But one intresting thing. Kishimoto did some good work on picturing core of characters. Till the very end I didn't even get an idea of Sasuke being in love with Sakura, never even once I thinked of that, not because of SS fandom, before 698 I wasn't even into this whole pairing war. But because characters were clear, Naruto loved Sakura, Sakura had crush on Sasuke and romantic feelings for Naruto, Sasuke was first was avenger, psycho, then lost soul, then avenger again then hokage, ther revolutioner... eh.

But Kishimoto in the end used some f**cked up excuses of "rivaly", "mislead", "only crush" and etc. I give that to him, nothing of that went for NS before, even glimpse of it.

Oh yes. Before 699/700, it was pretty clear that the manga would end with NS.

 

- Naruto was still in love with Sakura (no rivalry kitten). 

- Naruto had shown any romantic feelings for Hinata. 

- Sakura had been showing signs of falling in love with Naruto since the beginning of part 2. 

- Sakura made one last attempt at getting some sort of resolution with Sasuke.

- Sasuke bascially said that he wasn't interested in her at all and then proceeded to trap her in a cruel genjutsu.

 

In conclusion NS was still the only pairing with mutual development. NH was one sided. SS was both one sided and completely detrimental to both Sasuke and Sakura.

 

But of course, all that was just a mislead. Just further proof that Kishi is either a liar or an incompetent hack.

Your uncle is probably only a casual fan , he most likely didnt care about the story that much , he might have cared some day long ago but it looks like he lost focus on naruto , a lot of friends of mine turned out like this too.

That might happen. I mean, he used to even elaborate some points here and there and I just hear him out on it.

 

Btw, that 72 volumes oh-not-so-secret was supposed to be a picture of Narusasu right?

For my part, I think it is more or less like that. When the manga was finished, I try to ask my uncle's opinion (since he was also follower of it) on how Kishi  executes his controversial epilogue. He just snort and say, "ehh, seems okay to me," and he randomly ask "why, you're not satisfied with it? Is it because of the pairing? Or Naruto didn't end up with Sakura?" I was...where that come from, I want to ask his opinion on story-wise and how the end was shown to be inconsistent and all  . But unlike one other friend of mine, he openly said that the ending was surely a turn-off and very uninteresting for the same reason that we all know it. I can't make conclusion because this was not valid since the average for it can't be made from just two (excluding my own) different opinions, but from it, it shows mixed reviews did exist compared to just a total acceptance for shonen followers.

Really? Man I told my mom about the ending at the Thanksgiving dinner table. She was pissed and she doesn't even know what anime is. 

 

EDIT: Sakura literally said that Naruto can't tell the difference between love for ramen and love for a human being. That's so d*mn disrespectful.

I have mad issues with Nanatsu no Taizai. If you think the women in Narruto are written bad, they don't even compare to how female characters are portrayed in NnT. And the romance is written just as badly as NH/SS was. Unrequited love interests and then all of a sudden "hey I like you now I changed my mind over the course of one night  " Also the plot twists are so horrible. Nobody's really a "bad guy" in this story because they all get justified (kind of like Meruem from HxH). Like I really want to elaborate on it but I don't want to spoil for other people. Just know I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. 

 

And yes, everything you said about N v. S was on point, as usual. :)

Elizabeth was obvious from very beggining, Diana switched because of memory regain... Who's more? At least no love triangle for 15 years to be kittened up in the end. Plot twists? Huh, I'm ok with plot before Hendrickes went alive... It was obvious, but the way he did it... meh. Demon's didn't get any justice...

I can describe Sasuke  in only few words  ,  " Drama Queen  that had no real purpose and definite goal "  trough the course of the manga he didn't knew  what the hell he wanted most of the time and was shifting goals left and right there was no consistency to his character and that is why he SUCKS !!! , His only purpose was to steer some useless Drama kitten

That's the biggest "lie" one could do, there is nothing behind it. 15 years of proofs of another story - is there, The Last can't change whats written in paper.

Lucky  . When I tell my dad about how I hate Naruto ending, he just say

 

"My daughter, a 25 years old lady like you should just leave this hobby because it wasn't ladylike. And should think about marriage instead."     

 

That was supposed to be from the Last kitten right? I did not approve that Sakura to be the real Sakura, so anything from her mouth, I will disregard it.

Yes It was expected for him  to be redeemed  bc of reasons  what you're forgetting is there is more then one way of redemption  one of the is Death so yeah thematically it could have been done and fitted into the story .
 
I wouldn't say he saved the world bc 1 what you said and 2  Naruto beat him for it which means forcing him and 3. He barely did anything in this war in fact since the moment he arrived he spend  half of his time sitting on his royal ass .  If it weren't for the stupid brother reincarnation kitten  Sasuke would have been totally irrelevant in this war  basically he was only relevant bc of his " hand seal " kittening stupid . 
 
I'm not talking about him motives his motives are utter kitten and means  little to none for me what I'm talking about is the consequences  of his actions and that in the end Sasuke was Villain  and he should have been punished either by Death like all the freaking Villains or Eternal Jail  not  for his deeds to be brushed of and letting him of the hook  that's all .

I just cant agree on what you said about sasuke 's motives , i mean in my conception one of the main villains of the story is the ninja system itself since it brought up such a number of crazy and dysfunctional people , an example is kabuto and what happened to the uchiha
So i think that sasuke's motive is actually understandable , its just that his method was completely wrong .

At the same time i also believe he should 've been punished for the crimes he comitted, the lack of accountability was quite disturbing

Sasuke best ending for me is for him to stay sometime in prision while still dreaming about changing the system, afterwards he and naruto could 've worked together just so the system could have been changed in a peaceful manner

Sasuke obviously was going to be redeemed , no way kishimoto was going to kill him . His redemption though was messy , since he saved the world but he did because he eventually wanted to rule the world himself.
Sasuke motives are understantable , his methods were wrong , but i expected him to keep his drive towards changing the system ...in the end he lost even this in favour of everything staying the same

Sasuke's motives weren't understandable, in the sense that you used it, at all. It was never about trying to change the system so that another Itachi didn't occur, else it wouldn't have ever gotten to Sasuke trying to take over. Sasuke's only motivation was himself. He had no desire to honor Itachi. His actions were reminiscent of a little kid that's been given too much power. The funny thing is, when he tried to dog it out with the big boys (Kaguya, Madara), he got wrecked and made to look like garbage.
