Yes more accurately Sakura ended up with a guy who never wanted her. That's not a good ending for a heroine.
Same with Naruto ending up with a girl he never wanted. Bad ending for a hero.

 

Well, Sasuke may have loved her deep inside, that's not changing anything. Sakura was into Naruto all along. Sasuke is not OOC in the end. Hinata neither. The characters that are OOC are Naruto and Sakura.

 

Sasuke was a blank page, so in the end you can write what you want on it. To me, it's very possible that Sakura's love has reached him in the end. Sakura's attitude is shocking me. Not Sasuke's. I totally expected Sasuke to be kind in the end. During all the story, Sasuke only needed friends and family, and never thought about romantic love. That, I'm sure. But it's possible that, despite his control, he fell in love with Sakura deep inside and tried to erase it with her when he tried to kill her or make her suffer. It's like what he explained to Naruto. He didn't want someone to have bond with him. So he pushed them away. This makes sense to me.

 

But the fact that Sakura forgot about Naruto in the end, and only ask to go with Sasuke, is horrendous. IMO, Sakura at that time, after all the developments, would never ask for something like that. She would yell at Sasuke, cry because he made them suffer, then smile happily with him and Naruto. If I remember well, they cry and smile a little in 698 chapter. The problem is, when Sasuke decide to leave and become a wanderer to pay his sins and crimes, what he is doing is very good. And what he is saying to Sakura too. The fact that his sins don't concern her, this is a good thing to say to her, it's a good apology. BUT that forehead touching is very wrong. VERY VERY wrong. That forehead touching is a family, brotherhood thing between Sasuke and Itachi, and that's all. This shouldn't be the ultimate demonstration of love from Sasuke to Sakura. It's stealing Naruto's forehead comment to Sakura in a very cheap way, because Sasuke doesn't really say anything about her forehead. It's also stealing the forehead brotherhood touching from Itachi. It's so wrong I can't even...

Sakura is appearing very weak in front of Sasuke in the end. That's why it's all OOC. The Sakura we know wouldn't react like that. The Sakura we know is totally into Naruto. She would have take Naruto in her arms, she would have cry because they lost their arms, she would have yell at Sasuke because it's his fault if Naruto has lost an arm. She would have yell at Sasuke because he almost kill Naruto and himself doing wrong. And she would never ask to go with him, leaving Konoha and Naruto at a time like this ! The real Sakura would have reacted like in Uniqlo OVA. In Uniqlo OVA she does not care about Sasuke. At all. Well there is a difference, because Naruto seems to be dead in Uniqlo OVA, but still, Sasuke was on the ground too, and she didn't care. She was just crying for Naruto. What is the point of this, if this is not a foreshadowing ??

 

Also, Kishimoto totally forgot that Sasuke was the type to push Sakura toward Naruto. Remember "this guy went through hell to save you" ?

That's why I'm angry at Kishimoto. Those things weren't just decoration. He gave some traits to his characters and then he took it away in the end. That's the mark of a bad writer. It's like someone else took the story away. Or it's really the editors that decide of everything... I don't know anymore... I'm just utterly hurt.

I think someone else said that about Sasuke actually. Can't remember who, though, since said member hasn't been around in a while. I disagree with it, though, since he apparently started writing his own story after talking with the Kages. But I digress...

Anyway, I remember a comment about Kishi wanting us to be thrilled. Well, does being thrilled of disappointment counts?

Finally, I have to wonder if this will go as a the greatest flop ever? With all the contradictions, inconsistencies and this aura of «something fishy» all over the fandom (sone NH fans excluded), SP, Kishi and everyone supporting these events are ruling on a castle with pillars of sand.

And look at sasuke parallel kakashi. He reject rin confession, because obito love her and he doesn't deserve her love after what he do to her. That what I expect.

The fact that kishi never show any feeling from sasuke to sakura in romantic tone make me believe that ss will not become canon.

But I'm wrong, sasuke is the true hero, main character, and protagonist.

To be fair, Sasuke did have focused character before Itachi died. Then, things got loopy. That's why people often don't understand his character, let alone his ending. Wanted revolution, only to stop because......series ending.

I just think Sasuke being the "ultimate tsundere" was a lame excuse. it would be better if he felt bad for what he did and actually paid for his crimes.

And no matter how you look at it he having romantic feelings for Sakura is a asspull since some chaps ago he didn't care if she was alive or dead
