Nope, there's more. Apparently, Cannon Spike's damage is greatly toned down as well because many people complained that Cammy was too powerful in original SF4... dry.gif (which she wasn't actually, Sagat and Zangief are the powerhouses).

Oh boy. If people are complaining about Cannon Spike, then why don't they stop trying to jump in with a flying kick all the time? They're just asking for Cammy's boot in their face... sleep.gif; I just hope the rest of her game has been balanced better (ESPECIALLY the "Quick" Spin Knuckle).

I know. Because many people don't realize Cannon Spike is kick version-Shoryuken. She basically play like Ryu/Ken/Akuma etc. in terms of commands but she does have weaknesses. I never heard the people I play (well maybe 1 or two because I used her alot) against complain about her.

That will be awesome! I'd better be the one with the Delta Red outfit biggrin.gif

Of course, that's no problem! I like her alternative costume better, so everything works out OK. XD

Here's a post at Shoryuken with the anime intros for most of the new characters (DeeJay is missing). The anime cutscenes are basically just still pictures, but I suppose they did have to produce them all in a very short amount of time.

Why not? XD Hmm, I wonder if 3v3 would mean only one match, since we can only have up to 8 players in a lobby?

Just did a little more digging and found out that Capcom will release a more advanced tournament mode as DLC soon after the release of SSF4. smile.gif Not sure if it'll be free or paid, but we'll find out.

Got the SSF4 last night. Fought a Cody player and wasn't used to his attacks and got owned. Looks like there is gonna be a learning curve fighting the new characters.

Well hope to see some of you guys online sometime.

I realise this question has been asked ages ago, and you most likely already know, but I'll answer! The DLC costumes for the original Street Fighter 4 are already included (and unlocked) on the Super SF4 disc, regardless of whether you originally bought them or not.

The only bonus for owners of SF4 is two extra "colours" - an ink effect and a pencil effect. The ink one looks cool. smile.gif To get those, SSF4 needs to detect a SF4 savegame on your hard drive. So if you want the extra effects but don't have the original game, just rent/borrow a copy of SF4 and play it a bit so you get your savegame. Colours unlocked!

With all that said, is anyone up for a SF4/SSF4 meet this weekend? biggrin.gif I'll be on Saturday afternoon/evening, and maybe other times this weekend, depending on what crops up. We could play some Endless Battle, maybe even Team Battle if enough guys show up.

SSF4 is excellent, but I'm still getting back up to speed. Cammy feels sharper and better, and I like the feel of Cody's fighting style. smile.gif But I'll just stick with Cammy until I'm good enough with her to take Cody on as an alt.

Let me know when you intend on playing. I'm in the EST zone. I'm gonna be out most of the evening but might be around in the early afternoon. Just let me know. I still use Guile but I am rusty. I've been using Juri alot and like her but she does have quite a few weaknesses. Really need to practice her timing.

Well let me know when you will on maybe we'll get a game going.

Well, I'm in the BST zone (GMT +1), so I think that's 6 hours difference between us? I definitely won't be on at 6-7:30pm as I'll be watching Doctor Who on the BBC. But I should be on afterwards. smile.gif

Sorry I had to drop so quickly guys. I had to go to a family thing. I played right up until I literally left the house. I wanted to stay and play but I don't think my wife would've been happy. I had fun and hope we can play again. Let me know when anyone wants to play a couple of rounds. Still a bit rusty with Guile and still learning Juri.

No problem, Racer, family is always important, and there are always future Fight Clubs. smile.gif

Last night was a blast, with Racer, Ed, Yaka, Derock and myself. biggrin.gif Everyone won and lost fights, but we all had fun. I really need to put some time into the other characters, Cammy was decent but I was shocking with Juri and Makoto. XD; Makoto definitely has the power to annihilate, but I had no clue on how to use her.

Cammy's CQC has some potential against aggressive players and those that carelessly use Ultras, but I need to find ways to use it better. Derock, I noticed how you stopped doing anything while I had CQC active, there are certain moves you can actually use to defeat a counter Ultra. I've only tested Cammy against Fei Long's counter Ultra, but this is what works so far:

Throws
Throw from Hooligan Combo
Spinning Backfist (both EX and heavy tested)
Focus Attack (max charge for armour break - a quick FA fails)

I've heard fireballs also work. Based on what little I've tested, I think any armour-breaking and/or ranged move will defeat a Counter Ultra.

I'll be watching all the fight videos today to check for everyone's strengths and weaknesses. a_plotting.gif Any feedback on my Cammy play would be welcome. smile.gif

BTW, I'll be back on again tonight!

Yeah, but the reason I haven't attack when CQC activated is because I couldn't do anything against it, plus I didn't trust the notice of the move (Only certain moves can be countered). While I'll take note of how to go against it, its basically the same as other moves in fighting games in the past (examples: Karin's counters from SFA3, Karas' Hyper counter in TvC, Attack Reversals in Tekken, etc.)

I follow this: Avoid them and think cautionly how to beat your opponent when they have any of those reversal/counter moves. Make one mistake if they perform it and you're screwed. But then again, counter/reversals are moves that are very unpredictable.
