Mushishi - 9/10

 

I'm 6 episodes into the second season by now, and the show just keeps mystifying me. Easily the most beautiful show I've ever seen. Also, both of its OPs are gorgeous.

Baby Steps - 9/10

 

First Shounen i've dared to watch/read. Not really a tennis fan (i don't know anything about tennis at all) but managed to get into this series as its really informative and interesting.

Romance is minimal but very well written.

Shigatsu wa Kmi no Uso 10/10

 

I'm a sucker for music animes so I decided to check out this show which began airing last season. It's the only one I kept up with and I can honestly say it's one of my favorites. Even if you're not in it for the amazing soundtrack (classical), the story and grade A animation make it a show worth watching. I don't really want to spoil anything but the show will leave you looking a little like this

Wolf's Rain -- 8/10; I thought its' premise was unique and well done. Solid characters, good story. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

 

Code:Breaker -- 5/10; Kind of a waste of time, it felt like a much bigger storyline stuffed into twelve episodes and I found it bland. Nothing particularly outstanding about the characters or the plot. The rating is actually rather generous, I'm not sure its' even worth that.

Death Parade: 9/10; Another masterpiece done by MadHouse. I feel so empty now after I've bingewatched 12 episodes. The anime basically revolves around the afterlife of people whose souls are sent to a place where arbiters pass on judgement where these souls will go next. Initially, these souls do not remember that they have died, and slowly but gradually regain their memories in the last moments. Some people might have an issue with how this anime deals with the concept of divine judgement though. Other than that, gorgeous animation and beautiful music.

I wasn't sure about the show for a while, but those last 4 episodes (technically the OVA episodes) were just...perfect. Left me completely speechless. Talk about an ending making a series.

That's pretty much how I felt. I wasn't real sure how I felt towards it for a bit, but those last few episodes were the real clincher. They made all the rest feel worthwhile.

Imao, yeah, I think the majority loved the anime to Attack on Titan XD Definitely best anime of 2013.

EDIT: 2016- season 2. Seriously, do you know how long many of us have been waiting?!
