I belief that the anime is returning this September or October

Speaking of Rave, I'm honestly hoping that we get any news about an anime reboot of it in the future, given how Japan has been trending anime reboots or adaptations of older manga/LN series in the last couple of years.
Light and Shadow are the only static creations of this universe.

So last time we got some sketches on Hiro Mashima's New Series
Now we got a design of his female protagonist:
(According to Hiro, it's a version that's close to the decision draft)
She is pretty cute kind of got a mix of Ellie from Rave Master, Lucy and Carla from Fairy Tail. As far as possible fanservice goes fingers crossed it’s the same as it was from Rave Master Days or Early Fairy Tail before Grand Magic Games. No idea what her name is just yet, but i’m definitely curious about the role this character is going to have in the overall story.

Yup it is for the new series not the Fairy Tail sequel.
It's not the final design for the character, but Hiro has said that it's close the decision draft. Which makes sense given how his new series is coming out in about a month from now.

It's gonna be another Fantasy series right? Mashima expressed that he loves fantasy to the point he wants to exclusively write and draw fantasy series

I'm not that excited. Fairy Tail is one of the worst manga I've ever seen. It went downhill during the Edolas arc, and after that, pure kitten. Erza is somehow invincible "because she's Erza", Juvia's character was utterly ruined, too much fanservice, friendship power-ups, and I heard Mashima didn't even plan the ending. There are many more flaws, but this will be a whole essay if I list them all.
Hopefully he improves on Eden's Zero and depending on my mood, I may read it.

A boy that looks like a mix of Natsu and Grey..he is going to be named after the season of fall right? A girl that looks like lucy and that girl from rave master. An older windy...Ezra. Plue and Happy...shouldn't there be a new mascot pet for this series as well? A mask guy who might be a villain, and an evil looking scientist guy...though they might be good who knows. An a goddess that will grant people their powers...maybe?
Well, hopefully it will be as enjoyable as the last two.

But this ISN'T Fairy Tail, so give it a try and if you aren't interested then that fine, but at least try not to go in with a pre-notion before it is even released. Just my two cents, and you don't have to try it if you don't want, I'm just saying.

The 100 Year side-story is now live, have to say the new artist has done a good job imitating the old style, though the hair and comical facial expressions give it away. Not really much happened, we just reintroduced to everyone and the guild leader of the 100 year mission request. I did find the part with Natsu talking to Gildharts misleading somewhat. Gildharts failed the mission because he bumped into Acnologia, yet the talk seems to suggest it was the difficulty of the mission that was too much for him.

And this series is much more reminiscent of his work on Rave Master in terms of storytelling than Fairy Tail.

The poor bastard(don't get me wrong; I love Juvia and the Gruvia pairing, but Natsu doesn't have the tolerance or appreciation for that sort of thing).

So was this past story about Briar, Touka referred to a story from the anime or something I'm forgetting, or is it something new?
This weeks chapter does make me wonder why the mission actually exists, these five dragons don't seem to be hounding the locals, The locals don't even know of their existence, and may even worship them as gods. Wasn't it established with Igneel and the other Dragon Slayers parents, that not all Dragons are the enemy. So is the mission because they could be a threat in the future or were we not told certain parts of the Dragon's history yet?

No, it's an arc from the manga and it took place immediately after the second timeskip(when Natsu came back home from his year of training). Long Story short, Briar was the leader of a black magic cult known as Avatar that worshipped Zeref. Gray infiltrated the cult by pretending to be a member, which led to a brief altercation with Natsu (who wasn't aware of Gray's ploy). Eventually, they dismantle Avatar after defeating its god summon and apprehend most of its members.
