I'm glad the NS community has tried to remain strong in the face of the horrors of The Last and everything, and all we have been doing here is having a good laugh or two because of how bad a lot of this is

It wouldn't if they ended it back in part 1 but suddenly revived in Kage Summit Arc. It made so much worse that the first target which is already declared bad and selfish is the winner. What is the point of it then?

I don't have an issue with love triangles...I find them kinda depressing, but they aren't the problem. It's how they are RESOLVED.

99% of the kittening time they resolve them by pairing EVERYONE UP. This is not necessary. its a cheap way out.

Yeah, totally ! Other fandoms aren't as ...noisy as us. 

If NH had some kind of development and then became canon, I won't lie, it would kill me but less than it did when the manga ended ... because I'd be prepared... because there would be some hints or whatever, NaruSaku would have some kind of closure waaayy before the end of the manga, where Naruto would say that he no longer loves Sakura, or...idk...whatever ! Or Naruto blushing while holding Hinata's hand... (and I would have stopped reading Naruto or maybe believing in NS...they gave some kind of "false hope" ) 

as you said it's a thing to have a personnal preference, but that doesn't mean you have to accept whatever they give to you in order to make that thing canon. If they wanted to make NH canon, as I said, there would be tons of other ways to do so...but they chose to worst and the least realistic one ! seriously, Naruto falling in love just because he saw how much she loved him in a genjutsu ? just like that ? the only thing that showed is that he pitied her, the sad and guilty look he had while being in the genjutsu tells everything ! 

If it was Sakura's, he would be smiling or blushing... y'know, acting the real Naruto...

 

False hope you say.. more like outright lie to me. there is nothing relatively false in NaruSaku. they just lie and make cheap justification of their personal whims that are totally unrelated to the story. Why they use such a cheap plot is a big question for me. If NaruHina was done right in the manga, i would have no qualms for it being canon, despite personal preference.. heck i even like that pair along with ss before.

 

and yeah, If Naruto saw Sakura's POV instead it'll be different. but more than smiling or blushing, if Naruto saw how much Sakura cares for him (coz he was never really aware or present whenever she shows her gentle smile and extreme feelings, or better yet he is always outright denying that Sakura is capable of loving him since he is soo into the belief that Sakura loves Sasuke).

He'd probably cry.. and be dumbfounded.

 

Hinata will always be the instant ramen, and Sakura will always be the homemade ramen cooked fully with love.

Love triangle isn't bad unless couple of things:

-The worst match is the winner (such as selfish, abusive, no chemistry, and nothing coming out of it)
-The decider goes with both as the decider still thinking who in the end.
-The decider decide both (works in VK...........)
-The least damage but lame one: one of them dies

Naruto got it working until Kage but I gave a benefit of the doubt and think he can't be this stupid. I was wrong.
