Well, Sakura still has her seal, so she in the end may save Obito by somehow transferring it to him.  She must still have it for a reason.  Also, I don't want to think the panels the last couple of chapters where she worried about him were for nothing.  Also, it's obvious Obito is trying to commit suicide, and that's not a good thing.  The chapter ends with him being penetrated, and his body starting to crack.  It would be more believable if he died right there, instead of waiting for next chapter.  Many characters went through similar situations (Naruto, Sasuke, Gai) of looking like they'll die, but ended up being saved in someway.  Obito hasn't been any different throughout his Heel-face turn. 

 

Since we saw what looks like Rin's apparition, does this mean we'll see others?  Maybe Kushina ?

People expect sakura will over with sasuke, it shocking them that kishi make a color cover with sakura ride with sasuke and blush. Kind of like sakura confession in land of iron.

Well, that's typical Kishimoto. Writers always have a lot of critics but it doesn't mean they suddenly change their styles to please the critics. If you like what the writer has given to you as a story, you must be ready to accept the flaws you know they have as a writer. Complaining only makes the reader feel disappointed and less likely to enjoy the story, but it isn't going to affect the writer.

Relax everyone, all is well. Keep in mind Team 7 has been reunited so it isn't surprising that Sasuke is now featured in team cover photos with Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi. This time around he just happens to have Sakura riding along.

 

My guess is that the cover correlates to what happened in the previous chapter. Naruto looks like he's already engaged in a gun fight, both guns are facing forward. Kakashi is at the back of the pack watching and Sasuke looks like he has just drawn his gun.

 

Compare that to what's actually happening in the manga, Naruto is already engaged in combat and is fighting, Kakashi is at the back watching and Sasuke has just arrived with Sakura in tow.

 

Maybe I'm looking too much into this, but that's what I see.

 

I think NS is doing just fine right now. Sakura isn't fangirling, or having Sasuke flashbacks, she's right back in the action and engaged with what's going on around her.

No even then when he flat out says Sakura moved on from him after 675 you know it was a lie

I mean sure he treated her like kitten since they were kids, sure he yried murdering her several times, sure she knows nothing about him and hasnt even seen him years, sure Naruto has been encouraging her and caring about her than anyone else in the series, but all that doesnt matter because Sasuke-kun is just so cool

And the moral of the story is love is irrelevant as long as the guy is cool

Jeez Sasuke is his favorite....what more can you expect!

Well with the SasuSaku moment last week and now this picture of Sakura and Sasuke togheter and blushing... Even tho i dont want to admit it and it makes me sad, I think that NaruSaku is pretty much done at this point... Well the odds are surely not in our favor anymore !

I think I do too, especially from that above comment from Kakashi-Sensei.

 

That chapter was riding on the coattails of Sakura's momentum from the previous chapter. Minato confirms the parallel between his wife and Naruto's beloved healer, Hinata is thrown to the wayside as Naruto casually remarks about Sakura being his girlfriend, and then you have hype that Sakura made for herself at the end about a new power up.

Everything was at an all time high then. Now? Well this chapter has left things in a very ambiguous position in fans' eyes. Their optimism isn't high, it hasn't recovered completely from the last chapter, and Kishi continues to preview more suggestive images in order to entice the readers.

While I personally don't see anything too significant happening with that scene (at best it serves as a red herring), you're going to find many people who wished that that scene had never been put into the manga for one reason or another.

 

My thoughts on this situation as well...

 

This sort of tense atmosphere in this website is new to me  Quite frankly I never expected a Coverpage ,of all things, would cause so much unsettling.

Tumblr, I have reason to believe the second is fanart. It mentions "Sakura's gloves" and "short hair" in English, the anatomy looks a bit off, etc.

that was not what i am trying to say..if kishi makes sasuke fall in love with somebody this late in the manga,when we're nearring towards the end,then it will be with a reasoning..its prety damn hard for sasuke to fall in love with a girl,so if he actualy falls for someone for real,he will be even more difficult for him to fall out of love..he 's an uchiha and we were told when uchihas love somebody ,their love is very intense..and considering sasuke is kishi's favourite its almost certain he will get what he wants

and regarding sakura ,i dont have 0 faith,but i dont have 100 % faith either...im not a sakura fan to begin with..i dont hate her or anything,but shes testing my patience

You misread the manga. That whole Uchiha-emotions lecture was not about his undying love for Sakura. It was about how the sharingan was triggered by emotions - which happened in the context of Sasuke saving Naruto.

 

If you're not a Sakura fan, then why do you ship narusaku? Or are you only concerned with Naruto's feelings?

 

Did you forget that the entire Obito/ Madara/ Kaguya battle happened in the span of a day or two? Do you except Sakura to just declare her love for Naruto right here right now, in the middle of the most important battle of their lives? You do realize Sakura actually didn't even bat an eye to Sasuke in this chapter right?

Are you even serious!!!!! I don't know whether you are new or anything but this was just plain ridiculous! I have never lost faith in my pairing or even Sakura as a character. Even if NS doesn't happen, I'd still stick with it and ship it forever and as for Sakura....whoever she chooses, she'd still be my favourite!!!! Haven't you ever read my posts related to her and NS? If not, then its not your fault though. I haven't even uttered a single word against Sakura or NS!!!

Why don't people get it! The ones who are complaining, are complaining about the execution and not the pairing or the character!!!!! One word against execution and people start thinking we are losing faith in the ship and characters! For god's sake! No way in hell it is like this!!!!! We are just expressing about disappointment regarding certain things and @Chatte perfectly explained what that is!!! Jeez...really!

. finally . as i expected the atmosphere here is discouraging .   it was a half good chapter to me... the cover was annoying at the start but i think kishi telling us that sakuras feeling for sasuke will be resolved in  this arc.and about her blushing .that would have made me worry . if sakura did it in the chapter as we were afraid that she would be back to her fan girl mode. but she didnt . and to me thats mean kishi knows what he is doing .  one more thing cant the cover be like the naruhina cover  after their (moment)?  specially when 616 and 686 had the same thing. so the cover is like a satisfaction cover.?

 

 

good to see the hokages again. oooh obito i ll  miss u . . i hope sasuke learns from him how to care and (thank) his friends.. . naruto is just being him (weirdly smart) i liked that and him  thanking sakura and obito  no matter what . he is trying to show to sasuke how easy it is to thank a person directly   .. . and i hope kaguya has some power left . cause until now . madara still stronger than her. .

 

 

.i know kishi is doing the ss moment and the cover page . and all the anti NS moments ,. cause he know he can make it up later . i mean he can delete all of this tension for us . when show us sakura is over sasuke , and a big NS moment .thats all it take to erase the ss nh moments . like most of fans erased the momnets /development of narusaku . with a cover page .

in my mind you're a true sakura fan if you will still love he no matter what regardless of her love choices..in my case ,i will dislike her very much if she does stupid choices ,so i cant call myself a sakura fan

I really do have problems with how kishi potrayed her in the cover like as if all of her developement never happened. With the sakura whho is potrayed in the cover I have to admit that sakura might accept sasuke's apologizes once he comes back to konoha due to his horrible past, like naruto did and keep on really loving him. Though that would be awful writing.

 

Think of it as difference of what each relationship would be like.  From this week's chapter cover, if Sakura were to be with Sasuke she would be a  cowgirl, in essence damsel in distress.  From chapter 679's color cover, Sakura is a fighter that stands with Naruto as equals.  Honestly, this isn't anything new.  We all knew a long time ago that if Sakura were to be with Sasuke she would have to hold in her personality and be submissive, but with Naruto she can be herself.

Obito is about to die, when Naruto comes up to him and heals him once again.
He slowly opens his eyes, and says, "Rin?"
Then he sees Narutos face...
"Can't you just let me go get laid !!!??!"
Then he stabs himself again.

Something else I've noticed people talking about is how close the manga is to ending, as if it only has a short amount of time left. I thought I read that the manga will go past 2014, until at least possibly mid 2015. From the way I see it, this manga still has a lot of ground to cover and I don't see it wrapping all the loose ends up any time soon.
