I believe Sakura loves the Sasuke who gave her the compliment on her forehead. In other words a fake because it was Naruto who said the exact words she wanted to hear.

really if that was true she would have a flashback of the bench but the flashback she held and was engraved in her mind was when sasuke said thank u to her i truly believe she loves the true sasuke its just now i think after the SECOND attempt he try's to kill her maybe she'll see her love is not enough to save him and finally move on to heal then after healing FACE NARUTO

WOW, that was amazing review...so much information, thank for the reminder, I really didn't pay much attention to the romance part in the first generation and it been age since I last read it (maybe I should check that out again).

LOL...I said that I was a girl because romance is ( most os the time) something essential in anime for girl. Personally, to much lovey dovey romance disgust me ( like in the Shojo manga, to much romance and it's unrealistic)

Well actually, shoujo is more realistic, almost everyone falls in love. Compare this to shonen, not that many people go around challenging and engaging in gory fights on a regular basis, not that many people are pirates, ninja and samurai who engage in real battles haven't existed for centuries, and when they did they didn't fight like they do in shonen manga, etc...

No one is saying Sakura doesn't love or care for Naruto. She just doesn't have romantic feelings for him, but that doesn't mean she can't care for him at all. She planned on distracting Naruto because she didn't want to see him suffer by Sasuke anymore and because she felt incredibly guilty.

Her main reason, however, for doing what she did was because she loved Sasuke. From start to finish, she planned on killing Sasuke because she couldn't stand seeing him in total darkness and because she's in love with him.

It's really very simple.

*sighs* here we go again with the denial and being biased. I can't believe he's believing that Sakura wants to kill Sasuke because she loves him, that person has to ask himself. Why is Sakura doing this in the first place? because she found out how much Naruto truly loves her and what he's willing to go through for her. Sakura chose to take the burden herself to kill Sasuke in order to relief Naruto from all the pain she put him through because of POAL. She expects that Naruto would hate her for what she''s going to do, it was her punishment for everything she did to him according to Sakura. Sakura wanted to take away all the pain from Naruto and inflicted on herself, if that's not loving someone romantically I don't know what is.

If Sakura really loves Sasuke she would have joined up with him a long time not caring about Konoha or Naruto at all. If her love for Sasuke is truly eternal and undying she would have joined him not caring that she will end up getting kill by Orochimaru. Hell she would have never asked for Tsunade to train her she would continue to stand by the lines and watch as Naruto suffers for the promise and for Sasuke. She wouldn't care about Naruto at all or what he's been through and expect that he will bring Sasuke back for her.

My point is Sakura's sacrifice in order to relief Naruto from the pain is a sacrifice of true love. She does have feelings for the old Sasuke but that Sasuke is dead and she has realized and come to terms with it. These upcoming chapters Sakura will finally erase her remaining feelings for Sasuke and move on to Naruto. Which I believe this arc has two purposes.

1. To break team sevens bond with Sasuke finally realizing that the Sasuke they once knew is long and gone and will never come back.

2. To let go of Sakura's feelings for Sasuke and embrace the new strong ones she has for Naruto.

That's how I see it.

Naruto loves her, he's strong, wants to protect anyone at all cost, cares about peoples feelings, fun, he's always brought the best out of Sakura, and what has Sasuke done for Sakura? Calls her annoying, never had feelings for her, tried to kill her three times, wants to destroy the very place she was born and grew up, oh, and he's a maniac. Congrats shippudengirl reaching 300 posts and I agree with you. Good Sasuke never existed because his whole life has been poisoned by betrayal and revenge he will never be the same ever again. Revenge has taken over his life he had plenty of chances to redeem himself and follow the right path but he ignored it. Now there's no turning back for him.

Exactly, hell even Kakashi is giving him a chance now even though he knows it could start a war with the Five Nations, but no *sigh* Sasuke is never satisfied with just plan old, kill Itachi go home, he had to keep moving forwards towards the dark and now he's completely shrouded in it... Poor poor misguided maniac.

Sasuke has been good...EMO but he was good. I mean, he did save Naruto from Haku attack. His main goal was to take revenge but that didn't stop him from being friendly at time ( in a strange Sasuke'way, at least )
