You are absolutely correct. I mean the truth is simply Naruto never loved Sakura; he only pretended to love her because he didn't want to lose to Sasuke. Which by the way he did. But hey that gave birth to most romantic and amazing and perfect pairing in the history of mankind.

 

The famous Naruto and Hinata. It's so perfect. You can feel the love in the air, it's really that amazing the romance between those two.

And it gets even worse when the movie itself declares that this version of Naruto views women as trophies. He sees them as a competition, as a sport. He only wants them if someone else wants them.

One would think that if Naru/Hina and Sasu/Saku were such excellent and perfect pairings that Kishimoto wouldn't need to come out and defend his choice of putting them together. With each 'reason' he/SP gives it is just throwing more and more fuel on the fire that is the ire of 'true' Naruto fans, those of us who enjoyed the series for it's messages of perseverance, determination in the face of obstacles, that hard work will trump 'genius' as well as friendship and loyalty, and not those 'fans' who only like the series for it's terrible ideas of romance and love. Naruto has dissolved into a worse version of Harry Potter with all the shipping wars that have gone on, especially since JKR came out earlier this year with that article on how she might have made a mistake putting Hermione and Ron together in the end. At least in Harry Potter, the red herrings/teases that JKR gave the readers were just that red herrings/teases, and that they flowed in the story. She didn't go back after finishing book 7 and change the first couple chapters of book 1 to include Ginny as Harry's 'forgotten guardian angel'. 

 

It's hilarious to read reviews from Hinata lovers/Sakura haters on ff.net in my Naruto-RW story who are bashing me for 'bashing' Hinata or 'praising Sakura', or even comparing the two with their fangirl/stalkerish tendencies when I am trying to build both Hinata and Sakura's characters up to a respectable level.

My understanding is she was an independent author who finally hooked up with Bloomsberry publishing after multiple rejections form other publishing houses.

Yeah, JKR went to like 15 different publishers before Bloomsberry gave her a contract. A common meme in the Harry Potter fandom is 'Think you have it bad, just remember you aren't one of the 12 publishers who passed on Harry Potter.'

Yeah all by NH fans, I mean its gotten a lot worse since Naruto ended that is for sure I mean for us NaruSaku writers I feel that they want NS to die out all together so that all they have to see is NH.

Well the story fans as well as the NS fans left. So all that's felt are the fanatics NH fans.

Well I still see many NaruSaku stories, and I feel that if we do stop doing fanfics of them and giving them what they should have got would kill them off for good, we as NS may hate who they have become. But if we stop doing stories with them and how they should have become. Well that just means that in the end both SP and NH win, and many are letting it happen I feel we owe it too the real Naruto and Sakura to give them what they should have gotten.

 

Naruto being a good Hokage that we all knew he would have been and a good father to his kids and getting the girl that he has loved for so long by not making him this scumbag that SP have changed him into to suite their own sick ideas on what love is.

 

Sakura being a smart woman who moves on from Sasuke and knows that there are better man that will treat her right, and being the head medic ninja of Konoha.

i hope NS fanfics' don't stop. i like reading them. they're always so deep, and meaningful, and sweet. there are/were some really good writers out there

As I tend to scour fanfiction.net a lot, I can safely say that ever since later in the War Arc, the number of new Naruto fanfics plummeted. There used to be several hundred, if not thousand each month, which is why it quickly became the anime with the most fanfics. Ever since the War Arc, it doesn't even hit a thousand or more after several months. Of course, filtering out NH and NS, NH is at 23.0K while NS is 14.7K. XP
