasuke- both are emo

Part 1 Sakura and Bela- they are both fan girls and they don't know how to think.

Let's look what the fans wanted and thought of the pairing:

1) Main heroine is a "pain, a fangirl to the emo boy, and a b*tch, not to mention abusive to the said main character", thus = MUST HATE HER!!!
2) Shy girl comes into picture, has crush with main character = DESTINY!!! They must be hook-up.
3) She debuted in Episode 1 in the anime (which she's supposed to be debuted later in the Chunin Exams) and show her crush... ah LOVE!!!~
4) oooh, fillers count so main character saw her naked and was stunned and has powerful moves unlike B*thcy heroine = YAY~!!
5) Let's move to Part 2 (WHERE'S HINATA?!!!) Oh there she is... WOW!!! She has a body of a goddess!!! Naruto will definitely hook up with her!!
6) Her personality is she's very kind to Naruto and do anything for him (they always assumed that)
7) With SasuSaku, its based on alot on Western fiction movies, TV series, books, etc. that have bad romance plots.

I could come up more if you want.

You what guys, I really wonder how the anime will play out Sakura's confession. Damn it has been 2 yrs since I watched it & with these new developments in the manga I may have to return to the anime to see how it plays out. The last time I checked I'll say that the anime is better than the manga.

Er... Sometimes the anime is nice and will add in a little NS (Ex: Episode 129, Naruto and Sakura alone watching the fireworks and Sakura saying "I hope we can see the fireworks together again next year") EHEHE... Then the Sakura add-on to a episode that was in the Manga.
Wait a minute, the anime has totally turned NS on are butts, YES! Like the fillers now.

Shippuden is a lot better than the first season of Naruto. Obviously there's more N/S development because Kishi is developing the pairing in his manga, the animators have to play out what his writing. They must show the 450 hug and the confession because it has been show in the manga, I'm sure they won't screw up like they did with part 1.

The common shonen romance plotline of tsundere girl and goofball, somewhat pervy main male character. Sakura's much softer, romantic and compassionate than the typical shonen tsundere though- she comes much closer to how that type pairing plays out in shoujo manga. Naruto didn't have the kind of jerkish component that the male in that type of shonen manga often does- Tsunade and Jiraiya play out the more common versions of those type characters.

Ranma 1/2 basically solidified the character types and plotline in shonen in 1987, Mazinger Z began it.

Around the same time (1972-3) Rose of Versailles brought that plotline and the tsundere type character to shoujo manga with Lady Oscar. Actually Lady Oscar has more in common with the shonen type tsundere than how the type evolved in shoujo- she's much more violent physically than a modern shoujo tsundere is and her personality is of a tough girl, but more like in shoujo, Lady Oscar's violence is realistic, not comedic. It's meant to show what a violent world France before and during the French Revolution was. Like in the common plotline in shoujo Lady Oscar begins the story already liking Andre, but as a friend (and sparring partner). Andre, though is already starting to fall in love with her. Gradually her feelings of friendship deepens into a love as passionate as Andre's for her.

Sayaka and Kouji in Mazinger Z have a romantic development pretty similar to typical shonen. Sayaka has displays of comedic temper directed toward Kouji meant to hide her attraction to him, etc...

Anime is doing it for rating purposes plus Naruto & Sakura are funny they just take it to another level to keep people interested in watching the show. You must admit there are some scenes in anime that should & could have fit in the manga.

I've read a lot of manga and watched a lot of anime over the years (starting with Speed Racer in 1971 for anime, and the one shot "I Saw It" for manga- first manga translated and professionally published in English in the US). Rose of Versailles is one of my favorite manga and I still don't understand why no one has bought the rights to fully translate it into English or even the anime made of it (although the animation style is rather dated now). Mazinger Z hasn't had a full translation either, but at least some of the anime was dubbed in English as Tranzor Z and shown on US TV (how I saw it in 1985). Rose of Versailles is enormously popular amongst manga fans and has been for years, there's never been a real explanation why no one has bought the rights to translate it.

Besides the 129 omake (N/S date at the festival heheelq7.png) I also love this other omake (don't remember the episode) that Naruto and Sakura were waiting for Kakashi to arrive, as usual he was late for the team meeting. So they decided to get even with him for keeping them waiting. While Kakashi was helping an old lady carry her things he ends up rescuing a cat at the top of lamp from two children, the feline ended ripping part of his mask his face wasn't shown though dry.gif. It turned out that the two little kids were Naruto and Sakura in a transformation jutsu. Both of them smile at the camera saying that he had it coming for always keeping them waiting.

I just love how cute they looked together and how much they think alike truly funny and cute omake N/S style. danarusakunp3.gif
