Naruto never really said "he was the coolest guy".

 

This was a mistranslation. If I remember well, what Naruto really said was " when I think about him, I can only think of him as a cool guy / good guy " (can someone confirm me this please ? I'm sure we talked about it here. )

So no need to fight over this.

 

I'm also tired to see this sentence overused all over the web to discredit Naruto's feelings (yes I still care deeply about what that character represented)

 

IMO, Obito's story is one of the better written of all the manga. It's deep, it's full of despair and strong love and dedication. And the end is beautiful. But maybe that's just me...
 

Obito is the biggest proof to me that Kishi wanted to do NaruSaku and that Kishi, deep down inside, was planning for Naruto to ALWAYS love Sakura and no one else.

Because Obito and Naruto are the same.

 

When Naruto talked to him, he immediately talked about Rin. Because he knew damn well what Obito was going through. But hey, I might be wrong since Naruto only knows about 'ramen's love' right ?

 

The talk between them is also a proof of Naruto's feelings for Sakura. You just have to see Naruto's face when he talks about Rin, or when he discovered the reason why Obito was like that.

Better to be a Minato clone than an Obito one.

 

Why would he have to be a Minato clone anyway? What's wrong with Gutsy Ninja Naruto, was he too cool looking? l guess Naruto needed to look lamer and more plain to fit with his wife.

 

Generic with zero creativity. Just like with most of the new generation kids. 

 

Besides, Obito has always been a parallel for Naruto. Have you forgotten how people used to parallel ObitoRin with NaruSaku?

 

Anyhow, I personally see Naruto having hair like Obito the same way I see Yahiko having Minato/Naruto hairstyle. This doesn't mean Yahiko was trying to be like either of them.

 

The most important thing is Naruto never went full retard like Obito. Obito also  still became a good person in the end. Some of you are quick to forget that Naruto would be dead if not for Obito. In the end, Obito did some good things before he went to the darkside. Even if Naruto decides to be like Obito as long as he does not do all the crazy stuff, that is fine by me. 

 

It feels like I am defending Obito even though I am not a big fan. I won't say anymore on this matter.

 

I will always defend Naruto though. He still remains my favorite character despite everything.

i just saw another minakushi-esqe nh family picture of the bratty kid climbing out the window while biting a toast..  (rtn naruto pic)

 

it was a good drawing of kishi's standard, but there really is no meaning in it other than "paralle!!!" like any other sasuke/naruto pictures, i feel. the mk picture is full of sunshine and in-character, while grown-up naruto was never meant to be the strict, loud, scary parent like kushina was. his carefree personality in the manga is forcibly changed to fit the drawing.. which is a real pity.

I saw that picture. It's ugly. They're trying to make Hinata out to be Minato which is just dumb. See what NH does to you? It completely twists around everything the manga ever said.

it's cool to see kishi's new illustration, but other than that.. there's really not much to say save the well-deserved criticism.

 

i feel that the implied mk-parallel-ns in manga is just too heavy for anybody to take forced mk-parallel-nh seriously.
