I've noticed that parallel for quite a few chapters now as well. Would Kishi make it happen before the battle, that's hard to determine now that Naruto's heading out to stop this war. Can it happen after, only time will tell, but I personsally would love it if it did, NaruSaku and a child that is.

Before the battle? How soon are u guys talking lol? I figure their would have to be another time jump for them to have a kid born on the day Naruto fights sasuke....the only kid I see them having is in the epilogue.

Hm, what do you guys think, how old were Minato and Kushina when they had Naruto? I don't think it's stated in cannon. Something tells me they were in their late twenties but I don't know where I got that from.

It's very unlikely that Naruto and Sakura will have a baby before the final battle: Saving Sasuke is Naruto's #1 task after dealing with Madara/Kabuto. But I do hope that Kishimoto-sensei will give us at least some hug/kiss scene (it would be too naïve to expect to see a marriage/coughsexcough before the fight with Sasuke).

Yep that sounds about right, too much has to happen story wise for that to occur. But I'm sure we will get a kiss right before the Naruto vs sasuke fight and I think we might get a child

Not late 20's, there's enough material to figure out they were between Shikaku's (23) and Mikoto's(25) age. First half of their twenties. Probably 23. The pineappled hair kid behind Minato in the classroom when they were around 6-7 was almost certainly Shikaku. And as it wasn't mentioned as happening during the Academy years, Mikoto's friendship with Kushina happened sometime after that. (after Kushina became the jinchuuriki too most likely) There's kind of very subtle vibe with them that Mikoto is the elder, more experienced, woman too. (there's a story that needs to be told, how did the friendship start and how much of a friend was Mikoto really, was her almost certain betrayal of Kushina done with no remorse or a lot...)

Well, I hope to see some kind of 'epilogue': it would be awesome to see grown-up rookies, Konohamaru & co (aged Kakashi and Guy, lol, just imagine him shouting that 'springtime of youth' nonsense

EDIT:
Hmm.. the boy behind Minato looks like he's from the Hyuuga clan: byakugan-like eyes + a bandage on his forehead (probably covering that curse mark).

My thoughts are, of course he still loves Sakura but he is concern more about Sasuke because he is a legit threat to everything Naruto holds dear to, and Naruto wants/needs to be the guy who can save him and truthfully, 100% without a shout of a doubt, get Sakura to pick Naruto over Sasuke with no regrets though I think it already happened.

That I feel almost 100% certain we well see. Likely jumping ahead to show Shikamaru leading the Genin team that has Asuma and Kurenai's child on it (maybe arriving at his home to Temari and family), Sakura training her apprentice Tami (the little girl she rescued during the Pain arc) with Naruto and Sakura's children all underfoot- little hyper, loud but adorable children, Naruto walking in to this chaos with his big grin as the kids then swarm their daddy. Images of the others of Naruto's generation with their families or working... Then pictures of Kakashi, etc... and an explanation of how the world has changed for the better and is still changing to become better and how Naruto is the center of this change.

He won't care about that one way or the other. Remember, contrary to what the sasusaku want to believe Sasuke never felt the least bit attracted to Sakura, much less had any romantic feelings for her. In fact, if any reaction it would likely be a sneering thought that Sakura finally grew a clue and went for the guy who was actually interested in her. In a small way he acted as part of the foundation of romantic narusaku after all (urging Naruto to save Sakura, then telling Sakura that Naruto had saved her, reminding Sakura during the confession scene that it was Naruto she was like, that she was on the same path as Naruto.... Sasuke had no reaction to Naruto and Sakura's romantic tinged interactions after his surprise when Naruto rescued her from being killed by him after all....)

Oh, I see... Well anyway, I just hope that in case if Naruto will manage to save him, Sasuke will be at least happy for those two.

Sasuke's made clear what restoring (not rebuilding) his clan means- absolutely nothing to do with any further generations- in fact he believes killing everybody else is what will restore his clan. If he's the only one left alive then his clan is restored. He's outright said he wants to kill everyone. It's beyond even vengeance now, he's wanting complete annihilation. He's so far gone into hatred...

Otherwise, if Sakura realize that the only reason he wants to be with her is to restore the clan, I just don't think she would want that kind of relationship. Did the sasusaku shippers think it like that, huh?
