Well...Couple of things:
 

Notes:

1. Didn't expect Ichiya to die. That was...actually unexpected.
2. Jellal didn't die.
3. All final bosses ended. Huh...I need time to think if this is good.
4. 10 chapters to go.
5. If all final battles end, the ending is 10 chapters long?

Not going to lie, I am very confused on my own thoughts right now.

Jellal not dying is a pile of kitten. Talk about being plot protected lol

Only Mashima can give a joke character an awesome death. Honestly, this is what should've happened with Guy when he unlocked all the gates. Ichiya might just be my 3rd favorite character in the series now.

As for Jellal, do we really want Mashima do a literal repeat of Rave with FT? I think he's recycled similar plots to Rave enough already. I'd take this pleasant surprise over rehashing a plot from Rave.

There are several (8/10 ?) chapters left. And all the main bosses fights are done. This probably means the Dragon will come back. Or the God who screwed around with Zeref/Mavis will be end boss fight. Which I hope it wont. We don't need another Kaguya fight!

If I remember right, that's about the same amount of screentime Kaguya had. Unless someone can correct me, though.

Let's see Kaguya showed up in chapter 679 and she gets defeated in chapter 690 so about 11 chapters in total.

Given that Jellal and Erza are the two most ridiculous characters given plot - this was just as garbage as anything that's happened thus far. I'm not going to label it a "pleasant surprise" given the quality of what happened.

Jellal isn't even half as bad. After all, there's only one instance that I can count off my head that constitutes an asspull attributed to his character, whereas the latter has dozens with the author coming up with a lame excuse for them. As much as you hate Jellal, trust me he ain't got nothing on Sauce.

So I got to ask when it comes to the Dragon Cry movie.. whenever we find out about the theater listings.. will you go see it?
