No, it was probably rhetoric, depending on your tone. In either case, I wasn't arguing that the theory was right or that I believed in it, because we haven't seen all of Obito's flashbacks yet. I was just expanding on the theory.

No, that's Nagato. Tobi has nothing to do with Jiraiya's dream of understanding each other. Furthermore, he does believe in heroes, he simply doesn't agree with the cost.
