The pairing didn't exist to become canon tho. I think it's great because his affection for her existed not because they were gonna marry some day, but Orihime could be his light without having her character destroyed. It just added some interesting spice to the arc imo. :3

tell that to the many ulquihime fans who thought they would become an item during that arc. and i don't think his affection for her was great at all, especially when he caused her to have a mind break. that was incredibly disturbing to watch and it almost brought me to tears seeing her collapse like that.

but it's not an exaggeration, ahk. he tried to murder her multiple times, and has said that he wants to rip open her chest. he knows how much she loves ichigo because he has studied her, so he goes to kill him right in front of her just so she can give up all hope. this pair has been abusive since they first met, and it makes ss look like child's play.

That's not true though. He never once tried to murder her, he even said that he was under explicit orders not to kill her, and that he wouldn't kill her unless Aizen said otherwise. Similarly, he never said that he wanted to rip her heart out. He was asking a question. Orihime was prattling about her heart (the metaphorical one) or something, and Ulquiorra responded by saying that "My eyes see everything. There is nothing I can't see. So if I can't see it, it does not exist." He then used that to qualify his point of the human heart not existing. All he did was ask her that if he tore open her chest (which, by the way, I didn't really like, I'm not defending it) would he see the mind of heart that she was talking about. The only thing he did was kill Ichigo. Sasuke said he was going to do the same thing. Everything you creditors Ulquiorra with was done to Sakura by Sasuke.

I'm going to have to disagree...what went on with Orihime in that place was awful. She had no allies, she had no protection, her life was only protected by Aizen's word. Even that didn't protect her from being terrified, hit, beat, and emotionally scared. 
Ulquiorra TAUNTS her about the impending death of her friends, she has to watch the man she loved being "killed"  by Ulquiorra after all that other kitten. That moment where she is repetitively screaming out for Ichigo, ( in english, in Japanese it was literally just horrifying gibberish) wasn't worse then what Sasuke did to Sakura in THAT moment? In my opinion its more then enough to trump what Sasuke did to Sakura. She's literally BROKEN in that moment. 

Its testament to her character that Orihime recovers like she did...

Except Sasuke did not kill Naruto in front of Sakura after imprisoning her, letting people terrify, beat her up, taunt her about the impending death of everyone she loves.

Ripping out hearts

He is literally REACHING for it. As though he intends to do what he's saying. At the very least this is another threat to her mental well being, because now she has to worry every night whether or not Ulqui is gonna sneak up in there and snatch that kitten

Sakura didn't LIVE with psycho Sasuke. Orihime was exposed to this wack job a hell of a lot longer. So by that logic the damage is greater IMO.

...AHK I'm gonna have to just let you have your opinion. Sakura's 693 moment had nothing on mind broken Orihime, as she's helplessly screaming out for DEAD ichigo. Nor did was she held captive by Sasuke for a prolonged period of time, where she was subjected to Mental and emotional Trauma. 

Sakura had allies and friends she could depend on, Orihime had nothing but herself and false hopes. You can argue that Ulqui is not responsible for EVERYTHING she experienced, but he's a big damn part of it.

We're talking about in the context of the relationship, they didn't even have a relationship at that point.

 

It wasn't a clear attempt, he wasn't going to kill her. He was using hand motions to reinforce his point, a lot of people do it. You can argue that it's as bad as SS, but it definitely isn't worse.

 

We should probably carry on elsewhere if you want, I don't mind because it kinda relates to Naruto since we're comparing the two, but others do I guess.

A japanese girl told me that when I asked about Junko saying to kishi to shut up; what was people reactions about the movie and the new series, if the rumor about Naruto abusing Hinata is true and if people really muttered under their breaths that they wouldn't watch the movie when Kishi told them to do so.

But that was when he first met her, they didn't know eachother back then. Killing someone is always a bad thing and of course should never be excused, but this isn't an example of the abuse you speak of, or how unhealthy the ship is.
