So Sarada's mother is really Karin wow *sarcastic* I didn't see that coming. Kishimoto has such a great gift in turning cool characters into something so pathetic.

You know I'm starting to believe that theory might be true. That since Kishimoto was forced to make NH and SS he's trying to make both pairings look crappy and pathetic as much as he can. He's doing it all on purpose because he's pretty much angry at the crazy fandom.

Meh. IDK. And I don't care. I'm just stunned that we were actually correct about Salad. On the story itself, who knows what's going to happen. I still want nothing to do with it.

I prefer him writing a good story, even if that mean nh & ss.

While a large part of my disappointment about the ending was pairing related, I never felt the NS had to be involved for it to be good. There was more to the plot than pairings, and the plot could have wrapped up nicely without my preferred pairings ending up together. It didn't.

I have no interest in the next gen projects because the last two chapters were badly written and disappointing, and because I resented that 700 wasn't a real ending but yet another extension to the story. And while I am not reading Gaiden I do hate that Naruto has been reduced to soap opra drama.

 

There's no saving the story at this point and I no longer care. Not that there ever was, not once 699 and 700 were finalized.

I'm actually enjoying seeing both fandoms pretending they like what Kishimoto has done with the story. On the inside they don't like how he made NH and SS and how horrible he's treating both pairings.

I lose respect for people who ship SasuSaku. Naruhina isn't that bad imo.

And that's something extremist NH/SS fans don't want to believe - that if NH/SS had happened with an actual developed story and character development both individually and mutually, then while most of the NS fandom would indeed be disappointed, they would at least be able to "lose with dignity", admit their loss, and continue to simply ship in fanfiction and such. I doubt you'd see anywhere near as much trolling and hate on the NH/SS blogs/forums from disappointed NS fans as you still do from extremist NH/SS fans on NS blogs/forums today despite their "winning" and their pairings becoming canon. It's pretty clear that they themselves know that, with the way the story was done, their pairings are trash in canon.

Of course, extremist NH/SS fans think anyone who dislikes the ending must be a NS fan when they're not or at least not being the only reason because, as said countless times, pairings are the only thing that matter to them, and probably in most anime besides Naruto too. You'd probably find them doing similar things with any anime, even if it's not romance-based at all, hoping certain pairings happen and constantly ship them, even if the development between the characters is almost nil.

Pretty much how I see it too, Cat. It's just dumb it had to be a pity ship to justify having them get together. In many cases, all SS is is a back-up lay since Karin is missing, and Sasuke had Sarada with Sakura for some dumb reason... X_X

Kishi even admitted as such, yet extremist NH fans, the ones who are always telling others to "respect Kishimoto" and such, won't accept it. Typical double standards and hypocrisy.
