Honestly, it wasn't a lie until the end. Again, he gave up and gave the title to the studio. He lost his passion a while back and perhaps lost it completely when his father passed away. I can't say I that I hate the man, but as a writer I don't like what he has done. It's not to say things in the best were amazing, but it could have been a reason for it if the end results the approach. I feel that the first editor knew what could work well to the series, but a lot of things changed when the new one stepped in and focus becomes very loose.

All in all, it made him look bad by the end and maybe he did keep the same passion and everything from the start, things would have been different. But that's something we may never know.

In the trailers we saw Naruto and the others flying on the back of the Sai's birds, and Hinata was with them, so I think this happens before the "killing NS relationship" scene

If that were Sakura she'd kneed him in the balls. She would take no kitten. But Toneri would probably put her in some genjutsu so she could behave. (8 but at the end, she would break from the genjutsu & kick his ass for making her a damsel in distress cause queen saku is no damsel in distress.

Yeah, as a writer myself, doing what Kishimoto-sensei did doesn't help anyone and in turn is gonna hurt the work you put out since it will be easily affects the story as well as hurting anyone who is involved with the process, be it assistants and things like that. No matter how bad it gets, you can't let depression, as bad as it is, get to you. Even if it's the passing of a parent, since it will just ruin your credibility as a writer.

Yeah. There were reasons why a lot of things didn't feel right at all, especially 615. I feel like he was fighting himself with NS and decided to stop after 663. It's more strange when the fact that chapter or rather before it was released after his father passed away. I don't think he has any passion left in him to do more to it. Even the art got strange as in feeling off. I feel like the fact it must end now is his way to get out of Naruto. The cooperate probably grant him but have to come back for the sequel that Kishi never have in mind. But on the other hand, it's a mini-series, so it won't last long; therefore, it's not as bad.

My point is I feel like he wanted the old way to happen instead, but don't have any passion to fight it anymore and just do it what the cooperate wants. Then popularity hits and money rises is all Kishi's mindset and the only thing that matters. Why else there was no explanation on anything, especially the reason why Zetsu army was made in the first place and all else. Reasons are no longer required. It is what it is is the name of the game.

I see, so I misunderstood the scene I though Naruto's closet was already in pieces. Now my hopes were down I though SP left them keep their friendship as friends not just  a relationship as co workers.
