Cause I know y'all didn't stand her ass in part one. (8 (I didn't either)

I'm really curious. Cause two of my male cousins that are naruto fans are both hinata fanboys. ..they are a disgrace to my family.

-shrugs- she's a bit of a tsundere towards Naruto, and I like tsundere characters. But I also
like that she isn't totally defined by her archetype. She's a feisty girl that seems to be a lot of fun to
hang out with. :)

In Part 1, I despised her during the first few chapters and the Zabuza arc.
I started to like her when she asked Naruto to save Sasuke (the PoAL) because
even though her request was selfish and hurt Naruto (albeit it wasn't her fault as she
didn't know Naruto was head over heels for her at that time), she was so vulnerable that it was hard not to have some pity on her.

Then when she became a full-on badass in Part 2, my liking for her strengthened because she grew tremendously. ^^

In this interview, Kishimoto practically confirmed what all of us already knew and that NH/SS denied so much: NaruSaku existed. They needed a retcon in a movie to "explain" how they didn't have romantic feelings for each other because the manga didn't do so. If the manga made it clear that it was all friendship like NH/SS said, such a scene wouldn't be needed. That's why Kishimoto likes it, because it tries to explain what he didn't make clear in the manga, trying to give a bit of credibility to his choice. But we all know that it was just a lame excuse to diminish NS' relevance. It did't explain why Naruto picked Sakura over all of the other Sasuke fangirls when he treated her just like them. It didn't explain why his love was so selfless if his reasons were so selfish. It made Naruto's quote "I hate people who lie to themselves" such a shot on his own feet. It was a clear retcon. Plus, there is no competition if Sasuke didn't kittening like Sakura. Against who he was fighting? Her feelings for Sasuke? Because Sasuke himself didn't give a damn. So he liked her because of his rivalry with Sasuke, but in the end, he competed with Sakura, since she was the only one not ok with it. It makes no kittening sense. I mean, if he actually did gain her heart, what would he say? "Suck it Sasuke, I won."? Won what? Did Sasuke ever wanted her in first place?

That was just a rumor from a NH troll on tumblr   there is two more added chapters  to the ending . The ending is chap 700   bc of useless symbolism   .  With that being said  Yeah it would be the mother of all rectons  bc  you can't twist Kushina's and Minato's words  no matter what   Hinata was the weird one  by Minato Sakura was like Kushina   NS was MK  and yet NS isn't "love" the mofo  had the nerve to kitten even on the MC parents relationship  making it insignificant sign.  JFC  I want to punch this bastard so bad  that blood will start coming out of his ass .

Personally, I don't need solid evidence tbh. The supporting cast barely had any lines, or didn't even speak. I know that in the past movies, they were often ignored as well, but this movie was supposed to be the "last" one. Every character should have been given a moment.

I'm still sad that Tenten, one of my favorite female characters in Naruto next to Sakura, Kushina, and Tsunade, didn't get a single moment on her own.

So far, only Nana has said that she loved the movie -,-

I rarely put my attention toward female in character in shonen manga.
It change until I enter college.

For me, sakura is not your everyday shonen heroine. She's more a shoujo heroine with a little b*tch tendency.

But I like her, why? Because that make her a unique character.
She's a unique character and heroic to the point I think you will never find this kind of character again. The problem is sakura need development the most. Kishi doesn't develop her and you get the hate and unpopular character.

The same I could say about naruto with his poor development.

 

Funny how people think that she's so unpopular. That's not true, she is popular, for the reasons you mentioned and more. In fact, she is more popular than Hinata among japanese readers. Hinata becoming the "new heroine" aka damsel in distress and not a real heroine is purely SP bias. The only thing not well developed about her is her tendency to act like a fangirl towards Sasuke. But in terms of strength, maturity and relationship with the main character, she was the one that grew the most in the whole series. She was weak and too guided by emotions even when in missions and fights, and there she was, as a strong medical ninja, maintaining the control of her emotions and supporting the main character. The hate on her is basically because she rejects the main character all the time and has feelings for his rival, because the protagonism forbides anyone to do tsuch a thing without being disliked. And as for some, the first impression is what matters, they can't stop hating even when things start to change. They still call her useless after all she's done lol, how blind did hate make them?

In RTN I'm pretty sure everyone had a line. Just another reason for why it is sooo much better than The Last.

The one where Nana said multiple times that Naruto confessed, and the Junko said "Yup, you got what you wanted." Was the confirmed? I didn't hear her say anything about her looking like Hinata.

 

I'd like to hear more about this theme that Nana is seen as a "curse" outside her beta male base.

I basically told them "Yeah I know the ending was amazing having Sasuke admit he lost with him and Naruto lying their ground with their arms severed. It was the best ending Kishi ever did for the series." These guys were like "No you've got it kinda mixed up the ending of Naruto is where Naruto becomes Hokage marries Hinata has Bolt and Himawarri, and Sasuke marries Sakura has Sarada." and I told basically told them, "You know the mangaka said 699 and 700 were fan intrpretatations and the real ending is at 698." and they looked surprised and said, "Wait he did." and I was like "Yeah he did."  after that they didn't know what to say, and I got to say

What you are referring to is I think a rumor that Serenity told us from Facebook. I don't know whether that was confirmed. What I was talking about is this interview from Nana a while ago. Oh, and my bad, she didn't say she is like Hinata, but what she says still is abhorrent.

Sakura is not that popular compare to Hinata. And I don't have any problem with that. Because side character become more popular than main character is not new in manga popularity.

Where are you talking? Hinata is not more popular then Sakura in the Japanese polls that I've seen. It's only here in the damn west where she has much popularity from what I've seen. She's wish fulfillment.
