Wouldn't have mattered since I got cranked, but it does make Seattle that much more appealing than Carolina as my back-up defense.

Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0, 2-1) 111.10
Tokyo Raiders(roninmedia, 3-0) 129.15
-This just in: Darren McFadden decided to be good this year. Michael Vick makes DeSean Jackson MUCH much better. Cowboys/Texans game, I am disappoint.
Konoha Shinobi (Sir Whirly, 1-2) 80.85
The Golden Thumbs (Rick, 3-0) 111.35
-Peyton Manning. Not only does he throw 3 TDs while cooking Lobster Bisque and polishing his monocle smile, he slices, dices, and juliennes! David Garrard? He can count to five before tripping over his own feet.
Zatties! (Zatren, 2-1)134.25
Fire the fatman PLZ (Illmatic, 2-1) 107.95
-Michael Vick makes Jeremy Maclin not bad either. Or was that the Jacksonville D? Z laid a constantly steady stream of certified whoop-@ss, as only two of his players didn't score in double digits this week and one was the kicker.
Fumbles (Nate River, 3-0) 99.10
Paradoxes (Paradox Jast, 0-3) 65.00
-Washington, WTF? Adrian Peterson and Tom Brady were great, McNabb was good, and everyone else was meh. Bad news for Nate: AP is on bye Week 4. Good news for Nate: That might mean I'm picking against him again!
The Generals (Nuclear Raven, 1-2) 77.45
Kick Me (Nee-sama, 0-3) 75.50
-There were some stinker points on both sides, but if Green Bay didn't have 123089712 penalties and James Jones' boneheaded blunder, it's not hard to imagine Nee-sama wins this. Um, I'm just gonna leave this here. You tell me when you wanna give it back, 'k?
/drops off "Kick to the Groin" Award.
True Miracles (True, 0-3) 98.30
FALSE MIRACLES (Mik3, 2-1) 115.65
-True: Flacco, Boldin, Moss, great. Everyone else blah. Commish: Gore and Gonzalez good, everyone else meh, but-MIKEVICKMIKEVICKMIKEVICK.
Dark Wulves (Burning_wulf, 2-1) 124.05
Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish, 0-3) 84.95
-Brett, you just had to prove me wrong, didn't you? Of course, it didn't help that Philip Rivers threw for 455 yards against Seattle and the Steelers D beat the crap out of Tampa Bay.
(For the younger readers, a "record store" was a building that you had to go to when you wanted to buy music.)

I couldn't believe that Yahoo was predicting only about 17 points for Pitt's D.
It'll be an interesting week for me. Half of my original team is on their bye week and my star running back (meaning the only one that's been getting any points) might be out with an injury.

My runningback tandem will be a wasteland this week. AP on bye and Moreno unlikely to play (and Winslow on a bye as well, so there's Lewis and the putrid Jacksonville passing game). I've got BenJervis and Buckhalter starting. I'm so screwed. Save me, Tom!
EDIT: Okay, now Lynch and Green-Ellis. Still screwed.

Nuts. I dropped Lynch by accident and it wouldn't let me pick him back up so I took Leon Washington instead. He'll probably get as many yards as Stewart (0), but he has a chance at a return. More importantly, he's a FSU guy. If I'm going to lose anyway, might as well take players that I like.

Like a misclick? I thought he was one of weaker links you wanted rid of, but was superior to anything I had at the moment. Well, you did pick up Gaffney, who I booted (and should not have (Sims-Walker would have been better as sorry as Jacksonville's passing game has been)) to make room for my RB by committee. I have 4 of them on the roster because or Moreno's hamstring.
I was desperate to save myself from Buckhalter.
EDIT: Anyway, was it a misclick? If it was a mistake like me dropping Gaffney (I meant to do it, just shouldn't have) then I'm keeping him. If you accidently chose the wrong player by misclicking or something, then I'd be willing to trade Lynch to you for Buckhalter if you pick him up. I'd rather have Lynch, but I'd hate to have him this way.

For a third straight week, ah coffee. My picks emboldenededed. ed.
Konoha Shinobi (Sir Whirly, 1-2) vs. Fumbles (Nate River, 3-0)
-Konoha Shinobi favored by ~18.
And we start with an upset pick. I'm basically throwing out all the projections for this game. It's CHRISJOHNSON!!! vs. Tom Brady and a gut feeling that the supporting cast will step up for Nate more than for Sir Whirly. So, double dose of bad news for Shriner-dood: AP's on bye and I'm picking him to win! He's doomed. XD
Zatties! (Zatren6, 2-1) vs. The Golden Thumbs (Rick, 3-0)
-The Golden Thumbs favored by ~9.5.
Peyton's still here, and I just like the RBs for the Aussie more than I do Z's. I still can't get around how relevant LaDanian has been this season.
Fire the Fatman PLZ (Illmatic, 2-1) vs. Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish, 0-3)
-Fire the Fatman PLZ favored by ~3
Small upset here, and I'm actually going against my first thought by picking Nick to get his first win. Both Steven Jackson and Jahvid Best are hurt and SJax is normally the better play, especially with the Lions up against a tough Packers D. But of all things, I feel the Baltimore Defense is due for another meh game.
The Generals (Nuclear Raven, 1-2) vs. Paradoxes (Paradox Jast, 0-3)
-The Generals favored by ~1
Ugh. That's a lot 2-6 point projections I'm seeing here, so who knows? Flipping a coin... tails. Paradoxes it is. If we didn't have fractional points I would have strongly considered picking a tie.
True Miracles (True, 0-3) vs. Kick Me (Nee-sama, 0-3)
-Kick Me favored by ~37
Well, at least one of them is off the scheid this week. Sorry True, might need to channel someone else besides Mike Singletary next time.
Dark Wulves (Burning_wulf, 2-1) vs. Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia, 3-0)
-Tokyo Raiders favored by ~16
Philip Rivers can't do it by himself, and I doubt the Steelers D will put up 25+ points. roninmedia owes Mike Martz and Michael Vick Christmas cards for what they've done for his team (Cutler, Jackson, Forte).
Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0, 2-1) vs. Green Men (Mik3, 2-1)
-Green Men favored by ~3.5
Andre Johnson may not play, but he traditionally has a hard time against Oakland. I don't know why Malcom Floyd is always projected for 4 points, but I need him to step up and for Green Bay to go up big against Detroit, which means garbage time points for Shaun Hill. If I were a betting man looking in from the outside I'd probably roll with the Commish's team, but....

Last week: 3-4 (ow.)

It's worse than that. Moreno's still out. So both my starting RB's are out. Winslow's on a bye, so I'm stuck with the Jacksonville passing game (which is why Sims-Walker is being benched). I like Mike, but their passing game just plain sucks right now. I had to boot Hartley after Payton refused to commit to a Kicker when Hartley missed at close range.
Whirly had to bench Pierre Thomas five minutes ago (yay for me) and he has David Garrard as his QB (also ya for me and he should only be allowed to pass to Lewis this week). So, yeah. Who knows. I always think I'll win, but this one is a toss up.

Right now I'd say the Commish would probably get it based on MIKEVICK going down, but we'll see what happens tonight.

I think I should get. I lose by less than 3 under the following circumstances:
After coughing up 30+ points two weeks in a row I bench the Giants defense in favor of the Bears defense and the Giants completely dominate Chicago. Had I not done this I win.
I ditch the seldom used Buckhalter in favor of Lynch when Nick accidently lets him go. Lynch rushes 4 times for 8 yards and loses a fumble earning me a -3.80. More the different of my loss. I'd have won had I started nobody in his place.
The Patriots score 41 points, but Brady only throws for 150 yards and 1 TD, while more than half those points come from defense/special teams (including to FG's), pluts 13 points for NE's kicker, who Whirly just so happens to have. Brady had slight more than 14 points.
Mario Manningham vanished.
David Garrad, after stinking up the joint for two weeks in a row including a game he was benched for tossing 4 picks and throwing for almost nothing in the other, suddenly shows up with 2 td passes and a TD run against the undefeated Colts. Garrard completely outpeformed Brady.

Week 4 Quick Recap
Konoha Shinobi (2-2) 91.15
Fumbles (3-1) 88.55
-Read Nate's post - that about covers it.
Zatties! (2-2) 77.35
The Golden Thumbs (4-0) 132.10
-Peyton Manning's line: 352 yds, 2 TDs, 1 INT. And this is his WORST game so far this year. In addition LT continues to show everyone reports of his demise are greatly exaggerated and Antonio Gates continues to catch TDs. It's what he does.
Fire the fatman PLZ (3-1) 101.45
Leatherbacks (0-4) 64.95
-Okay, this gut call didn't turn out so well. Next time I'll take more time and determine if this gut feeling is really indigestion.
The Generals (2-2) 89.80
Paradoxes (0-4) 70.45
-I could point at the Titans' D with the 6 sacks and the return TD, but MJD carved his way through a soft Indy D and Paradoxes' RBs just didn't come through. The Steelers and Titans aren't friendly to RBs, but 2.40 points combined from Ray Rice and Laurence Maroney?
True Miracles (0-4) 45.85
Kick Me (1-3) 136.95
-So you know, Nee-sama has the 4th highest point total in the league and is 1-3. I still think she makes the playoffs. True... eh.
Dark Wulves (3-1) 87.25
Tokyo Raiders (3-1) 35.30
-And yet here's a team True could have beaten this week. Boy, I didn't realize how much roninmedia's team seems to depend on Cutler and MIKEVICK. That CHI/NYG game... ugly, ugly, ugly.
Sparky McRandomsons (3-1) 112.05
Green Men (2-2) 96.15
-That crunching sound you heard when MIKEVICK got sandwiched? That was the Commish's hopes of winning getting sucker-punched. But I will admit to almost frothing at the mouth when Arian Foster didn't appear in the first quarter. And I knew Arizona's offense would be bad, but not this bad.
Pick record this week: 3-4 D:
Season to date: 16-12

Also tee-hee that's a Texas player getting kicked. Appropriate this year!

In honor of my first kick to groin, which really felt like multiple kicks over the course of two days. With the boneheaded substitutions I made, I feel like the guy whose punching himself.

Mistake, not a mis-click. I didn't realize that I still had Sproles and since most of my team was on its bye (including Rice who's been inactive anyway), it was a choice between dropping him or Stewart and I haven't quite given up on him yet.
But thanks for the offer. Sorry that I didn't get back with you earlier to potentially spare you his -3.8 points, but I was at the beach last weekend.
Leatherbacks (0-4) 64.95

Typing with one hand, sipping coffee with the other. Oh yeaaaaah~
Konoha Shinobi (Sir Whirly, 2-2) vs. The Generals (Nuclear Raven, 2-2)
-The Generals favored by ~11
Injuries and byes ahoy! Siding with The Generals, as Nuclear Raven's team has less holes to fill this week.
Zatties! (Zatren6, 2-2) vs. Fumbles (Nate River, 3-1)
-Zatties! favored by ~3.5
Such a toss-up match. Brees hasn't yet regained his form from last year, although that might be a function of the team around him right now. How does Randy Moss affect stacking the box against All-Day, especially since Revis has always traditionally done well against him? Because of the little things (picking any specific Broncos WR to do well is folly, especially against Baltimore; Bradshaw will likely play but is banged up)....
Sorry Nate, I'm picking you again.
Fire the Fatman PLZ (Illmatic, 3-1) vs. The Golden Thumbs (Rick, 4-0)
-The Golden Thumbs favored by ~3.5
Close projection. But the Aussie gets my vote because Antonio Gates is playing at such a crazy-high level right now.
True Miracles (True, 0-4) vs. Paradoxes (Paradox Jast, 0-4)
-Paradoxes favored by ~12
Well, someone has to win this, right? Despite the fact that I don't think Donovan will have a great day today against the Pack, Ray Rice should be enough to bring victory.
Dark Wulves (Burning_wulf, 3-1) vs. Green Men (Mik3, 2-2)
-Green Men favored by ~9.5
Dexter McCluster and Nate Washington just don't do it for me, while Sam Bradford has looked better than advertised. Siding with the Rams QB and the steady duo of Frank Gore and DeAngelo Williams.
Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia, 3-1) vs. Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish, 0-4)
-Leatherbacks favored by ~1
Of roninmedia's three WRs (Larry Fitzgerald, DeSean Jackson, Kevin Walter) it wouldn't surprise me if Walter was the highest scorer this week, with Kolb hurting Jackson's fantasy value and the Arizona offense being a complete zoo this year. However, I'm seeing too many Questionable players and unpleasant matchups on Nick's side to choose them.
Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0, 3-1) vs. Kick Me (Nee-sama. 1-3)
-Sparky McRandomsons favored by ~.5
It's been this kind of year for Nee-sama; she has the 2nd highest point projection for the week - and she's facing off against the highest point projection. All the extra injury designations help my cause (and is why I'm picking myself), but I wouldn't be surprised to see Zach Miller light the scoreboard (and me) up.
Along those lines, please play, Andre Johnson. Pleeeease.
