About light novel, I don't know what light novel is. Is it the same with a short version of a certain novel? I read some sherlock holmes, but I'm sure it's short version from the original somehow. Never check it

Yes. its similar to novellas. Basically NL are novel formats of manga, manwha and manhua. That is what the all the Naruto novels you see posted in threads are from TL to Sakura Hidden novel are all LN.
