As of right now, he'll probably be out of it for a while. I think he still has his skills in general, because he was already strong without the Sharingan. Now that it's gone, he's pretty much lost the one huge advantage that he had over his opponents. I feel like he probably will be Hokage though. Obito telling him that he wants him to be the 6th Hokage, and the Sage of Six Paths praising him for being a great leader just kinda foreshadows it all for me.

I see your point. But let me just add that I didn't see any particular leadership skills that stood out to me. I don't think appointing Sasuke as commander of team 7 is good judgement on his part.

True. Naruto did more work than Sasuke anyway, so he wasn't the best choice for a leader. Kakashi did at least help out at the end. Granted, he did need an asspull to do it, and even though I really liked him getting the Perfect Susanoo, he still shouldn't have been able to get it.

Kakashi has almost died multiple times as well and was saved by Naruto plenty of times. She still has plenty of fight left in her and she has not even reached Sarutobi's age yet. Let's wait and see what the current hokage does before we automatically label Kakashi as the hokage.

Actually, you're forgetting the fact that in those instances, she has used her Byakugo seal and auto-regeneration more times than she can count on her hand, so if she retires at the end, it makes sense because by now, her lifespan only has a few years to live, even with her Senju-Uzumaki lineage.

Yamato would likely go back to Anbu, Kakashi would need a personal guard. Besides it would be too wierd, the clone of the person who Naruto is the kinda reincarnation of...kinda blows your mind....lol Ok I'm being honest I completely forgot about him. Though I don't think he would be the new sensie, his primary purpose was to make sure Naruto doesn't lose control of the nine tails and that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Lol. Well, actually, he was there for many times in Part 2, not just help Naruto not to go out of control. In fact, he's with Naruto just as much as Kakashi, or maybe just barely. Plus, if Kakashi becomes Hokage, order around, I can see Yamato being position to stay in Team 7 as a permanent guy. Sai is permanent, so now, maybe Yamato can be too. I mean Naruto and others already know him well enough, so why not. He does have a character of his own. Plus it's probably the only chance to see "Hashirama" battle style in the current generation. I don't know if spiral Zetsu gave him huge boost, but the stuff he did against the Alliance was pretty scary. So, to me, I'm all in for him to replace Kakashi. But you never know, right.

Even if you're right about her lifespan I still believe she'll be a very productive hokage. The fact that she survived being cut in half by Madara speaks volumes about her durability. And even as she was split in half, she prioritizes the other kages over herself. She looked fine to when she teamed up with Sakura. And even if she does retire, I still think Naruto becoming Hokage next makes much more sense than Kakashi.

Don't forget Naruhina. But still it doesn't matter. Sasuke is part of the original Team 7 so it's bound to happen that he might return back to his old team.

Yeah but Saratobi DID retire when he was her age, but the pesky successor went and got himself killed. Besides it's time Kakashi became Hokage, he's not even that useful on the battlefield anymore, we saw how he twiddled him thumbs like a git when he no longer had his Sharingan to fall back on. His two claims to fame is his ability to copy other peoples Jutsu using the Sharingan, and his one original Jutsu the Chidori. He no longer has the first and he needs the first for the second one to be effective...His Jutsu has basically a convenient flaw that his future Uchiha student would end up inheriting and make his own...who also conveniently is the only known Uchiha with a Lightning Affinity.

 

Tsunade also never didn't actually want to be Hokage, we saw it in her dream world that Dan was Hokage instead of her, she became Hokage because it was the dream of the two people she loved the most, (which also happens to he the same reason Kakashi would choose to be Hokage, for Obito's dream) she can retire now knowing the will of fire will live on, and unlike Kakashi Tsunade also used her seal multiple times, and we know that actually chips away at her life each time she uses it, the only reason she hasn't died from overuse is probably due to her Senju/Uzumaki heritage.

 

As for labelling Kakashi Hokage he was the first choice when Tsunade fell into a coma, and if Tsunade does quit, he would be the first choice until Naruto is ready,

 

Besides this is just speculation, I just find it interesting that Narutos new outfit just so happens to coincide with the Chinese Martial arts inprired look of Team Gai, and had one of his hands bandages similar to Rock Lee
