So it seems that the giant black vortex sucking in Capone had nothing to do with Blackbeard, and the Supernova that he beat was Bonney.

This irks me. Of all the Supernova that could get beat, it was the one woman. Not only was she beaten, she was tied up in a humiliating, sexual manner. Blackbeard even tried to force her into being his woman. That was sick.

The parts with Sanji and Chopper, on the other hand, were awesome.

Chopper can't lie nearly as well as Usopp, but his superhero suit was adorable. I like that he's found a way to get stronger, like we all thought. And from the way he talked about not caring if he turned into a monster to help Luffy, it sounds like he's going to try and control his giant monster form. Which should be awesome.

Sanji doesn't get any respect, any respect at all. The idea of super food intrigues me, though. As does his quest for the holy grail of food stuffs. And fighting all of the best Newkama kenpo users on the island should make him a hell of a lot stronger. Iva-chan was the only person during the entirety of the Impel Down arc to actually damage Magellan, after all. That's some badass kungfu. >:)

Your right, that was sick of Blackbeard, probably strengthens the idea of him and his crew being the "final bosses" for the Strawhat Pirates of the one piece series. Doesn't Blackbeard already have ten members for his crew or does that horse Stronger not really count as one crew member assuming that it doesn't have any special powers of some kind and also that it's only use is to support Doc Q in getting around and nothing more or nothing less?


The chapter was good, looking forward to next weeks chapter.

I'm not sure how Brook is going to get stronger by playing the guitar... Also, where did he get it from? ... I'm looking way too hard into the story of an undead talking skeleton.

I'm thinking we might get a small timeskip soon, Oda's pretty much telling us that the gang is going to be doing some intensive training, So the 16 bells probably meant eight for an end of an era and eight for the beginning of a new ear where they'll meet in a years stronger than ever before.

I'm still itching to read the gang get back together again, they've been apart for too long in my opinion, but it's good to see Oda showing us how the gang is getting stronger, and not just random power-ups like some of the other mangas.

Bloody hell, I was thinking time skip within the Manga not a Timeskip in real life Doh....Oh Well I guess Oda needs a break to recharge and plan for the post timeskip meeting and work out the power-ups everyone will be getting, enemies etc....let's just hope in the timeskip we don't see Robin falling in love with Dragon and getting married, It would be too wierd if she ended up as Luffy Stepmother...lol

Wonder if this means we have now officially reached half way point of the Manga? This might be one of the few Mangas that you can start reading when you are a teenager and finish when you yourself have teenagers...lol

I wonder what they'll do with the anime now that the manga has all these breaks. It would be hard to explain a longer filler arc at the moment, although the One Piece anime fillers are generally pretty good.

Confirmed skip of two years! Holy crap, I never thought I'd see the day One Piece had a time skip!

The 4 week break in real life is probably so Oda-sensei can figure out what he wants all of the Straw Hats to learn.

Man, Zoro is awesome. He's willing to do anything to get stronger, even begging Mihawk for training!

damn. its gonna be hard waiting for a month for my OP fix but it will be more than worth it.


this is not only the first time skip in OP but the first training arc for the crew. where as bleach and naruto have many arcs where ichigo and naruto spent a few chapters training, this is the first time the crew are actively training. and with good reason. the new world as we've seen is hella scary.


plus, the timeskip gives the OP world time to settle. right now, its in a state of flux. its changing all around them.

Not True Naruto learnt...um...Odama Rasengan, that was a super cool move that is completely original and nothing like the normal Rasengan...also learnt that Jutsu, that is a super duper ultra powerful move that requires full control of Kyuubi to do...maybe, oh he also had his seal weakened...yet in less than six months since he's been back he's only learnt, Element manipulation, RasenShurikan, Sage Mode, and gained full control of the Kyuubi, so see he learnt loads when away...lol

I think we have a good idea what everyone is going to learn in the two years, Luffy is going to learn all three Haki types, so his normal moves will be greatly increased laced in Haki, Probably Similar with Sanji they'll learn the two more common Haki types, though I think Zoro might possess the kings disposition as well only not as powerful as Luffys....I'm only not sure what Robin and Brook will learn.

So do you think when the Manga continues in two weeks we'll go straight to timeskip or are we going to see some training do you think.

It's just a shame this means we'll get atleast a month of fillers to make up for the four weeks off, maybe we'll see a Luffy and Ace adventure filler arc for when they were kids?

Hey guys, I started rereading OP again. I dropped the manga halfway around Water Seven arc just because I couldn't read them at bookstores anymore. Now, I've just finished rereading it although I skipped some parts.

So, I have a few questions:

I've heard that Zoans can enter a Demon Beast state. I heard it was mentioned during Impel Down, but I can't seem to find it. So can anyone link me?
I remembered that Nami was the only one who Luffy told about his past with Shanks to. But I can't seem to remember which chapter it was. Link please??
I also heard Skypiea had peace as one it's major theme. Can anyone link me to the chapters when that topic was brought up?

Also I heard Oda has no intention of adding romance in its subplot (except for gags Ex: Sanji & Hancock) but something bugs me......

If Oda wanted to strengthen Luffy's helplessness in his inability to protect the Strawhats why would he choose Nami?? why not all of them, one by one. Does it mean Luffy holds Nami in higher regards compared to the rest of his crews (subconsciously) Not only that, if the part about Luffy telling Nami about his past with Shanks & she's the only one who knows about it is true, wouldn't that mean Luffy holds Nami in a much higher regard to compared to the rest of his crew (subconsciously) his past with Shanks is something pretty personal. I don't think he would open up about something like that. And if he trusted his crew, wouldn't we have the entire crew know about it in passing??

And after thinking about it, and I'm not gonna hold my breath but maybe just maybe Oda will add some character development for Nami & Luffy after the timeskip. Luffy should grow up during the post-timeskip and realize that there will always be someone else like Ace to be there for him. Of course, being the naive idiot he is, Dragon should give him a whack across his head to help him get out of that naiveness to get him realize that if he has someone else that he cherishes as much as he cherished Ace, he will gain tremendous power like he's never seen before. I'm sure he knows that kind of feeling.

But meh, Oda's not Kishi so I'm not gonna waste my breath.

The same reason that Chopper is important because he's the doctor, or Sanji is important because he's the chef.
