I still ship NaruSaku.  We were not delusional, it was kittening there!!! 

Kishimoto just loved Sasuke so much, he made the main character give up his girl to him.  Naruto got a consolation prize.

700 was like a different manga. Too different that i could not recognize the characters. There was no connection. 

700 was eerily similar to 615. Every character appeared totally OOC. Neji had to die in 615! I guess that's the price which has to be paid whenever Hinata is forcibly made relevant to the story. Sad.

I still can't comprehend it, how does NH/SS make Kishi more money? I mean clearly SS wouldn't be happy, regardless of the ending SS is almost non-existent, I mean Sasuke seems like he's rarely home at all. I just can't comprehend it.

Lol those were good times. I was one of the main guys over there. Glad to see it was for nothing.

This ending is going to haunt me for years. It's at least going weigh heavily on my mind for weeks. I hate that.
 
I suppose we'll always have fan fiction. I was working on a piece already, it's about 6-7k words and takes place 19 years later (lol). It was supposed to commemorate the ending of Naruto, but now, now it's just my way of coping. I don't think I can ever read the manga again or even watch the anime. I'm just done with it all.

Yeah, same here. It's gonna haunt me for a long time. I'll never be able to watch/read the series again.

I knew Kishimoto was switching gears in Ch. 615.  When Naruto saved Hinata from the Zetsus before, it could have been counted as fanservice.  Bit Hinata stopping Naruto from joining Obito was too major.

He probably thought she was a better choice for him than Sakura.

Then why Naruto telling his dad that Sakura was his girlfriend right after that?

Kishimoto can set the ending but can't control the feelings of the characters. (well, except for Sakura's )

dont let the manga asspull stain the relationship of narusaku. 2 ass pull chapters made alot the characters look bad not only sakura.

Nothing is staining Narusaku for me, but it sure as hell stains my opinion of individuals who wanna be like "BUT NARUDO DESERVED HER LUUUV! SHE FRIEND ZONED HIM AND USED HIM LIKE A GOLD DIGGING WHORE!" because that's pretty much what they're saying because she didn't return his love even though he never had the balls to OUTRIGHT tell her how he felt.

Naruto clearly didn't give a big enough kitten about advancing their relationship.

Again, it seems to me that Naruto shares the blame in stagnating his relationship as well. He basically committed relationship suicide. If you blame Sakura you HAVE to blame Naruto otherwise we're being sexist.

Just thought I'd repost this for anyone that wants to find some happiness out of all of this and look at the situation logically:


Come on guys, you know darn well this isn't what Kishi was planning. We've got scenes from the War arc like:
-Sakura's fake smile for Sasuke returning.
-When Naruto's dying, Sakura doesn't mention, or even think of Sasuke once. Even when Madara, Obito, and Black Zetsu are all standing in front of her, never once does she think "Wait, if they're all here and Naruto's unconscious, where's Sasuke?".
-Sasuke willing to cut her in half to get to Madara.
-Sasuke calling her useless (again).
-Sasuke saying he couldn't care less if she died.
-Sakura looking sad when Sasuke says it, yet looking like she just got slapped when Naruto started to agree.
-Sasuke not even trying to save her or Kakashi from the lava.
-Sasuke straight out saying "You want me to play at romance? I have no reason to like her and she has no reason to like me.".
-That being followed up by Kakashi saying "Sakura's not trying or wanting to make you her's! She only wants to save you!". Along with his previously statement saying that her feeling were different than before (before being when she confessed she was in love with him back in Part 1).
-Sasuke saying multiple times (both to Naruto and in his own mind) that Naruto is his only friend, the only person he has a bond with, and that if he kills him he'll be all alone.
SS literally couldn't be shown anymore dead than that. And from Naruto we've got:
-Girlfriend comment.
-Saying his love life wasn't going good but he was still trying (yet in 699/700 he completely gives up and doesn't mention it once). Clearly if he loved Hinata he wouldn't be having problems considering she's obsessed with him.
-A recent Databook Kishi worked on that says Naruto still loves Sakura.
Yet in the epilogue NH/SS magically happen out of nowhere. Yet along with that he heavily messes with the characters, makes it seems stupid, and even leaves NS/SK hints:
-Makes ChojixKarui (who have never even been shown to have met or have anything in common) canon just so he can make there weird daughter.
-Make Sai's kid look like some freaky alien.
-Make Naruto's kids (especially the daughter look odd).
-Makes Anko fat (WTH?)
-Has Naruto of all people make his son feel lonely and neglected, and then basically tells him to get over it and suck it up.
-Has most people in the epilogue seem unhappy or depressed.
-Makes Sakura look more like Kushina than ever (makes her the same height and gives her her bangs in "The Last" and even gives her the hair clip in the epilouge).
-Makes SS's kid look like Karin.
Now match all of that up with his interview saying he had to "accept" the ending, that it brought him "sorrowful" feeling, and "Nevertheless, I'm able to speak clearly.".
It seems pretty darn obvious that SP (who are making the movie with him) and whoever the heck is making Part 3 wanted to continue from a NH/SS ending and forced him into it. Yet even so, he still continued to write it the way he wanted to up until 698, and then purposefully made the NH/SS epilogue overly disappointing and ridiculous to show the fans that it's not the way he wanted it to go.
Just to be clear, I'm not one of the people trying to say there's still hope for a NS ending or something like that. I'm simply saying that the NH/SS ending we did get is something Kishi had to "accept" that made him feel disappointed.
What I'm trying to say is that Kishi was pushed or forced into making a NH/SS ending that he didn't like, then purposefully made it overly ridiculous with NS/SK hints in it. From that, logic, and the first 698 chapters of the manga itself make it clear that NS was intended to be end game but was forcibly changed for the ending. Therefore you should consider 699/700 as non canon, consider 698 as the last chapter, and make your own assumption from there based on the manga and that fact that Kishi had to "sorrowfully" "accept" a NH/SS ending and even then made it depressing and added NS/SK hints to it. It's clear that the official ending and the ending Kishi intended are two completely different things.

And Sakura.....did not even thank Naruto, did she? She did not even acknowledge the POaL and everything that Naruto had done for her happiness. Instead she was busy fangirling about Sasuke-kooon and planning on leaving Naruto and Konoha to go on a journey with her 'love'.  

 

Even Kakashi acknowledged Naruto. Sakura did not so much as mention his name! 

 

What on Earth was Kishimoto thinking when he wrote this crap?!

Excellent comment.  I have run out of likes but this was too good to say something.  The ending section was indeed like something entirely different.

 

 

Kishimoto could've at least gave an explanation to how Naruto moved on.  He just jumps to Hinata with kids.  If I was an NH fan, I'd feel a tad cheated (though I know most don't care).  I knew a few NaruHina fans/Sakura haters who quit reading Naruto because they truly believed NaruSaku was going to happen.  What a pleasant surprise they must've had!

If Naruto had been meant for Hinata, there wouldn't have been such an intense pairing war.

The only thing we have is that it was Sakura choosing Sasuke, not Naruto choosing Hinata.  Still, it's not good enough to make up for NS being destroyed by NH/SS tagteam with kids.

I could handle one pairing, but BOTH?!

 

 

closure is what everyone needs. even NH and SS needs NS closure for it to come into a full circle..

 

 

My NH/SS shipper friends tagged me in FB with a link about the spoiler and they were all teasing me to treat them to the buffet we love because "i lost " (because i join NS and left NH/SS). They flood it with teasing comments, and even if i read it all i did not respond at all.

 

But after reading the actual chap 700, they said sorry and deleted the post.

We will still go to that buffet but we are going to pay for ourselves.

I was already at the point where Naruto was damn well near unreadable for me BEFORE NS got kitten slapped by him. NS was my consolation prize for the wasted time, the ruined story line, the eye strain and brain cramps...

I don't care about his excuses for not making NS, because whats his excuse for the other BS?

@ catwho I was thinking the same thing. Kishi would troll those who got his work illegally by making the worst ending in history.

I will never forgive Kishi for the amount of disrespect he showed Sakura. It terrible, Ooc, and completely forced. No one got a proper resolution, besides narusasu. NS, Nh, and Ss got kittened over.

I don't blame people who can't accept this ending, because it is atrocious down to the very last page.
