Hinata's feelings for Naruto aren't that well defined.
She has strong enough feelings to jump and try to rescue Naruto yet when she sees Sakura hug Naruto she is smilling.
She has Naruto as the avatar of her desire to change and be strong willed yet not once could she go and talk to him. Something he usually kinda needed. Maybe it's the -kun mental barrier but it's fair to say that she feels that she loves Naruto. Not dure if the manga makes a clear distinction about love. The only 2 things it's associated with is that's it's hard to stop loving someone and in the uchiha case it can lead to madness. Like saving the guy you are planning to kill. Madness.
Maybe a definition of what real love compared to the feelings of love will be shown in manga but untill then we can say Hinata loves Naruto.

But what intrigues me about all this feelings is what Kakashi said about the guy who ignores his friends is the worst trash. So Naruto ignoring all of this is a trash? I don't see how Kakashi's words have any purpose other then to adress Obito personally and maybe Sasuke.
As for Sakura and Sasuke I think the same thing. That she feels she still loves him. In her case I can even go and say that regarding her feelings what she feels for Sasuke she labels it as love and for Naruto a mystery.

We were in the bottom of the barrel because of 2.5 years of no NS moment(s) or the over exaggerated interpretation of NH moments. Now, NH is becoming more friendzoned than any failed attempt at romance, SS breaking into millions of pieces unless Sasuke picks them all up, which he's in "Eh" mode, and NS just got all the credibility of becoming canon in the end????????????

Yeah, I'm guessing a lot of sasusaku fans are now on the side of narusaku as well. Also, I'm sure most of them have accepted narusaku as the endgame. I love how understanding the Japanese fandom truly is. But what I most admire about them is that they do not seem to have pairing wars.

Haha, indeed friend. Thats kishi's fanbase for ya'. The japanese arent in denial, they're true fans of naruto since they know the direction kishimoto is going, they know narusaku is the endgame. Narusaku and sasusaku are the only two pairings that they actually cared about, but recently narusaku has the upper hand since its pretty much official. So in reality its just a pity that the western fanbase takes naruhina so seriously, which is pathetic. I've heard about pairing wars but it actually makes sense cuz both sides of the pairing would actually have mutual development, like ichihime and ichiruki (I dont know much about it) but those two pairings look like they really are competitive since orihime is the heroine and rukia is on thw same team as ichigo and they're close-and take the console war, ps4 might've won but atleast there was competition and actually kinda equal to eachother.

But in naruto its just so damn OBVIOUS that narusaku was the endgame since chap 3. Hinata never had n actual moment of love with naruto, heck they barely even interacted to be a couple, they're just plain friends, just like ino and tenten. But ofcoarse shes had her moments, but you simpky cant conpare it so sakura in anyyway. So yeah, its only normal that the jaoanese dont care about hinata pairing wise or story wise. Its just obsurd that the western fanbase does.

Well, it was never said that she was jealous, honestly I dont see a reason for her to be jealous sonce it wasnt romantic and naruto and sakura are practically an item. We only saw her face shocked but in that one panel alone. Its really up to interpretation.

In the pain fight that wasnt jealousy, the look on her face was disturbed, sad even. But not jealous. Why should she? But then again, its up to interpretation.

The japanese read it in it's native language. A word there could mean more than it means after a pretty good translation. Heck seeing how complicated japanese is, most of the manga needed to have small translators notes to give some more background on what the author meant when he conceived that dialogue. For japanese it's easy they read it and understand it the best they can. There's probably some confusion there also but that's in normal limits.

Also I think the western fandom isn't that far away, unfortunately it's trolls are more dangerous. I'm starting to think that most of the pairing wars are caused by trolls.

The Pain Arc scene was jealous or at least a serious one. In media, there are two types: comedy and serious. Comedy would be something that you see in that school special of Naruto, where Sakura is all jealous that Hinata got near to Naruto, so she act all tsundere about it. Serious would be this one because well it's not making her feeling comfortable about it and it's addressed in a serious way. When you really think about it, why would Kishi start the chapter with that, let alone a color page. It's quickly cut off once Katsuyu announced Naruto's state of normal. Also, why would she keep it to her mind only, let alone that Neji asked why she did that. If that was support from Sakura to Hinata, well she did a poor job by hugging Naruto, stealing the glory. Lately, I am starting to think perhaps 615 is another one, but a small one. More like a reminder from the past event, like "Oh yeah, I remember, Pain Arc." But who knows on that one.

If you're talking about others, from what I heard, they downplayed it. Shino realized it was Naruto, rather making Hinata the only one, Hinata said he ended up protecting "them", not "me", some of dialogues change to make more friendly term, and Naruto only show one panel from Pain arc. Now, I'm hearing that NS part got emphasized a bit better to make it seem more "special." Man, the studio must be going biased mode. What the heck did I miss?

I dont watch the anime anymore, but what they did didnt make a difference in intention, naruto told hinata not to look down on herself cuz shes strong, naruto came in time to save hinata, shino, kiba and it wasnt romantic, so I dont know why people are saying its really different.

About chap 615 in the anime, yeah narusaku will most likely be canon when that time comes, but I doubt they're gonna do what they did in the confession chapter. Thats a bet.

Eh ... I'm conflicted over how I feel about Hinata's feelings for Naruto. I feel it's more than a crush (I mean come on, the girl nearly died to protect Naruto), but my realism issue just doesn't get how she could feel that strongly about someone she hardly knows. I say Hinata loves Naruto, but she doesn't love him the way Naruto loves Sakura. Naruto's love for Sakura was created through spending time with her and seeing her flaws/virtues over the years, as well as being one of the first to actively acknowledge him. He doesn't love from afar, he loves her for who she is. It was developed and worked on over the series, making complete sense to me.
 
Hinata's love was created from her low self-confidence issues and how Naruto was everything she wanted to be.  Her admiration turned into intense hero worship, to the point she puts Naruto entirely on an unrealistic pedestal. She sees him as perfect in her eyes, she doesn't know his faults and struggles. Sure she saw him as "proud failure", but her love for him is insanely idealistic and blind. Now if Hinata spent time with him more, I would be okay with her feelings. But Kishi's way of handling her is still having me scratch my head.
 
You're right though. Hinata's love for Naruto is selfish, just like Sakura's love for Sasuke. She never focuses on his goals or problems, she focuses on how much she wants him to acknowledge her. Naruto's love is not like that, he asks nothing from Sakura. All he wants her is to be happy in life, even if that's not with him. Now that's love.
 
I still feel bad for Hinata ... I don't think she knows that Naruto doesn't return his feelings yet. It's gonna be hard for her.

why in merlins beard do some people keep saying that hinata is gonna take it hard cuz naruto didnt return her feelings. Ok first off, was hinata EVER portrayed in the manga as persuing naruto romantically? No its only been seen her chasing after him in terms of improving, which we sae her resolve In chapter 633 when she said, "i wanted to be by naruto-kuns side" and that he keeps moving forward and improving and that she'll keep improving even if its one step. She didnt say she wants to be with hin and shes gonna be in a relationship with him. Hinatas character isnt for romance, even in the kizuna book she wasnt in the romantic part of the book. Kishi doesnt focuse on hinatas character and he's already ended it, why are we still carrying it on?

Well it was a sad moment. It's just those moments where you supposedly feel ok that she loves Naruto, why do you feel that way. I dunno can someone fill me in? and which pairing is most likely, ichihime or ichiruki? Also, who does ichigo love?

I completely agree! Sure, Hinata will be a little disappointed and sad about Naruto not returning her feelings for a little while, but with her recent development I believe she won't be all that torn up about, and instead, accept and support Naruto's true feelings for Sakura. The reason to believe this is, like you said, Sakura's hug to Naruto after the pain invasion. I have faith that Hinata will get over the fact that Naruto doesn't love her rather quickly...hopefully.

 

I honestly do not think she loves Sasuke anymore. As of now, she's wary of him...careful of trusting him. I don't think things will be the same between them ever again after what he did, but we'll see. Plus, she viewed her love for him in a negative light i.e. when she thought about him after that fodder ninja told her she must love a great guy. I'm sure she still has some feelings left for him, but I have faith that her remaining feelings will dwindle away. As for why she loved him, well... it started out as a shallow crush that I think she mistook for feelings of pure love. He was the hot, cool, dark guy that every girl wanted. Regardless, as she was on his team, she spent more time with him and started to care about him a little more. I believe she honestly just wanted to help him, or fix him in some way, kind of like what Naruto wanted to do with Sasuke. However, wanting to help someone should not be mistaken for loving someone... that's how I see it... she merely wanted to fill his lonely void somehow. Also, she did not understand Sasuke very well. This lack of understanding made Sasuke seem even more mysterious which peaked her interest in him even more. Perhaps she simply wanted to understand him as well. That's how I see it, though I may be completely off  haha

 

I have the same opinion, but everybody (NH/SS fans) keep saying she loves him and that is true love ..

Also that she has been loving him for 640 chapters and it will be a great disappointmen if she drops her feelings right know and switch over to Naruto... Which makes no sence at all , which makes her confession to Naruto a total fake, with the whole ''i love you'' scene which makes her a liar and a manipolator... And this is why i feel very saddent by this . I know its not true .. if it was then her character development and those moments which she shared with Naruto were all for nothing... Which would make her the  worse heroine, which btw many people hate her for .. They use 540 to back up their theories , which again makes no sence , we didnt see her smiling or beeing happy about it ( actually self-loathing is what i saw there , and hate towards Sasuke) , however they say ''She thought of Sasuke and Naruto '' Which is why is true love........   Which is so confusing and leads us to what i said earlyer about Naruto..

Ive watched some episodes of it ( 157-170), but got bored and left it , but it was easy to tell that he loves( has feelings for Rukia)

You could say that there are two heroines. I don't think there will be a romance ending. If I have to choose one, judging by latest development, it's possible that ichiruki could be the endgame. I mean they do have the development to be one, but it could end in a Yu Yu Hakusho style if shinigami love is not possible. But, due to latest development, yeah. Why you ask?
