I kinda liked that he was incapable of feeling, I didn't even think that he was capable of it when he died. What I thought is that he achieved an understanding, rather than feeling. I thought that his nihilistic tendency was pretty cool, and I loved his pensive tendency. I also thought he had achieved a measure of respect for Ichigo, which was reciprocated nicely. I enjoyed that immensely.
