Well I highly doubt the series will end with The Last. The way I see it theres 3 choices

A. Naruto becomes hokage in part 3 after the movie

B. Naruto becomes hokage in the movie

C. Naruto doesnt become hokage

A seems the most likely to happen. I just cant imagine the manga not having an ending or atleast a conclusion to the main characters dream throughout the maga so he can put it in a movie

Well, any ideas how Sasuke will damage Naruto's right arm?

 

It's his right arm the same one as his son seal so he might be covering it for some reason....or maybe it's the aftereffects of undoing the Jutsu

I can't help but wonder how the movie will affect people who only follow the anime, though. It seems like they'll be missing a lot between where the anime could possible be at the time of its release and what the manga will have already covered, which, I guess, is more requisite for the film.

I know some people who refuse to be spoiled by the manga, though. Don't know why. I guess it has to with which medium they prefer?

I better leave them there with the anime they have episode 235 and they dream about NS is already canon.

I never noticed that before, you're right they don't have the Seals for the Sun and Moon on them anymore.

 

Hmm...then knowning Naruto it could be damage caused when he tries to combine multiple Bijuu powers Rasengan. Or maybe it's something else entirely, he now has the power to rebuild and repair body parts, so it would have to be something pretty major.

Yeah I know that feeling, it's pretty much the same for me, I can't talk to most of my mates about the manga because they watch the anime and then read the manga relating to the anime episode. It's basically down to how they pick up data, some of them learn better by reading and others better by listening and watching. If they read the manga they can't visualise the scene very well so for them watching it gives them a better understanding of the story, and then they read the manga to fill in the blanks the anime often leaves.

 

I do wonder about the movie, there has been some speculation that the movie is to showcase the start of the third part in the series, but if that is the case it would mean every single reader of the manga, will need to go watch the movie to understand what's happening in the Manga, as they could miss some vital chunks of the plot otherwise. Ofcourse Kishi could break the movie story down for regular weekly manga release, but then that could lead to issues of their own. Also no matter how things go this will cause some issue with the anime only fanbase, I can't see them basing the movie in the future and make no mention of the outcome of the war. (seeing all the survivors pretty much in itself is a major spoiler.)

 

I wonder if the plan is to release the final part of the story as a movie trilogy or similar and then publish each movies story as a volume? I'm interested to see how they plan to do this, if they are indeed continuing after the movie, it will be something that's rarely done in Japanese media. I don't even know if it's ever been done before.
