I'll be so upset if Sasuke gets another powerup out of nowhere to match up Naruto in the final battle. Sasuke does not deserve it. Maybe he should work for his power for once (he's the opposite of hard work, just all shortcuts), off panel of course, I don't want precious plot development to be wasted on another Sasuke arc.

To be honest, I would call Kishimoto's newest chapter a "surprise". It was a great chapter, I won't disagree there, but I think the plot wasn't really surprising at all. More like a lot of people here were just worried about things.

You mean, you "wouldn't" call Kishi's newest chapter a surprise?


And, it did surprise me, I thought there was gonna be some kind of NH closure, whether for or against, then the fight was gonna happen on 617.

What I didn't expect was Naruto to give chakra to the Alliance, heck I thought he was completely drained!
Also didn't expect Sasuke to make a reappearance...and in Konoha! So, my interest is piqued....if only Kishi finishes this bloated War Arc soon.

It's like the anime version of Namek Arc all over again.

I agree. It's not that this was a huge plot twist; it was actually very predictable. I think the reason why some fans are calling 616 a "big twist" is because there were a lot of possibilities that could have come from 615, and some people concretely believed that Kishimoto was making NaruHina canon, but this chapter threw them off. It's not that this outcome wasn't comprehensible beforehand; some fans were just denying it as a possibility.

One of the biggest problems I have with Sasuke. It's like he's always getting these free powerbuffs. Kusnagi, Mangekyou Sharingan, EMS. That's why it's going to be so much sweeter when Naruto defeats that fool.

As for this chapter, not gonna lie, I was a little worried at the beginning, but when Naruto let go of Hinata's hand and started lending everyone his chakra, everything was dandy again. I actually laughed. As for Sakura not even being in this chapter, save for the flashback, I'm not worried, she'll get her moment(s).

Yes, but I think it's been cleared up that that translation was off. The literal translation was "young girl" or something or other. Mangapanda's was most accurate.

I don't read from MangaStream because they have extremely bias translations. When chapter 474 was released, the chapter where Sai explains Sakura's motive behind her confession, their initial translation of Sai's and Naruto's dialogue was, "Sakura LOVES Sasuke!!!", every time there was a mention of her feelings.

They bolded the phrase
THEY WROTE LOVE IN ALL CAPS
They used as many exclamation points as possible to emphasize it!!!!!!

It was awful. Of course, now we can't go back and look at how they translated that chapter because they only keep the three most recent ones on their site, but I'm being truthful. At the time, I was planning on making a video about faulty fan translations, but when I went to get the panels they had already deleted the chapter.

My point is, I will never consider their work as anything close to official. Try reading the translations of 615 from MS and MP side-by-side. You'll notice a huge difference in bias:

I trust whoever does the initial translations for MangaPanda and MangaHere, and I say "initial" because often I find that a few days after the chapter has been released, someone will replace the MangaPanda and MangaHere versions with the MangaStream version.

pretty happy about this chapter.

Just hope kishimoto actually does something good for
Sakura as a character. I don't want to see her character to be downplayed again.

for now lets just be happy for what we got. After the shipping drama we had three weeks ago.

Loved this chapter! There's no freaking way an older, mature Naruto couldn't become Hokage. He can transfer chakra to others and give their own powers a boost!? He's the ultimate!

Agree completely but I think that is why Sasukes character has been taken with the dark path so to speak. Nothing in life can be savored completely without some measure of sacrifice (equivalent exchange if you will ). Sasuke is in many senses a child still, stuck in a world that was taken from him by traumatic circumstances at a very early age. This earning of power the easy way has done nothing but made him more miserable especially given the fact Naruto, who worked hard for everything in his life, is now powerful and respected. I believe Kishi is doing this with Sasuke on purpose, think of good ole DBZ, Vegeta only wanted power for powers sake and for vengeance...Goku on the other hand fought for the good of others and a peaceful world. Kishi did say he loved Toriyama!
