Oh, does anyone know whether we'll be getting any more trailers until the world premiere, especially after the manga ends, or will this be pretty much the only one? I also guess it's safe to assume that we'll get more TV spots?

You know NS has a high chance of being canon when people who don't even follow this series or know very little of it act like this pairing is the most logical outcome. I just saw a post on Tumblr from a mutual whose blog is centered around "Fairy Tail," in which they encouraged us to hold on to hope and not jump to negative conclusions. Many people whom I've met in real life who aren't even necessarily Pro-Sakura aren't surprised that she and Naruto might end up together and even support it! 

 

Let the power of NS flow through you guys!  The will of yellow and pink is strong!

She says that we are fixating to much on one detail and forget everything else that has happened. That although she hates Sakrua very much and thinks Hinata deserves Naruto more, the manga has given  to much clues for that to overlook it.

I'm befuddled that you continue to drive it home about this "silver medal" concept.

 

At this point there really is no reason to offer a counter, because so many times you have shot people down.  Yet you still continue to bring it up over and over and even put it in your signature.  

 

Are you seeking closure or proper justification?  I do not think we can provide that to you friend, we have all offered our reasoning.

 

Just accept that Kishimoto is not the best at writing romance or female characters, from there you would have an easier time swallowing the pill. 

Well Naruto will appear to be a silver medal and unlike many others I am not fine with it.

 

It is a topic to be brought up and every huge Naruto(character) fan will bring it up until kishi somehow does justify Naruto not being a silver medal in the remaining chapters.

 

Proper justification, but I haven't got any other than people suddenly start telling me that

1)if Naruto is silver medal then so is Hinata. So according to many people justifications as long as Naruto gets to be with Sakura his being silver medal is fine.

2)NS has lots of developments so Naruto can't be silver medal, but he clearly will be because Sakura kittening fake confessed and now in 693 when Sasuke didn't reciprocate as always she will get solace with Naruto still loving her.

3)Sakura already loves Naruto, so how can he still be a silver medal. If she does really love Naruto why so desperate attempt by the use of words "I LOVE YOU". Couldn't she just trust in Naruto or just tell Sasuke to be back just like the old times. But she had to add those words "I LOVE YOU".

 

Everybody is entitled to their opinions and to me I am confused whether to like NS or hate it as much as SS/NH because one part of my mind loves NS and wants it to end with kishi somehow magically justifying all the stupid actions of Sakura he made her do and the other part of my mind is so much fed up with Sakura's stupid unresolved feelings that it doesn't want NS to happen.

 

 

Well this will be true because whichever pairing happens it will have lots of things to be justified which I don't think he has thought off neither has the time to justify them. He could have done NS nicely but noooo he had to mess it up in the late part 2 as well. This will be false as well because "to me I am confused whether to like NS or hate it as much as SS/NH because one part of my mind loves NS and wants it to end with kishi somehow magically justifying all the stupid actions of Sakura he made her do and the other part of my mind is so much fed up with Sakura's stupid unresolved feelings that it doesn't want NS to happen" he has driven my mind to craziness as well.

Indeed! Over at the Viz forum I've seen people that are not shippers or don't care much about shipping actually seeing the logic in NaruSaku

 

If worst case scenario happens this all is just meant to be an international cash grab (as it may make tons of money outside Japan due to the story)

 

And since this is a movie thread, got a question, anyone else think Hinata may end up losing her Byakugan powers at the end? same goes for Hanabi

The silver medal argument is juvenile. People don't tend to find the one that's perfect for them at their first time. Most of the time they'll make mistakes, love the wrong person, stay together for the wrong reasons, and so on. That's just life.

Has this been confirmed? The last thing I saw news-wise on the movie site was the official confirmation that Jun Fukuyama is the seiyuu for Toneri, which, on an unrelated note, is making me fangirl. (It's Lelouch, yo! )

Anyone thought that Naruto confessed to Sakura at the end of the manga and she accepts. I think the big secret in the movie is that their together, I find it strange that they haven't reveal Sakura's role in the movie.

That would make it the greatest troll ever. Too good to be true.

She watched Road to Ninja with me and said that one movie cannot conclude a pairing in her opinion. She didn't even know that movies for Naruto existed in the first place before I told her. And believe me, she was once a hardcore fan, although that isn't the case anymore since Madara died for real  
And to be honest, I think she's right. I won't stop people to jump the ship or whatever, but it's stupid to do so when the manga's end isn't revealed yet. Just imagine for one second: What if we are indeed canon in the epilogue? Is the movie's theme totally destroyed or not? Is Hinata's goal to actually be with Naruto or does she just want her feelings to reach?

Still dont understand why we should give up. Nothing negative happened, NS have 10times more chances than NH. I dont eat marketing tricks.

I don't think anyone here, at the moment, is giving up. I think the fandom should have some discussions to help calm each other down, but every time I've come to this thread, all I see is:

- People screaming at other people for being worried, and
- People arguing with incorrect facts ("it's all SP's fault! They're biased! Kishimoto would not approve!")

I like this video. Granted I don't agree with a lot of what he says about NaruSaku but he's very reasonable. Especially regarding NH and the poor development of pretty much all the pairings.

Honestly, I'm not even worried about things changing for the sake of money and marketing. Ultimately, this is Kishi's story, and the film ties into it. It goes by his wishes.

 

"Road to Ninja," a Pro-NS film and a reflection of Kishi's attitude toward his story and plans, was released in 2012, and this film was announced not too far thereafter. On top of that, it was obvious that Kishi knew how things would end since then, if not even earlier than that point in time. The only NH moment after that point that we got came the following year, which, while it was more than chakra transfer, I admit, didn't really have any romantic implications. Additionally, we've had so much NS given to us since then ("I can feel his heart." and CPR scenes, anyone?), which, coupled with all the development it had even before then, makes it quite clear that Kishi's preference lies with NS. 

 

With that having been said, I think that if NH were to be endgame, Kishi would've developed things more differently. Even if he had changed his mind after RtN, as late as it would've been, the trajectory of the story in this regard would've had to have been drastically changed since chapter 615, I think. Naruto wouldn't have called Sakura his girlfriend several chapters later, which also confirmed the MinaKushi parallel, wouldn't have made that ambiguous comment about having found a girl like Kushina to his father, which could only apply to Sakura, since being with Hinata, who's made her feelings known, wouldn't be a challenge for him, and wouldn't have brought up the promise of a lifetime, despite Sakura having released him from it long ago in the Land of Iron. These are all very telling signs that Naruto still has feelings for Sakura and is willing to pursue her. On top of all that, we have hints galore of Sakura's changing feelings, which have been rooted in an implicit preference for Naruto that has been shown even in Part 1. 

 

I really only see NS happening.

The big question is WHY Naruto hasn't confessed yet? I don't think Naruto and Sakura will be a couple in the movie right off the bat. And honestly, Kishi won't make Naruto's confession off screen or completely skip it. It's either Naruto AND Sakura are already a couple and SP are holding out on it, Naruto gave Sakura time to get over Sasuke( That's if her confession was platonic) or he was afraid of being rejected.

They would not be a secret couple, just the trailer wouldn't show them as a couple to troll NHers.

 

Their being a couple makes more sense to me than Naruto not progressing his love life for 2 years with any of those girls...
