I think there's no way he could die. Main characters in shonen manga usually don't. Sure, there are a few exceptions, but Naruto isn't that kind of manga.
Also, Naruto dying and Sasuke staying alive has zero chance of happening. It could be that Sasuke will die trying to save Naruto, but I'm not a fan of the idea.
Idk about the whole Shonen thing, but ur right, main characters dont die especially in a manga/anime where its all about the underdog accomplishing all his goals.
I can personally see the Naruto dying scenario happening, but with one addition. While Naruto's starting to fade away Sasuke pulls out some sort of Self-sacrificial Resurrection no Jutsu out of thin air and brings him back. Then when Naruto looks at him shocked, Sasuke says something like, "Just look at your face, you look like such a loser." Then everyone says their good-byes to Sasuke instead, and all of a sudden Sasuke's a hero who never tried to kill anyone. He gets a statue in Konoha and Naruto names his son Sasuke.
Hurray for happy endings.
I know a lot of people like that idea, but personally I dont like it. I'd rather him names his son Naruto, Minato, or Jiryia (I'm leaning on Jiryia) who knows he might name him Kishi
I do not think Naruto will die.
He will however, most definitively ''fake die'' atleast once, where it seems like he's dead, and then some random bullsh** happens and he lives again, this could range all the way from the kyuubi/sakura/sasuke saving him somehow to Kakashi having copied chiyos technique, could even be itachi or Jiraiya or his Parents doing it, you just dont know.
This is how I played it out in my head and its how I figured it would happen, but the 2011 OVA was basically this. And now Kishi might want to go another route since thats been taken/used/shown....its unfortunate that would have been a perfect ending in my book.
Anyone else feel like the OVA was perfect? Especially in terms of Narusaku...it was pure gold.
