Well, you konw what youre getting into, but its still hilarious. I wish Madea would have gotten even more screen time, but the subplot of the film was touching, and i digged it. The Jail scenes were win.

I gotta say, now that I'm older and can understand the jokes better, I found it hilarious.
Never got it when I was 10 years old.

Yet another one of Tyler Perry's playwrites turned into a movie, and I still enjoyed it. Although I favor the play rather than the actual movie... I was happy to watch it! Can't help but wish that Madea had gotten more screentime and I was left wondering what would cause her to be sent to prison (the appearance of a certain judge had me giggling) but the backstory was wonderful and especially sweet. This is a first where none of the 'backstory' characters are related to Madea and yet they still met along the way... and of course, you've gotta love Mr. Brown! XDD
(for an added bonus, I loved Candance's friend Donna <3)

I was able to get in to see this movie early and I must say I was quite impressed. "300" Director Zack Snyder managed to fit the meat of the story into just under 3 hours without sacrificing much. However I do have a few gripes that prevent me from scoring this perfect:
-A few key parts from the graphic novel don't make the studio cut, especially:
-Billy Cruddup (Jon Osterman/Dr. Manhattan), Jackie Earle Haley (Walter Kovacs/Rorschach), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Eddie Blake/The Comedian) and Patrick Wilson (Dan Dreidburg/Nite Owl II) are great but Matthew Goode sucks as Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias. Don't get me started on Malin Akerman (Laurie Juspeczyk/Silk Spectre II) either.
-They changed the name of the group from "Crimebusters" to "Watchmen", guess they think their audience is stupid or something.
-The ending didn't have as much an impact as the original one from the graphic novel does.
-And just the fact that The Dark Knight raised the bar for Comic Book/Superhero movies so much that this is kind of a disappointment.
Other than all that however this is a great film and as a long time fan of the graphic novel I do feel somewhat satisfied, I just hope the movie does well so I can see Zack Snyder's 3 and 1/2 hour cut in theaters.

Good movie, but I gotta see the Director's Cut as it felt a little incomplete. (Even at it's 160 min. length)
Jackie Earle Haley was really good. Rorsarch's mask is cool and all... but man his best scenes were when he had his "face" off.

Agreeing with most of the posts above but what I agree about the most is what Ed said about the Dark knight.
Before the dark knight, a great comic book movie for me was a movie that was faithful to the source matrial, but after the dark knight which proved to be good on it's own right instead of the source metrial and actully enriched the batman universe instead of just copying it, Watchman is just a copy. A nice copy but nothing att all, it didn't add up anything we didn't know from the comic.

Though only 72 minutes long this has to be by far the best straight to DVD animated movie DC has put out so far (the others being Superman Doomsday and Justice League The New Frontier). The animation is great, it has great music and the vocal performances from Nathon Fillion (Captain Mal from Firefly), Alfred Molina (a bunch of roles but most notably Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2) and especially Kerri Russel (Felicty) as Wonder Woman among a quagmire of other actors are excellent. Not to mention the fact the scipt was co-written by Gail Simone, the critically acclaimed writer who is currently in charge of stories in the Wonder Woman comic book. This movie is freaking awesome, I hope a live action Wonder Woman will be on the way soon and I can't wait to see the next straight to DVD DC animated film based upon Green Lantern.

Good Special Effect, Story and action but its quite a let down to those who are familiar with the game.

if your a fan of the graphic novel then you'll probably love it, if not, it may be tougher to pay attention. but i really liked it so im satisfied. The Fight in the beginning with Nat King Cole playing in the background was my favorite part.

I'm gonna try to keep my composure while reviewing this movie....I'll try anyway. I saw this movie for the lulz (plus I got a free ticket to see it with Street Fighter IV) and I must say this isn't as bad as the Van Damme movie....its worse. At least in that movie they actually had actors that looked like the characters they are portraying, and the costumes to boot but this movie....almost everyone is in casual/business wear! The only character who actually dresses like their video game counterpart is Vega....and he's played by the white guy from The Black Eyed Peas! Also....Chun-Li is a chef? M. Bison is the leader of an evil corporation, not only that but he's blonde?!
*Rage bubbles over and I go off on a rant that I can't post here due to all the explatives*
Bottom line: Don't see this movie.

lol wan't planning on it. Thanks for taking one for the team.
Jumper - 6/10 it was pretty cool, but if they had added about an extra hour for more content and better ending fight, would've been better.
-edit-
Sukiyaki Western Django- 10/10 This movie was so much fail, it a win. an hour and a half of engrish goodness and Quentin Tarentino randomness. The premise behind the plot is nothing new. If you have seen either Akira Kurosawa films or spaghetti westerns, then you know the plot. have fun

I know we have all noticed a burst of comic books getting a movie adaption the last decade, but most of them has more super powers than they know what to do with, or enough cash to emulate it. Frank Castle has neither, but he has a kittenload of weapons and a mind set to rid the city of it's bad apples.
I loved Thomas Jane's version of the Punisher. The movie introduced Frank in a pretty good way, and mr Jane got to kill off a bunch of mafia bastards... gotta love that, right? That movie was actually my introduction to the Punisher, but I've been checking out alot of comic books after I first saw him finish off John Travolta in one of my favourite movie kills ever. I thought the movie was pretty brutal, but was it brutal enough?
It appears not. War Zone has no light side to Frank Castle's life. He doesn't start out happy with his family, but rather with his guns blazing and killing off an entire family of mafia in their own home. Was it brutal? Oh yes!
The plot here starts when one of the mafia from Frank's spree got away, and Frank decided to finish what he started. He follows him to his hide out, where he once again kills a bunch of mafia guys. Sadly, he also puts a bullet in an under covered FBI agent, which to Frank (from the comics anyway) would make him as bad as the mafia he's hunting. He wants to end his punishing carreer, but he failed to kill the mafia that got away in the first place... again. Only this time, he shredded the bastard's face, turning him into the villain known as Jigsaw.
My problem with this movie is the plot. To be honest, the actors were generally pretty damn horrible. In fact, the only good part here was Frank himself, as he was completely badass. The family of the agent he killed (wife and daughter) starts out hating him, but over a span of a couple of days, kitten hits the fan and... well, I won't spoil it for you. Anyway, let's just say that it was incredibly rushed, and leave it at that (I bet some of you can read underneath the underneath already).
If you want a movie faithful to a comic book you like, you could do alot worse than this movie (you could watch Dolph Lundgren's horrible travesty instead). The movie is full of gory kills, like when Frank puts his fist THROUGH a guy's head, or one insane villain ripped out a poor guy's intestines and ate them. Well, let's just say you should watch this if you want brainless killing... it's not a movie you'd watch with your girlfriend on a saturday evening!

And Whirly: Did you lol when that one guy threw his cross through that one guy's chest? I know I did! XD
Although... I watched the movie at the Roskilde Festival last year, so I didn't catch everything. Funny movie though!!

As much as why I bought this movie, it wasn't that bad. Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning obviously did the best performance. Alicia Keys (as much as I love the singer) was so damn stubborn, as she was playing June in character. I feel so sorry for May (Sophie Okenado), having to kill herself near the end... this is one sad 1960s Southern movie. (But hey, I see One Tree Hill's Payton and 90210's Tristan Wilds in the movie)
What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!

I did. WTF was up with Quentin Tarentio saying he was an anime otaku?
Body of Lies- 6/10
-sigh- Honestly this wasn't a bad movie, but the end petered out in such a half assed way.
