Theres actually nothing that can bring NH and SS back on track, as long as Kishi doesnt decide to go against his story, what leaves the question: WHY SHOULD HE DO THAT?

If he really wanted to make NH or SS canon he would never add moments like Minatos comparison and Yamatos unfinished sentence. 

 

There are maybe some people out there saying that he only compared Kushina to Sakura to troll NS and make the moments some kind of redherring, but something like this cant be a troll since it would have way to many consequences in the end. Everybody would ask why Naruto in the end picked Hinata when his Mother told him to find someone like her and also already found that one.

 

Not to mention that Yamatos unfinished sentence would leave a plot hole forever.

 

Exactly if Kishi goes with NH and SS then all those moments would become irrelevant. But the problem is the bias. They interact in one one panel it's a moment, they show up on the same page it's a moment. Don't know about Hinata but team 7 interactions are still bound to show up in the following chapters.

Yeah, they see everything as a moment and use non existent parallels as evidence, but in the end they always pay the price. In the end they have been the one comparing Kushina to Hinata as well as Obito to Sasuke.....yeah-

I have seen a lot of nice posts in here. I wish to reply them, but I am a bit busy. It's now morning and getting ready for work.

 

Now I'm hearing that the anime was biased on the latest episode. From what I heard, at least by one person, he felt strange vibe that Naruto saving Sakura was presented "special" as the other moment was "normal". I guess I have to watch it and see the damage presentation from the anime.

As far as the story goes NH and SS are almost extinct but the pairing wars still rage on. The Kushina parallel we won but NH and SS still speculate that a near future moment would bring them back on track.

Things seem calm yet on Tumblr for example there are cases of intentional cross tagging. I check only the NS tag but some SS fan was flooding it with SS fanart that it felt like he tried to brainwash us. But it's just immaturity things for NS right now aren't as fickle as they were after 615. And as for a SS scene on the level of NH's 615 one is highly unlikely and if that happens it will surely become irrelevant after the Sasuke and Naruto fight heat up.

 

But on another note it looks like NS still needs some development far away from the other 2 main pairings to sort their relationship up. It isn't like before, when NS fate was dependent on SS's fate but now it's the other way around.

 

Well, of course the pairing wars are still raging on. I bet even when NaruSaku becomes canon, you'll still have NH/SS fans arguing with how OCC it is or unrealistic it is. It'll be like an intense aftershock once the deed is done, and it'll last a few more years after the series ends. It'll be chaos, absolute chaos. That's what happens when you have pairing wars to the intensity of the Naruto fandom.  How it ever got this bad I will never know.

 

Look, I've tried to be open-minded for the sake of the NH/SS fans. I was really good at it for a long time until Minato did the Kushina/Sakura comparison. And now ... now I just can't see it like I used to. The only way Kishi could do NaruHina/SasuSaku is the asspull of all asspulls. And I'm sorry to them, but I follow consistency and common sense. If Naruto was able to say Sakura was "more or less" his girlfriend that easily to his father in front of Hinata no less, then there is no romantic conflict for him. We know Naruto. He's true to himself, he would have never been that bold if he was sprouting feelings for Hinata. It's like what I say about Sakura's confession. If Naruto had a romantic conflict then, he would've had a flashback of Hinata with an uncertain expression. Unless I'm blind, Naruto didn't think of Hinata at all during that time.  She wasn't the cause of his conflict, it was Sakura possibly lying about loving him and giving up on Sasuke.

 

Sakura is the one with the romantic conflict. SS vs. NS. Just like Kishi has always intended. The purpose of NH all along was for Hinata character development and a red herring. And I've seen SS as dead for while because Sasuke would never fall for Sakura, so I'm not even concerned. Me? I'm only waiting for Sakura and Naruto to realize she is starting to love him. That's all I care about, pairing-wise.

 

 

As for why NH always have a fangirl attack if Naruto and Hinata are looking at each other, you can't really blame them. The times the two interact are few and far between.

If you're talking about others, from what I heard, they downplayed it. Shino realized it was Naruto, rather making Hinata the only one, Hinata said he ended up protecting "them", not "me", some of dialogues change to make more friendly term, and Naruto only show one panel from Pain arc. Now, I'm hearing that NS part got emphasized a bit better to make it seem more "special." Man, the studio must be going biased mode. What the heck did I miss?

Well, that's the last hurdle. I don't know I thought it was ok because that's what it was: a friendly conversation. I don't know but all these NH moments really feels friendly with a girl holding that love. Still, takes two to tango, eh? That said I did hear that they did emphasize NS save part. I will see for myself soon. I think I saw a screenshot that Sakura fought for a short while before ultimately saved by Naruto. I think.

I mean they already deep down know that everything is lost to that pairing... Naruto beeing non-chalant to her love , cuz yeah he already is in love , and hinata's feelings are just a crush ( no belittelment intended) but that is what it is. I have yet to see her put Naruto's happiness above hers..

Eh ... I'm conflicted over how I feel about Hinata's feelings for Naruto. I feel it's more than a crush (I mean come on, the girl nearly died to protect Naruto), but my realism issue just doesn't get how she could feel that strongly about someone she hardly knows. I say Hinata loves Naruto, but she doesn't love him the way Naruto loves Sakura. Naruto's love for Sakura was created through spending time with her and seeing her flaws/virtues over the years, as well as being one of the first to actively acknowledge him. He doesn't love from afar, he loves her for who she is. It was developed and worked on over the series, making complete sense to me.

 

Hinata's love was created from her low self-confidence issues and how Naruto was everything she wanted to be.  Her admiration turned into intense hero worship, to the point she puts Naruto entirely on an unrealistic pedestal. She sees him as perfect in her eyes, she doesn't know his faults and struggles. Sure she saw him as "proud failure", but her love for him is insanely idealistic and blind. Now if Hinata spent time with him more, I would be okay with her feelings. But Kishi's way of handling her is still having me scratch my head.

 

You're right though. Hinata's love for Naruto is selfish, just like Sakura's love for Sasuke. She never focuses on his goals or problems, she focuses on how much she wants him to acknowledge her. Naruto's love is not like that, he asks nothing from Sakura. All he wants her is to be happy in life, even if that's not with him. Now that's love.

 

I still feel bad for Hinata ... I don't think she knows that Naruto doesn't return his feelings yet. It's gonna be hard for her.

Now the problem I have with hinata's love is, if naruto can see that sakura love sasuke(hospital & poal), and sakura can see Hinata love naruto(sakura heal her) than why Hinata can't see that naruto is in love with sakura? Is she in denial? No wonder in 450 she get the ...... Bubble.

Oh btw naruto feeling will play a big role in here in this war arc.

I guess so. Still, you got to admit, if you were in their shoes, you would have been disappointed, let alone this is one they waited for, going through fillers.

I saw a lot of people then die witout hesitation, when asked  to sell him out.  That is also love - I think  ,  on the similar level ... Kakashi would die ,Tsunade would ,Jiraiya would(did) . Now what is the diffrence ? Hinata does not know him exept as you mantioned ''proud failure", she does love him i am not denying that , but not in the romantic way.. For example i had those kind of crushes , but u didnt know the peole and can you guess what happened when i confessed? Yep, i got Friendzoned and yeah i deserved it although i was 10-12 old . So yeah i perfectly understand her..

Nah we aren't downplaying it, just saying how it is   in a way though.

Storytelling wise, to keep supsense and if she was already completly over him, NS would be canon in the manga right now.

Its all about keeping the pairing drama upright till the end.

I completely agree! Sure, Hinata will be a little disappointed and sad about Naruto not returning her feelings for a little while, but with her recent development I believe she won't be all that torn up about, and instead, accept and support Naruto's true feelings for Sakura. The reason to believe this is, like you said, Sakura's hug to Naruto after the pain invasion. I have faith that Hinata will get over the fact that Naruto doesn't love her rather quickly...hopefully.

I honestly do not think she loves Sasuke anymore. As of now, she's wary of him...careful of trusting him. I don't think things will be the same between them ever again after what he did, but we'll see. Plus, she viewed her love for him in a negative light i.e. when she thought about him after that fodder ninja told her she must love a great guy. I'm sure she still has some feelings left for him, but I have faith that her remaining feelings will dwindle away. As for why she loved him, well... it started out as a shallow crush that I think she mistook for feelings of pure love. He was the hot, cool, dark guy that every girl wanted. Regardless, as she was on his team, she spent more time with him and started to care about him a little more. I believe she honestly just wanted to help him, or fix him in some way, kind of like what Naruto wanted to do with Sasuke. However, wanting to help someone should not be mistaken for loving someone... that's how I see it... she merely wanted to fill his lonely void somehow. Also, she did not understand Sasuke very well. This lack of understanding made Sasuke seem even more mysterious which peaked her interest in him even more. Perhaps she simply wanted to understand him as well. That's how I see it, though I may be completely off  haha

To keep the drama in the plot. That's all there's to it. That if she didn't surprise us later in the manga that she's over him and that she already loves Naruto.

 

The thing is Kishi said that he was making Sakura honest in her confession then it means that she's over Sasuke, so I'll wait for when Sakura gives us more information on her love for Sasuke.

 

I think she's over him a long time ago, but she didn't realize fully her love for Naruto.
