Yeah, it's unnecessary to seperate them since they could work together even without romantic undertone.
Especially when rukia is the second most important character in this manga.
Well, it can't be helped when the hero himself became useless in the last arc and the manga has so many waste potential.

I agree with you on yuyu hakuso similiarity because I always see bleach as the spiritual succesor of yyh. But we know the different of quality between them.

I understand about Obito but it's a bit hard to swallow without acknowledging him as a long term villain. The main problem is the ultimate deus ex machina. Though the bonus is "coolest guy ever."

Naruto saying Obito was the coolest guy ever was one of the jumped the shark moments, it's like Naruto forgot Obito murdered his parents, made his life a living hell by killing his parents, killing how many, start a war for the dumbest of reasons. Pain was the last good Naruto if we don't count Menma, Obito pissed me off, Madara was boring, Kaguaya  was tacked on and Sasuke was awful.

Also that like Goku saying Freeza was the coolest guy after he killed Krillin right in front of him and Vegeta killed Freeza, Or Sora from Kingdom Hearts saying Xehanort is the coolest guy ever after Xehanort had killed Riku right in front Sora, Or Luke Skywalker say Darth Vader is the coolest guy ever after killing all his friends and this is Return of the Jedi Luke as an example.

Actually, It's a truly advantage for NS, too bad kishi is not consistent nor have good follow up, to the point he need to dumbing down his mc.

I would rather him get brainwash or taken as the vessel of madara rather than a cheap knock off darthvader.

I don't have a problem with tnj opponent, it just kishi doesn't do enough fight for a battle manga like naruto. Lack of action(battle) truly hurt his characters with the exception of sasuke since he get the most fight compare to naruto himself.

Sasuke's fights sucks and half the time the only joy in them is seeing Sasuke get his ass kicked only to be save by an asspull at the last second. Half the time with Naruto and his Talk no justu I feel like he's talking out his ass and has no idea what he's really saying.

Well, defeat mean friendship is a another name for tnj and it's staple trope in story, especially shonen & shoujo.
It will be need if the mc is a pacifier and want to spread some good guy ideology.

But it would limiting naruto fight to the point he doesn't fight orochimaru and danzo since they don't have similiarity aka parallel with naruto. The same can't be said with sasuke since he can fight anyone anywhere.
No wonder people thought he's the mc.

One of the Kishi tnj writing problem is the lack of consequence.

Dude no one got any consequence in Naruto, hell Fairy Tail actually give consequences to there characters like Jellal ever though he was a victim. Sasuke gets a slap on the wrist after killing how many people, betraying his own village, did how many crimes by all rights he should get life in prison or death but no way couldn't let happened to his real love, and no sasuke is the only one he cares about, he couldn't care less about his family. Hell put Naruto in a situation were he has the choice to save his family namely Hinata, Bolt and Himawari and Sasuke, he'll chose Sasuke. Obito goes to be with Rin ever after everything he did and how many people he killed I'm sorry but no.

Other than the pairing teases, both Ichigo pairings have substantial development to happen. Only thing I despise what authors do to their fandom is pairing tease and JK Rowling is guilty as that.

Renji and Rukia is some Magi comedy writing. Keyword: comedy. Like that literally came out of nowhere since last chapter hardly match up.
