He couldn't hit jackpot with other series. Once he finally did, he was told what to do as Kishi said, "Follow editor. They're right" philosophy. Too bad he doesn't know the limit. Many trainwreck ensue.
No I think his next editors were young and inexperienced they let Kishi do his magic, I even heard he changed editors many times after Yagahi left. On top of that he was most likely influenced by the morons at SP and ta da.
Man, Yahagi should've never bailed away from the series... Think of the posibilities we could have regarding the progression of the plot?
The poor man had to fight to keep Kishi's retardeness in check, he even said he had to argue with him to convince him which road to take and which one was better for the overall story. I'm sure he felt relieved at the end when he left and I can't blame him.
