Don't worry we (The Bleach Fandom) are very forgiving and open up our arms to all sorts of fans!

No need to start a fight guys. Here have some Soul candy from Rukia-chan!

Ed you don't need to worry about Orihime dieing as anyone who has read Bleach knows that no one dies in Bleach. The good guys will never die and especially not a main character such as Orihime. Basic Shounen + Bleach logic = Orihime will live.

I agree. Orihime is too important to the plot to be taken out right now. I mean, yeah, we had LOTS of near deaths (Ichigo actually getting impaled in the chest by Ulquiorra's hand for crying out loud and technically dying...again...), but Kubo manages to keep the series going with everyone staying alive aside from side characters.

I got to admit...I even find that hard to do. Yet he's done it. Although...I freaked out when Rukia was nearly killed in Hueco Mundo. Man...still bothers me today.

Interesting clashing of swords between Ichigo and Ulquiorra and Orihime being useful?! And those two Arrancar girls seem to be plotting something as well. Dear God Kubo what have you done!?!

The remarks made by Ichigo I think holds an interesting point.

Ulquiorra after spending lots of time with Orihime has began to understand the other species and feel human 'emotions'. She has opened him up from his shell and I feel as if we will get a flashback of of an incident in his life where he was like "My life is filled with so much despair" and he cut himself off from having any emotions. But now after spending time with Orihime she has been able to show that even with the situation she has been placed in she was able to remain strong willed and still hold onto her emotions. It's a trait that he admires and he is willing to hold more time with her in order to feel more 'human'.

Now I think Ichigo is taking the opposite track. He's basically becoming more hollow. We see how he previously stated that he fights to protect his friends, but after numerous encounters he has become more blood thirsty. He craves fighting for the thrill of it and when he puts on his Vizard mask is inner warrior is unleashed.

Notice when Ichigo has his first real fight with his hollow mask against Grimmjow he becomes more ruthless and eagerly wanting to fight.

Also he smiled right before fighting Ulquiorra.

Ichigo smiling!? Why is he smiling when he's about to fight his strongest opponent yet?! He has never done so in any of his previous fights which he was always serious about. But this time he actually wants to fight. He's looking forward to it. He's becoming more of a hollow after using his hollow mask and is embracing his Vizard powers. I think its a great change.

So far this fight has proven to be quite good. Ichigo has shown tact and skill and looks to be developing well as a fighter. Ulquiorra now realizing his opponent has improved is now going to step up in his skills as well.

I can see Menoli and Loli playing a part in capturing Orihime or something and this causes a stir with Ulquiorra who stops them Omg IchiHime moment!?! showing he cares for Orihime and becoming more 'human, while Ichigo who doesn't really care about hostages (he never has in his fights) will be all kitten it and ready to kick Ulquiorra's ass when he puts on his mask.

Looking forward to it!

You know, now that you mention it, Ichigo HAS changed a bit in regards to his fighting and reasons for doing so. It reminds me of when he and Hollow Ichigo fought during Ichigo's Vizard transformation.

Chapter 220- page 12 King and His Horse

Chapter 220 - page 13 King and His Horse

Makes you wonder just what is running through Ichigo's mind now. I'm starting to think that Ichigo is indeed become a 'darker' hero as some would put it. Fighting for his own morals and stuff now, and as Hollow Ichigo put it, "The one thing needed to become a king is a fervent desire for battle and for strength!"

This may very well be the point where the others will have to intervene. Ichigo may very well become his worst enemy!

The fight has begun, what Ichigo was saying about Ulquiorra becoming more human was rather interesting, I wonder how Orihime is going to be of significance within this fight. And, oh boy, the kittenes are back! Cat fight anyone?

LOVED the chapter. Its definitely what an UlquiHime fan like myself has been looking for *sparkle* I even got an added bonus of Orihime fighting back! Go Hime!

Ulquiorra threw quite a tantrum when Ichigo called him out XD I actually read somewhere that the true translation actually has Ichigo saying that Ulquiorra is coming more like 'himself' (Ichigo), rather than just calling him 'more human', but either way, it's an interesting change that Ulquiorra really doesn't want to admit to.

And Orihime defending Ichigo?? I'm curious how she could follow Ulquiorra's moves when Ichigo couldn't, but way to go Hime-chan! The look on her face at the end is just so..gah, awesome. She seems so determined and yet she seems to be pleading for him to stop. Its amazing how a great understanding has developed between the two in such a short time. I'd like to say that Ulquiorra even looks sad as he is glancing at her, but I think that's a stretch XD;; I'm still going to hold hope that Ulquiorra will defend her against Loli and Melony in the near future ;D

The latest chapter simply amused me. We've had a few panels of Ulqiorra overpowering Ichigo... and it was Orihime who actually caught up to the movements of the hollow. Quite ironic, considering she was the one who got captured. Perhaps Ulqiorra really is becoming more human. Who knows?

Speaking of which, Ichigo's gotta step up soon. Playing around really won't get him anywhere.

And to the comments above about how Orihime won't die, I say damn straight. Let's not even begin with logic here. Think of the fans. They'll maul Kubo. That itself, is classified as 'enough said'.
You try to know everything , yet in the end, you truly understand nothing ....

Personally, I'm just glad to see the manga is getting BACK slowly to what it was originally, since I've felt most of this arc has been a crock due to the fact fights haven't been as exciting as they were in the Soul Society arc, especially considering if this is the last arc of the series for one. I also am concerned about Ichigo since I assume Hollow Ichigo is trying to grasp control thanks to the environment of Hueco Mundo, or Ichigo just not relying so much on his own power.

And I got this feeling perhaps that Rukia doesn't think that Ichigo'll be able to handle anything in this arc, even if he's been genuinely worried about her because of seeing her almost die twice. Only reason I stay on Bleach is to see how it'll go, AND to see if it'll get better and more dramatic, considering Naruto has been able to do that of late.

OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH --Click here to view--

OH kitten YAMMI IS BACK!?! Kubo didn't forget about his characters! And what took him so long to finally come back? Because he lol overslept :cookie:

And seriously Orhime getting raped by Loly!? Damn Kubo how much abuse must you put her through before you've had enough? And throwing in Yammi into the mix?? The guy who hates females on the level of Nnotira?? Oh God I can only imagine the lulz with all the females in this room.

Ichigo shows nice tact by loading up the Getsuga onto his sword, but he wants to throw it at Loly who is holding Orihime right next to her? Does he want to kill Orihime as well? Maybe he is getting her out of the way and if he just kills her by accident he'll be all 'lol whoops kitten happens!' <-- which however would make sense with the chapter title being about "Greed" and Ichigo doesn't want anything to interrupt his fight so he recklessly saves his friend even without realizing he could harm her with his attack.

Seriously Ulquiorra looks more concerned for Orihime then anything. Just look at his face and the strained focus he has on it. He actually saved her considering Ichigo was going to kill all of them with his Getsuga, yet he came in right at the nick of time. I don't know how blatant Kubo can make it; UlquiHime is becoming damn canon.

Now just next week I wonder how Yammi will play into the mix. No way Ichigo can handle him as well as Ulquiorra. My guess is Ishida who has been strangely missing is going to come in and fight Yammi.

How many 'Kurosaki-kun' will we get in this fight? I'm going for....30! I hope someone tapes her mouth over plz or we get Ichigo's other friends come in so we can see their reactions instead.

Also note how chapters are named after the seven deadly sins. Last one was "The Envy" and now is "The Greed" and they all relate to the chapter. I wonder how Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Wrath, and Pride will play into this.

Half my post is meant to be serious the other half is all done for lulz

Ichigo was really starting to lose it in the last pane on page 17. It would seem that he is becoming more and more like his hollow persona. Especially given his aforementioned reaction on page 17 and the notion that he attempted to save Orihime by annihilating her with a Getsuga Tensho facepalm.png .

I suspect that when the inevitable occurs and Ichigo once again dons the mask, whatever that has been subtly influencing the personality changes will play a significant role in surviving (read: victory) his battle with Ulquiorra.

Nice point about the seven deadly sins. I had totally missed the title of last two chapters lol. With the point you made about the subtext of greed, it will be interesting to see which characters are related to each possible theme. On the surface, the last chapter title could have easily been refering to Loly's and Meloni's plot to get rid of Orihime. This chapter, could it be that Ichigo is taking a page out of Kenpachi's book and trying to prolong the fight as much as possible? He knows that he cannot win with just his Bankai, regardless of now being able to read Ulquiorra's movements. Why this course of action if not to facilitate some desire to keep fighting? headscratch.gif

I'm actually starting to find myself hoping that Ulquiorra does something about this fight; like end it soon. Ichigo seems to be fighting with both reckless abandon and prowess of a true shinigami. A deadly combination.

The one thing that really got me was this right here:

On the bottom left panel

I stand firm on my theory that Hollow Ichigo is starting to show in Ichigo. Look at him; Ichigo looks like a psycho! wow.gif I can only imagine what else will happen before this fight comes to a close.

On a sidenote, I'm starting to have suspicions with Orihime. I mean...she could just be hesitant to help...but Ulquiorra did bring up a point with not helping Ichigo sooner. Maybe there is more to her than we're seeing here. Hmmmm....darn you Kubo, you sly genius, you.

Wait a sec' If Ichigo is becoming more like Hollow Ichigo, maybe Hollow Ichigo is becoming more like ICHIGO. We might get this weird arc where Ichigo fuses with his hollow self and unleashes super hollow mode or something
