One questions: this is one of my wishful thinking(just asking for opinion..)
So, about the road to ninja movie, if naruto ends up with hinata in the "real world", maybe sakura and naruto ends up in the alternate world instead...because auSakura pretty much take a liking to auNaruto.....idk...compare to the Last movie, i think this The Rtn is far more makes senses to me...

Can't blame them ... some people prefer to live in dream rather than facing reality.

Yeah, I actually tend to have more fun reading non-canon pairings these days; like Naruto with Kin, Tayuya, Temari, and so on, lol.
Yeah, I think it's because with some of these crack pairs the author has more liberty to add more depth to the relationship and so on and it isn't so shackled up to the canon. NS was very strong in the canon regard until it was disposed off ungracefully so it's rare to see an author that explores them in a new way or adding new depths that weren't given already by the canon material
However I can certainly say that a lot of quality NS fanfics appeared because of this ending ( at least a good thing about it then...heh)
Like you though, when I'm in the mood rto read a Naruto fanfic I generally read some crack pairing one, I was a big fan of well developed Naru/Ino or even Naru/Saku/Ino for some time

Most of my favorite fics are crack ships. An Uzumaki Amongst the Dunes is one of my favorites and it's a great NarutoxTemari one.
That's cool I myself got an unusual pairing I've gotten behind, even if I have seen some great art for it; Choji and Ino. I just love concepts of relationships like that; beauty and the geek or the unexpected, since in the long run, it shows you that love isn't just about looks or something superficial. It's about the person and how they make you feel.

Honestly I think he was moving in the general direction of Choji and Ino at the start and possibly hinted at in part 2. His use of parallels and hints seemed to point to it where Shikamaru was told about bossy girls, and where Shikamaru told Choji about how girls could be troublesome.
Sadly he veered off in the end as we all know But I do honestly think he was considering it.

I thought it was more Laura Bailey, the voice actress for Kushina. But either way, Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 had the better ending of the whole shebang!
