Yeah, we knew that already. The rivalry is what made this into a total garbage, no matter what way you try to look at. I tried and really, it's just impossible. Only retcon can do it. And so shall they do it. It's like I said, the moment you see Naruto pulled a shadow clone before he really learned it, you already know this movie will not make any sense.

Besides, we already got the novel excerpt, pretty much it went down like this:

-Naruto's love or "love" is based on rivalry.
-Hinata never changed because women never do.
-Don't give up, because she's up to something, rather than I don't know, "Don't give up because you are you" or something. I guess all you have to tell me is my love interest is hiding something when she was kissing my enemy, so I can rebound like no tomorrow. Good lesson.
-No men's feelings are important at all because we are dumb and just give yes or no to women.
-Millions are offended

And that's it. Why am I not reading Tokyo Ghoul again?

The point is that men should choose the woman that has been loyal to them, not the one they have a mutual relationship with.

The scene is God awful in writing and it's the point of where Japan officially declared him scumbag. Again, how is "Hinata is hiding" is a rebound for Naruto? Why on Earth Naruto even blame her? HER! Why Naruto suddenly turned emo to the point Sasuke would say "Oh cry me a river?" Why do we have to established Naruto is a scumbag? Why love is shown selfish? Did you not see a movie with selfless act? Did you not see series that actually supports selfless equals huge reward? Did you not read anything at all?!

it's cool. once the sand village comes over to konoha for the next chunin exams, and the sand villagers start to hit on the females in konoha, naruto will have no choice but to love all the women in the village, since it'll make a rivalry for him. naruharem

I'm not exactly sure whether Naruto's images in this gif were in the filler episode, but Sakura screaming and shedding tears(!) was during one of those fillers in which Sakura and Naruto were sent on a mission in which they met an overweight guy who took care of some orphaned children.

Lol, I remember this NaruSaku scene from the filler in which Sakura was waking Naruto up and told him that they would go out to take a bath (you know, where everyone is are perfectly fine to be naked in front of the other ones, yadiyada). Naruto was like:"Really? Us together?!" ... Sakura punches him
