She wanted to be with Naruto in order to keep him safe, not necessarily because she was ready to be with him. She would have gone through with it, and most likely be happy, but she might have also felt guilt towards the part of her that wasn't over Sasuke. And also, I think she would have gone after Sasuke at some point, because he still needed to be dealt with. Sakura got mad at him probably because he was acting so harsh towards her and what she believed in was being threatened. She was uneasy, and guilty, so it would be easy for someone like Sakura to get mad suddenly.

I also think she would have taken Naruto home to konoha and once he was safely ensconced she would have inevitably left to confront Sasuke, either to protect Naruto, or confront her old feelings for him either would be possible.

I know this point has been beaten to death but the current generation is supposed to surpass the previous one. He claimed that Tsunade's rejections made him stronger but really you could see how much he loved her and wanted her. I don't want Naruto to end up like that, having to hide behind fake smiles and claim that's he's better now but really still has feelings for Sakura and everything is just bitter. I don't think Kishi wants that, either.

It is striking this thread took several years for reaching one-hundred pages but we only took months for filling one hundred pages more.

Regarding the current debate, I am almost fully certain she loves Naruto, but there is one part of her hasn't moved on yet. We saw -and were told- she has chosen Naruto and has decided moving on, but she still retains some lingering feelings towards Sasuke -or the person she believed Sasuke was-, and maybe she still needs sorting them out.

It fits with all what has been happening from the end of Part I: she seemed having developed feelings towards Naruto through the entire Part I, but her feelings towards Sasuke still were ambiguous. It was never told if she loved him or not.

However Sasuke has done a lot for eroding such feelings, and the current happenings are probably obliterating them:

Sakura has found out he has stabbed her teammate and he has suggested her killing Karin off in order to become her replacement, she has confirmed again he has changed and he now is heartless, she has been nearly murdered by him -again-, and she has wittnessed his mad-sounding ravings and his evil laughter.

Oh, and Devil, she has not joined Sasuke. She never intended joining him. She was trying tricking himso he lowered his defenses and she had one chance to kill him.

And Sasuke didn't believe her -logically- and tried driving a lightning through her windpipe.

You can feel the love.

I'm not gonna argue here, and Fire-chan you might be right but PERSONALLY I don't see how anyone can love someone after almost being killed by them three times, left you for Evil, you have a great guy that loves you right next to you, the guy you "love" was a 12-year-old crush you couldn't get over? And HE never loved you. Sorry, but I couldn't understand if Sakura still has romantic feelings towards Sasuke, I'm just gonna be neutral and say she feels for him as more of a friend; but I don't know, guess you can decide that ._.

I agree with you. I don't see how can Sakura still loved someone romantically after everything he has done not to mention trying to kill her three times and left her on a cold bench. Sakura has always have someone who was always there for her love her truly and will do anything for her just to make her happy. I don't see how Sakura can't pass such opportunity and such wonderful person like Naruto.

On the most recent chapter I have to say that I believe Sakura is really over him. To have the will to kill Sasuke took alot of guts. She did this for Naruto and herself. Even though I personally like Sasuke if he was dead she would be sad but completely over him. Like a few others said I think she just likes Sasuke as a friend now and don't want anything more. My opinion on why she was hesitating a little before trying to kill him is because of their past together and all the things they been through. I mean come on you plan on killing the guy you use to "love" its going to get to you. Imo Naruto is perfect for Sakura they are so alike and understand one another. But knowing Kishi he might turn the destroy all hopes for us by having Sakura still be obessessed over Sasuke. I hope he doesn't pull a fast one on us.

I'm just telling you my opinion. I said "I believe and IMO" I'm not trying to talk for everyone. Sorry if it seemed that way. But like you said we will have to all wait and see how Sakura really feels for Sasuke right now because it seems pretty clear to ME that Sakura have feelings for Naruto but we need to know if Sakura old feelings for Sasuke are still there. Hopefully the chapter coming up or the one after that provides us with much needed answers.
