Okay so my two cents.

- Team 7, Team 8, and Team 10 tag team. Good show. It's nice to see everyone doing something other than just standing there. Team Ten's giant yo-yo ball attack? I loved it. It's so different and actually shows that Kishi can still create humerous things. I laughed at the attack and such, but I love how it can be underestimated. I also agree with Slextrem who I think Team 8 is not really working as a team. They kind of do their own thing. It's cool that team 10 is just as coordinated as Team 7.

 

- Shino at least got a chance to be badass....and it is scary. I don't want to be his enemy.
  Kiba is doing his Cerberus trick which looks cool. These guys are still not as powerful as Team 7, but at least they are holding their own
  Hinata....I'll get to her later.

- Poor Sai. I do like his character and it is sad that he got knocked out with one hit. Sai seems to be used for a lot of set-ups? He was a set-up to Sakura's confession, a set-up to the reuninion with Sasuke, and now he is the set-up to this. Like others would have been nice to see hims stretch his stuff, but he got owned. Too bad.

- Sakura can summon slugs...I don't want to hear anyone make fun of Sakura ever again. I agree that Hinata will never be able to beat Sakura in terms of strength. There is just no way. Sakura has the power at Hokage level (Seeing as she is as powerful if not more than Tsunade who is Hokage.) Team 7 is indeed the most powerful team out of the who group. Slug Sage mode? One step closer to making it a possibility. I do have to agree that her having Slug summon is a bit summon and would be nice if there was a hint story wise. I know we have covers and such, but I think people wanted a story depiction of her either getting it or using it in prior battles or something. It is not quite an asspull as it is quite possible for her to have this and get it off-panel, but I think the fact that it was so sudden is what people find fault with. At least it is not like Sasuke where you have no clue where he got it and seems to just make up powers as he goes. (I don't know where Sasuke got the Hawk summon)

- Return of the three Sannin. Okay, who thinks that now that Sakura has these huge power-ups she can compete with Sasuke? I actually foresee the return of the big three Sannin fight. Remember the one with tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru in part 1? Yeah, imagine that with Team 7. Parallel again? This is gonna be good. I am wondering I Orochimaru is going to have nostalgia. "Heh, reminds me of my old team." I wouldn't put it past him. I don;t know why he wanted to destroy Konoha, but he still kind of respected his teammates and saw them as friends. So, I'll leave it at that.

- Hinata.....erm. Okay, I love the fact that she is finally getting some "umphf" and now she is not just watching behind the sidelines anymore. I am glad she mastered the 64 palms or whatever. I AM a little concerned that she still fangirls Naruto, however I am not upset by this because by this time I am expecting it. She will never be anything more than pairing fodder I am afraid and all she will ever think about is Naruto. No, NH moment here as it is still just Hinata reminiscing and we have Naruto who once again confirms he loves Sakura. So I am not threatened pairing wise. I am sad though because I want more for Hinata, but she will never be anything more all because of her Naruto limitations. Funny that the one thing that gives her strength is also the one thing that holds her back in a lot of ways. I guess, I just wanted her not to be a Naruto fangirl the entire time, but I guess this is unavoidable. So yeah, that's my take. I know some here hate Hinata and are sick of her and that is fine, but for me it is a different story than just pairing wars.

BTW, many NH fans said that Sakura was gonna fangirl Sasuke, but it was Hinata fangirling Naruto this whole time. Go figure.

- Sasuke is getting intimidated by Naruto? haHAH, eat it, Sasuke. Also this is why I think the mangapanda translation is better in chapter 632 because you notice Sasuke never even commented on Sakura's new power. He did comment on Naruto's power. So it seems even with Sakura there, he still doesn't notice her. This is gonna get interesting.

Also, is it me or does anyone find team 7's teamwork a bit....weird. Nothing for nothing, but Sasuke seems to fall in tune with Sakura and Naruto rather quickly despite being away from them for over what? 3 years? You'd think a mistake would happen or something. Instead, they are fighting together like they did this before. I guess I find it a little odd.

So that's my take.

Bolded 2: That's true. At least Naruto commented it with using his relationship with her that is. Lol. But yeah, I can't wait Naruto goes BM because he's going to be like freaking pissed inside and you know this is coming.

 

Bolded 3: Not really. It's more like mega power doing the work. It's like putting two wrestlers that are only made as a single division into a team, it's just the power doing the work. Team 10 is the definition of tag team division and I am highly impressed of them. Anyway, well you got to remember. They only did this: Naruto and Sasuke attacked mini Juubi until Sakura stepped in and wham. And then summon, then that's it. Yeah, it's not like they did a lot. In fact, it seems like the summon will do the work now. So yeah.

It's ok, don't sweat it. Too bad we only got to see Gamakichi as a kid, it would've been nice to also see that little slug and snake, but I guess there was just no way to place them in the story until know.

 

Now that they've grown up all 3 summons can make their proper battle debut.

I don't think they've (team 7) ever truly fought together like this. I don't remember a time they were more in sync as they are right now. It does seem a little strange. It's like the team work they never really got down since the bell test. At least, not all three fighting together.

I assume you're referring to Kiba's successive use of techniques that resemble Naruto's. Well regardless of their differing fighting styles they do have in common several qualities such as their reliance on overwhelming taijutsu force and enthusiastically headstrong personalities as well as having an explicitly blunt tone in their communication with others. If anyone from the rookie 9 resembles Naruto the most it would be Kiba. It isn't as if his technique was an exact replica as the setup and process for how damage is inflicted remains unique to his fighting style. His usage of a clone during the process does appear to be an act of paying homage to Naruto's fighting style though.

It's funny to think that it's only now that Hinata has finally reached Part 1 Neji level of ability. Not trying to take away from her moment, I actually enjoyed seeing her finally about to use what previously was Neji's signature move. In a way I think Kishi is making Hinata give homage to Neji by mastering the 64 palms.

 

One could argue that Hinata is better than Part 1 Neji since she has her lion fists, but you have to remember that Neji also utilized the Kaiten, which Hinata never seemed to learn.

 

You know, it would be funny if all of the current summonings are truly children of the originals. We know Gamakichi is son of Gamabunta, but let's see what the next chapter reveals about the new slug and snake.

 

I also like the possibility of Gamakichi once again implying that Naruto and Sakura are tied by the red string of fate. But seriously, I've heard of growth spurts but Gamakichi really takes it to the next level.

 

But what is the Lion Fists? All we've seen her do it make Giant fists that look like Lions and then get K'O'ed...What does it actually do? The anime showed it being super strong but it was just all filler, where in the Manga I can't remember much behond it giving a physical appearence of Lions, I just thought it would be like a big boxing gloves or something, where instead of the precise attacks of the gentle fist it's like a chakra enhanced punch.

Actually this chapter. At first, I thought anime and video games probably made it up on the effect. I mean they pretty much say that it's a awakening mode style, so it's not really a jutsu, but an enhancement. That said this chapter confirms it. She managed to do 64 palms because she got to step forward which she did and that's what she got from 615. Always going forward. Plus, she didn't do anything to Pain because she got KO before it even connect.

My thoughts:

 

- I like that the Rookie 9 got power-ups this chapter. Happy to see that Shino got some screen time with his (creepy) ability and that InoShikaCho is as strong as ever. Also thought Kiba's shadow clone thing was a bit odd but I enjoyed the comedy in it. Now, for Hinata...

 

- A lot of people outside this forum are praising her moment, calling it "the best of the chapter", etc. I am happy that she finally mastered the 64 palm technique (Neji's used it since the chunin exams, people), but the way she went about it was just.... Can she do nothing but think of Naruto? I want her to step up and fight for HERSELF. Not for Naruto, not thinking about Naruto's big hands, nothing to do with Naruto. Just her, and preferably the Hyuuga Clan as well.....At least she thought of Neji for half a panel.

 

- Sai....*sigh*  That was just sad. And then he got up and asked Naruto for more Kyuubi chakra! He's got balls for doing that haha

 

- By far my favorite moment of the chapter was the ending. That panel where they all bit their fingers I was like       It was damn sexy. That last panel was beautiful as well. Super proud of Sakura right now! I don't care what the haters say because, as always, haters gonna hate. No matter what. Even if Sakura goes sage mode, they will still hate. Looking forward to some Team 7 action next week! It's the new generation of Sannin!!

Also, I've noticed a number of people outside this forum claim that Sakura essentially killed Tsunade and the other Kages by summoning the slug, whom they think is Katsuyu. What do you guys think? For me, I think it's Katsuyu's offspring, like how Naruto summons Gamakichi, the son of Gamabunta.

Isn't it funny how Sakura keeps getting the power boosts and others make fun of her?

 

I find it funny that the other power ups still pale in comparison, so Kiba has a Cerberus mode now, Shino can make giant bugs, Hinata now just learns the 64 palms, if Hinata was really really good she should be at 128 by now. Oh wait, couldn't she just use her air palm to stop the jubbi clone, I mean she deflected the main ones hand with her own real power not Kurama's chakra.

 

We know what team 7 can do, no need. But Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji made a freaking human yo-yo. Thats the most badass technique you can ever use. I'm sorry team 7, as much as I would want to see their ultimate team jutsu (some rasenshurkien-tailed beast bomb that carries the fires of amaterasu or sussano but its perfectly focused and built) the human yo-yo is just effective, creative, and worth using.

 

So we know Naruto is not at full power yet, Sakura has only shown a summoning and nothing new with her yin seal, and Sasuke is the only one at full power. So we are waiting for Naruto to build more power and just waiting to see if Sakura unleashes anything else with her seal.

 

I really don't know how to say it but perhaps everyone on team 7 has become OP, save Sai. Oh sai, maybe kishi could give you a new paintset with better quality ink to give you more power, or just paint a very mean looking creature.

 

The new stuff thats come forward, team 7 is making it more exciting. Just really happy that even with the recent chapters and Sakura's growth, NS just has so much more possibility still. The new abilities really make things entertaining, we just want to see what team 7 does. Its confirmed at the end of this chapter and the start for next chapter that these summons will make team 7 10x more badass.

 

This chapter was everyone else and some statement or improvement but team 7 just summons and steals the show. Kinda like hulk in the avengers movie, the action was slow at a point, then he came in and took care of everything for the most part. Team 7 is like the hulk from the recent movie. Thats good though cause the story is about team 7.

 

Not concerned with the Hinata stuff, it was just internal, nothing occurred this time pairing wise which is nice, I want to see more action. The parallel is still in action, Sakura=Kushina still more important than that Sasuke issue last week some people put out and this one with Hinata internally is even less important. I feel that the narupedia entry on this chapter for hinata, how she is only advocating moving forward in her skills, I feel that is what the scene is refering too, the narupeida entry called it Neji's instruction and Naruto's determination gave her the confidence to finally complete the 64 palms. So if anything, its just gone back to her gaining the ability to lead her clan. Guess the hand holding was all for confidence now rather than romance? Guess this scene just falls back to Hinata gaining more confidence in her power (again with something from Naruto indirectly this time and Neji) and vowing to stand by him as a friend. The whole line "i've always been by your side" again, just referring to the current battle, not the whole series. Naruto has another lady at his side right now and its more important for that lady to stand by him in this situation.
Not to mention she was at his back and read him clearly a couple weeks ago.

 

Still nothing changes the Sakura=Kushina events, that still has importance over the small things like 615 and even Hinata remembering it as some may think it speaks canon. Well naruto has not thought of that moment and 615 was just again, a moment, they pass. Sakura=Kushina is a foreshadowing element, and because we first had clues from Kushina in 2011 about what could come, well it did and now its in the back again until its ready to come forward again (forehead compliment or Sakura realizing it was Naruto disused as Sasuke that day?) Foreshadowing elements persist until a certain event comes up and well, guess Kushina's foreshadow has not come yet, its only been built upon. Still its insanely funny how great the opportunity is for NS to build in the future. All that past development will have to go somewhere and with the events of 631, it can happen later.

 

Geez I'm more excited for the battle with the summons, its been a good time to be at least a Sakura fan, she has gotten so much in this short time, its funny but also makes sense given the Sannin element. NS stuff will happen too, so many elements and loose ends left out there, there is still so much to come for it. Lots to come for team 7 as a whole, but if haters freaked out over 631, NS was not even getting started. All I know is, our goal remains simple, Naruto has to "go for the forehead."

Despite Sasuke having the Uchiha crest woven onto the back of his apparel for everyone to see Madara has yet to acknowledge the fact that there is a youth from his clan battling to prevent his schemes from coming to fruition. You would assume that someone who holds so much pride in his lineage and the ideals of his ancestors would at least express mild irritation to witnessing someone of the same blood contending against everything that their family stood for. Especially since this child has displayed one of the most unique and powerful abilities seen within the eyes of only a select few people who have acquired MS.

 

Also there is the whole issue of Sasuke reacting with a morbid expression when realizing that Madara prevailed through Edo Tensei's cancellation despite his beloved brother's efforts to stop him. It appeared to be foreshadowing an eventual confrontation between the two EMS users but that prospect has since been discarded or pushed aside temporarily.

@Atheck, I just realized it when you posted. Guess I was to caught up in seeing team 7 fight together. Anyway I think that it could possibly be addressed after the Juubi is defeated.

So it's the latter possibility. Well I suppose the lack of acknowledgement could be rationalized by the chaotic state of the battlefield and multitudes of soldiers/creatures fighting against one another making it difficult to distinguish a single figure amongst the carnage. That or perhaps his mind is too fixated on the inevitable battle with Hashirama to pay much concern for a small collection of "rag-tag" shinobi appearing after his long time rival had already arrived.
