well now that everyone knows that he's a sick, sexist piece of kitten, it should be clear that that's how he operates. i always thought neji's death was random, and years later we find out why he died. 

Remember the days we have a small battle of defending this moment vs. against it. Turns out the against it is the winner. Sad. Because I was with the defense. I admit, it was very out of place, but now we truly know.

So he had all those years to hint/develop NH and brace fans for the out come but, he decides to continue giving false hope to NS fans and to let a movie explain.

Why is why I don't believe that it was decided 4 or 5 years ago. If anything, I am more inclined to believe that it was decided two years ago. That would explain 615, but it doesn't explain why the movie completely negates Neji's cupid moment. 

 

Kishi is either a lazy writer who just suddenly decided to switch the pairings around but couldn't be bothered to develop them proplerly or he's a troll who knew that as long as he kept giving out hints to all pairings, he could ensure that more people would read his manga. 

 

No matter what, he will never convince me that NH and SS were planned from the beginning. He may say so, but the manga that he himself has written over 15 years says otherwise.

Yes, I believe that was the case.
In 2010 there's popularity poll for 10th year anniversary. Hinata beat sakura.
2010 is the year kishi assistant tweet about "naruto doesn't has heroine since 2010".
It's the year where sakura confession happen and in jump festa people critics her confession to the point kishi need to defend her.
And in the recent interview he said that Hinata is more popular than sakura.
And that's is one of the if not the only reason why nh happen.

That's why believe he give up on sakura.

And shikamaru doesn't has romance, he just pair him up and it's legitimate.

I thought Neji's death would've been something that finally got Hinata to get over Naruto and want to become the head of her clan, but nope, he was another stepping stone in Hinata's journey of finally getting the D

Even if after it she vowed to Naruto that they would save Sasuke together, now she is suddenly letting everything to Naruto again?

I believe Kishi didn't know kitten about the last, until it was already completed. So, he had to scramble and create two different chapters, than the ones he was working on, which is why the art on 699/700 looks off and are full of errors. That's also why, they're pushing so heavily on the fact that he created the movie, with all these inside looks and interviews. He probably drew the designs, for a different movie, one where all of K12 and missing characters would appear, but SP took them and created their ultimate fantasy.

Of course not. Maybe it would have been much sooner, but Pain Arc was simple though fun one.

 

Damn, that moment really hurt me when I read that part. Actually, many people at NF was like "Oh wow. Kishi, you sexist bastard. Now Sakura is complete useless." I remember this day still. I mean how everything that was planned got deleted all the sudden.

Yeah Hinata's infatuation for Naruto literally got Neji killed. You would think she'd want to give up on the guy after that. Nope--it was just to force Naruto with her out of guilt and honor so Neji's death wouldn't be in vain. Terrible way to create a couple.
Naruto and Sakura have a more natural development.

Which is why many of them never make sense, creating plot holes, creating inconsistency, which finally leads to failure.

I was told there was a scarf punch. Lol. Yeah, that says it all. Though maybe just maybe it wasn't his fault with those ridiculous writings of the scarf. I think SP just went hard on it. Possible. But like that Japanese review said, "I'm so sick of scarf, scarf, and all of scarf!"

I still can't believe that Naruto secretly had feelings for Hinata in the manga. The one he wanted to confess to was Sakura--he implies this to Sai. Which is why it feels so AU to have him confessing his love TWICE to Hinata in the movie. It was never shown in the story--NH was always one-sided.
