Neji did what members of his family were expected to do. He died for the happiness of the main clan, just like his father.  In the end part 1 Neji knew exactly what he was talking about, well part 1 Naruto was proved to be full of kitten. Neji died so Princess Hinata could get the D and be happy.

Plus he killed J, and other fodder. I'm sure that will be all retconned as well now, along with Sasuke's multiple attempted murders. Kishimoto will probably say he just wanted to "knock them out".
 
That man's a murder. He attempted to kill most of the main cast, tried to take over the world,tried to destroy the villiage, helped caused the largest war in the Narutouniverse, attempted to enslave the entire ninja world under his iron fist,... and he is rewarded in the end.... kitten you Kishimoto you piece of kitten.

It wasn't just being rewarded, he was the most rewarded. Literally the only person outside of Hinata that was rewarded.

What did Naruto get? He got turned into trash, handed Kakashi's leftovers, a girl he never wanted, a job that he'd rather drink on than actually do, a son that he neglects after all of his past experiences, turned into a terrible douchebag, and becomes useless because the Hokage as described isnt needed. He went from the main character to becoming a plot device for someone that deserves nothing more to die. He got turned into a hypocrite scumbag that gave up and pissed all over his dead parents grave. Overall, Naruto grew taller and turned into exactly what he never wanted to be.

What did Sakura get? She went from a strong woman to a shallow kitten, an abused housewife, a single mother forced to care for a daughter that doesn't even look like her, for a man that had done nothing but try to murder her and put her down. She gave up her dreams and her growth and a chance at real, genuine love with someone that had always treasured her, loved her, cared for her, and admired her, for her childhood fantasies of not knowing what real love is by crushing on someone she never knew anything about. She turned into a hypocrite after insinuating that someone else loved her as a product of a rivalry, and tried to give that person love advice as unqualified as she is, knowing full well that her "love" was borne of the same circumstance. She went from a main character and the heroine to a side character with zero relevance. Overall, Sakura grew taller, but remained exactly the same as she was when she was twelve.

What did someone like Ino get? Ino too got made into a shallow kitten, just as Sakura did, as she ended up with a guy that was acknowledged that she initially liked him die to his resemblance with Sasuke. Sai became nothing more than a body to stare at while she imagines he was someone that's a murderer, tried to kill her best friend, and her best friends best friend multiple times, tried to take over the world, and that she knows nothing about. Overall, Ino grew taller, but just like Sakura, stayed exactly the same as she was.

What did Sasuke get? He got the girl his best friend was in love with after doing nothing but mentally and emotionally abusing her, trying to kill her on multiple occasions, and belittling her whenever possible. He got a woman that he never goes back to because he doesn't give a kitten about her, a child that he doesn't care about, a best friend that he stabbed in the back on more than one occasion that he doesn't even support, and he's free to walk around and see the world despite being a murderous raving lunatic. He's happy, and the things that should be what makes him happy don't, what makes him happy is being away from the things that should. Nothing that Sasuke got was what he earned or deserved. He rode off his best friends coattails and stole everything that was rightfully his. Overall, he grew taller and became a poison to everything around him, and still got everything that he shouldn't have.

EXACTLY!! Naruto's preaching was full of kitten and Neji's speech about fate was right all along. He DID end up dying for the main branch. Naruto didn't change Neji's destiny at all.

Not just kitten, but an insult to the intelligence of most of your fanbase. A "mislead" doesn't keep reinforcing over FIFTEEN YEARS of the ENTIRE story and then just revealed with a "gotcha!". Misleads are meant to be subtle, make people really question and believe in the other possibility, which would include Hinata having much more interaction with Naruto than we got, thus giving just about as much progress as was given to Sakura. That NEVER happened. Any logical fan NEVER questioned the blatant generational parallels, symbolism, and interactions.

Why must you create an entirely separate movie along with forced asspulls and retcons if it was PLANNED? If this was truly "planned" ALL of that stuff would NOT have been necessary at all as it would have ALREADY BEEN IN PLACE! It was NOT! It had to be forcefully CHANGED to accommodate a result that SP wanted. It was an answer in search of a problem that did NOT exist, so SP forcefully CREATED the problem in order to force their answer to fit.

We all once thought that kittenmoto was interested in creating a story that had structure, and character growth and arcs. That isn't what we got.

 

Sasuke should have stayed a villain. Bottom line end of story, because he is a villain anyway you look at him. This tale should have been about Naruto coming to terms with the fact that Sasuke had given his soul up for his own selfish want of revenge. Even after he started to see that Itachi was only trying to protect him, Sasuke continued to do evil and simply turned his goals to getting revenge on the village instead of on Itachi, because by then hatred and vengeance was all that he understood. Naruto coming to terms with that and being forced to grow up and put an end to the threat of the entire world, should have been a big part of him stepping into adult hood and should have been the next step to him becoming a better leader. Instead Naruto selfishly holds onto his desires to "bring Sasuke back", because Sasuke is just that special to him.... so had he not been able to punch Sasuke hard enough to make him give up Naruto would have been satisfied with Sasuke taking over the world... cause he couldn't bring himself to kill him. Sasuke is his reincarnated brother, (what level of kitten was it when that was revealed am I right?) and people just didn't understand that he loved everyone so much that they had to die for him! It was everyone else who was in the wrong not beloved Sasuke! Can't people see that they living simply got in the war of Sasuke's wants! Why are the so selfish that they would want to live, instead of just letting Sasuke do whatever he wanted?

 

Everytime either Sakura or Naruto broke down over this piece of kitten and started crying over him it took me further out of this story. In no particular order.

 

Sasuke want's to get revenge on Itachi!

Naruto: I'll bring Sasuke back! He a dumb dumb, but my friend! I'll help him! Plus Sakura is very sad without him here and I promised her I'd bring him back.

 

Sasuke wants to destroy the villiage!

Naruto: I'll bring Sasuke back! He's not that bad, he's just confused!

 

Sasuke tries to kill Sakura multiple times!

Naruto: I'll bring Sasuke back! He's just really sad right now. He loves us all deep down!

 

Then Sasuke kidnaps Killer B, and as far as he knew had killed him by taking the eight tails from him.

Naruto: I understand Sasuke now... he just loves things so much he can't help but be evil. I'll bring him back!

 

Sasuke attempts to kill all of the Kages with a massive coup de'tate.

Naruto: This is all because Sasuke is really sad his parents died... he's a good guy deep down I know it!

 

Karui is obviously upset that some of the Leaf ninja are still defending this mass murder, who helped kidnap one of their village's heroes, and has just helped to start a massive world war that will likely case the deaths of thousands if not millions.

Naruto: Punch me all you want! Just don't insult innocent Sasuke-kun! You just don't understand how sad he is! His heart is super strong so he feels emotions more then most people! That's why he murders peoples, and wants to start a war! So punch me not him! Hater!

 

Sasuke crosses over, only to once again almost allow Sakura and Kakashi to die. Remember later it would be revealed that he always "loved" both of them.... yet he was hoping they would die right there because they were in the way and useless in his eyes.

Naruto: Sasuke NO!! Don't be mean to Sakura and Kakashi! Don't just let them die! Don't you remember what you said when you were 12?!? Sasuke why you so sad? Is it cause your parents are dead? Poor Sasuke....

 

Sasuke says he is going to take the job Naruto has always talked about wanting, and he is going to use said job to create a fascistic military dictatorship.

Naruto:... But... Sasuke... that's my dream... and leaders aren't suppose to be mean! Is this because your childhood was hard like mine? :-(

 

Sasuke stops fighting simply because Naruto can punch just as hard as he can. He also says he loves him, and has always loved him, and all of the village. In fact he claims he never was bad honestly... it was all just a misunderstanding... oh and Naruto is like Itachi or something.

Naruto: I knew it! You murdered people, destroyed millions of peoples lives,tried to create a world wide coup, became a terrorist, caused a war, tried to create a dictatorship, and was the cause of suffering the world over just cause you were sad. Deep down you really are super awesome like I always remembered! Nothing changed! You can come home now and kitten the girl I love! I'll just go find something else to do! Thank God your home Sasuke! 

 

Sakura at least seemed to notice sometimes that Sasuke was a mass murdering terrorist who wanted to kill all those who stood agaisnt him, and take over the world for his own selfish desires!

 

If Sasuke looked like quasimoto from the Hunchback of Notre Dame, most people would see him for the mass murdering mad man he is, but because he is "hot" people love him.

Nothing matters as long as your name is Sasuke Uchiha.

 

Zabuza, Nagato, Itachi, Obito and Madara and almost every Akatsuki paid for their crimes with their lives. They were forgiven but they were not given a second chance. They die regretting their sins. 

 

Sasuke however got excused from every awful thing he did and nobody questioned his actions. He roams around freely and he even got the most beautiful girl in the Naruto-verse....
