The problem is that it's pretty hard to convince those people to actually read such a long series

I bet if my German teacher were to read this series she'd predict a NS ending too

I've always wanted to see what people who don't read the manga say, and i only found out about the shipping wars like a year ago.
I was pretty neutral on who I shipped until a year ago, but I always thought that NS was the only relationship in the manga, I even had no idea NH or SS existed.
That was my viewpoint when I was neutral, so there's that.
Naruto prbly won't go crazy like that if something happens to Sakura since he can control the Kyubbi now though, but we can bet that he would be a lot more angry if something happens to Sakura compared to what happened to Hinata.

I was wanted Naruto to get the girl and I figured it would be Sakura and I completly ignored Hinata although ss did scare me cause Sakura was all over sasuke.
But sasuke doesnt give two hoots so that didnt wrry me to much.
I really got into shipping wars after I watched the episode entitled "Sakura's tears", then I wanted to see how far Naruto was in Jap/manga and I started to read spoilers and I found out about Sakura's confession and I read how it was fake and she used him and how Naruto denied it....Then I really started to panic cause I thought it was a poor excuse for the writer to make it seem like Naruto was over Sakura.
But two months here and I realize that NS will happen.

Manga is better. Gives you pure canon, which is all that counts.

While I never felt like telling her that I support NaruSaku 100%, I gave her quite a rant how most of this is a bunch of crap. She draws great pictures on DA though, but sadly they're all SasuSaku and NaruHina

Most of it is just opinion, so it's not much to get hot under the collar over. The whole "Naruto is pretty hurt about what she did and doesn't care about how she feels about him anymore" is PURE speculation. In fact I'd tend to disagree entirely, considering how Naruto's last interaction with Sakura, as well as his mental picture of her after talking to his mom, were nothing but positive. And Sakura was never going to kill Karin, her plan all along was kill Sasuke after he let his guard down. I'm surprised some NH/SS fans still don't realize that.
As for the stuff about the Pein invasion, the circumstances were a little bit different for Sakura and Hinata. Hinata saw what was going on first, so of course she would act faster. I suppose Sakura had a Hyuuga clan member with her, but obviously having a message relayed doesn't have the same impact as seeing what's happening first-hand.
But your friend's right, Sakura's hug after the fight was because she was happy that he was safe. But the point is that she's giving him a very personal display of affection in front of the entire village. Aside from how something like that can be seen from a Japanese cultural perspective, Sakura's never really been the type of character to display her feelings for so openly, at least for Naruto. So the implication of the scene is pretty obvious.
Sorry if I'm coming across as harsh towards your friend. It's actually nice to have opposing viewpoints here to discuss every once in a while. Lately I've been feeling like the Debate Thread's gone stale.

One, she hasn't talk to me in a year and two it's more that I needed to get it off my back, I mean we all know they come up with this, but she refused to accept my views when I clearly told her that I understood and accepted hers. Plus I'm just getting sick of these fan wars, but I guess no matter how we look at this, it will still look like I'm trying to start something

Sakura may still love Sasuke and she seems to be sooo all obsessed with him. As stated numerous time, the relationship is one sided. I don't understand why Kishi keep this pattern, except for love triangle plot device (refer to carpenter Tazuna visit after Pain Arc). Sasuke tried to kill her twice. If they end up together, don't you think it's a bad message to send to the readers? It's like: do whatever to chase your 'love', including lying to your best friend. Don't stop, even if the person you 'love' tried to kill you, has never returned your feeling, always saying that you're weak, never shown any sign of support, and so on. Oh, and that boy that do the exact opposite things, just ignore him

"I'm sorry I didn't believe. But I'd given up believing in so much, until I met you. From the first day I saw you, you were everything I ever wanted to believe in. You can do this, Diana. I know you can...But I have to go."
"What? What are you saying?"
"It's okay, this is what I came here to do. I can save today, but you... you can save the world."

I think one of the reasons why the Debate Thread has gone stale because there hasn't been any scenes/moments in like 40-some chapters that might trigger a debate, except for that Sakura thinking about Sasuke but that's because he used to be one of them (shinobi for Konoha) and she hates what he has become and wants him to either die or be saved, but since the latter can't happen for the moment, the former is more of a possibilty.

1. Hahahahah, I wonder if that would cause the NH shippers to go on a frenzy and throw their laptops and tvs out of windows in a blaze of anger.
2. That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard and if that actually happens in real life, holy kitten. (I know you don't actually mean that but still.)

Have you talked to her recently maybe you guys could get this pairing war behind you.

I might be able to, but even when we disscussed it on deviantART we kinda just let it slide, but as I stated I was just showing what a NaruHina fans views were on the many event that happen in the manga. She even stated later in the conversation/rant/arguement to just agree to disagree which while she never support my views, she didn't disagree with them. But trust me, I'm not telling anyone on here who she is nor have I put her name in the rant, I just find some of the things she's stated a little unbelievable

Its funny their are so many ways to look at this like for example
in Naruto's world the hug from Sakura wouldnt have been that big of a deal
but in our world (which is just kishi in this case) u have to ask your self y would kishi make such a touching scene, I mean look at it for god sake, its so much more then just your average hug.
<========
btw whats our stance on chapter 540? Is it that Sakura thought of sasuke in a negative manner?

^^ Yes, that is our stance, as for the and I quote "oh Hinata likes me, and she doesnt seem that bad" if he could have react to it, he could have done that like 50 chapters ago, or thought about that during Sakura's confession or something that might tip the scales on NH's favors. However, it feels like its been tipped in our scale since this whole thing started. Our pairing is the frontrunner of being canon. Naruhina is just in the friend stage, where one side barley acknowledges the other, other than "oh she's nice and is a good person and all but that's it." Now, while our pairing is still in the friends, but could be more, stage, we have the advantage to the fact that there's a very good amount of building, developments, and comparisons. Now, does the oppositition have something like either those three that is just as powerful as ours?
Btw, I hope in the next chapter, there could be something, about the pairings war, we could talking about, I don't want to keep going on and on on the same thing every time.

At best, I consider NaruHina a borderline crack pairing, simply because I only see minor one-sided moments that occur once, at most, every 100 chapters or so. The development just isn't there, and neither are the parallels. If I could list all the parallels between Minato and Kushina and Naruto and Sakura, I'd be here for quite awhile- but I think we all know those parallels pretty well. On top of that, I consider Naruto and Hinata's relationship to be one of acquaintances at best- yes, they are both shinobi of Konoha and are therefore each other's comrades, but they really don't seem to have that solid "friendship" foundation. But maybe that's just my viewpoint on the matter.
Anywho, I hope we get a chappy with an epically epic NaruSaku moment soon- I'm dying here
