I really wish people would stop throwing the whole "poor Hinata bullsh**" because hello she's a minority character and Naruto in the main character. For they to happen Hinata should've been a majority character instead. Remember out of all the teams her team makes the least appearance after Sand Siblings. Sorry NH fans but if anything the couples that are on top is NS & SS (despite they're nearly dead).

SasuSaku
Part 1
Sakura was one of Sasuke's fangirls and when Iruka announce her on the same team as him, she brags about it in Ino's face and starts trying to attract him. For Naruto to henge himself as Sasuke didn't help the situation at all, actually it encourages to her put forth all her efforts into her love of Sasuke ahead of her duties as ninja. During the bell test & wave arc that theory was proven point blank. However she had wake up call and quickly change herself to protect those she loves.
*That was event had boost her confidents and changes her outlook but yet her feelings for Sasuke stays the same except she's not as crazy about him*
Sasuke meanwhile thinks her attempts are annoy and wasteful as he he fair ready for any attacks that comes their he had even protected her so she doesn't slow down their mission during the wave arc. As he slowly improve his relations with Naruto & Sakura, Oromichmaru appears and give the curse seal as prize of interest. He then fights off the sound nins prior for to the control if the seal & protecting Sakura as she then tries to stops and he returns to normal. They both agree to keep Naruto in the dark about the curse seal. He even had trouble with it during the premiliaries in the chunnin exams while his teams we're sorry sick of his condidtion.
*He had become what you call a big brother of team 7. During that event he relizes he needs to face whtever challenge if he were to match Itachi in power. He doesn't want Sakura or anyone to worry about him because he's that determine to rid Itachi to even given in to the pain. Despite of everything.*
When it was time for him to fight Gaara it seem Sasuke had it until Gaara proven to strong to be defeated and like Naruto, also possesses a demon within him. Sakura then jumps to save Sakura but didn't work and Naruto takes on Gaara himself instead. Everything had turn around for Sasuke when Itachi returns and throws his weakness at him casuing him to become torn between friendship & revenge. Especially learning Naruto was his brother's target not himself and Naruto is at his level, by challenging him had proven it. Even Kakashi's talk with him didn't do anything when the Sound 4 had arrive and convence him otherwise.
*That was the turning point for Sasuke though Sakura had been by his side to only to tragically of his change from imfamous clan "hero" into promient victim to be villain.*
After leaving Naruto, Sakura makes her home but had a feeling and walk another direction to find Sasuke leaving Konoha. She reminds him of the times he had with with team 7, he's attempted but shakes that off. And goes on how she understands him of his past & conquest and receives the same answer. Then she shouts her love for him and he stops to listen. When she finshes he continues on then she threats she'll scream and quickly he went behind her to say "thank you" than knocks out her out and joins the sound as they then becomes The Sound 5.
*There's some evidence where Sasuke does care for Sakura but its unknown rather it was romance (maybe more family like). He knocks her out to prevent her from following him not wanting her to walk his tragic path*
Part 2
2 1/2 years later Sakura rarely or never mentions Sasuke unless Naruto (or sometimes Sai) say something rather it's comment, compliment, insult, or defense. When he appears again, she stills calls him Sasuke-kun and even attack him but then was save by Yamato. After he leaves with Oromichmaru & Kabuto, Naruto & Sakura drowns in failure along with Sai & Yamato they return Konoha.
*Despite this it leaves her feelings for him vague, rather she still loves him as her lover or had move on and only sees him as lost friend/older brother. Meanwhile Sasuke didn't seem to be hesitate rather surprise for Sakura to be attacking him though he has made it he's no longer their teammate and remains haunted by Itachi.*
It's quite the matter of opposites attract routine, however a 50% chance of failing and realistically as the current events shows Sakura does loves Sasuke but as a friend or lover wasn't varify. Sasuke feelings is vague & unknown for Sakura while noticeable for Naruto.
SS= Unknown updates and too vague to figure out best guess is to say friendship until further notice.
NaruSaku
Part 1
Naruto has a crush on Sakura despite hers on Sasuke, Konoha's Golden boy. He was excited to be on the same team with Sakura and disappointed with Sasuke while it was vice versa for Sakura. Suddenly he got the dumb idea to henge himself as Sasuke to meet Sakura and then discovers why he loves her and the two was about to share a kiss until he rushes into the bathroom and returns to only finds the real Sasuke.During the bell test she was willing to give him and blush when he said "Since my hands are tie you're going have to feed me." Then the Wave arc was a turing point for Naruto as he steps up and becomes a better ninja, he even asks Sakura of tree climbing and she even blushes again at that as she explains the methods. Then during his battle with Haku he had use the Kyuubi for the first time prior to Sasuke's "death".
*Naruto tries to get notice by Sakura as she just watches Sasuke despite the limit help she gives him. While he himself receives a ninja lesson of death from Haku.*
Then they return and Naruto is spotted by the Konohamaru group who sees him as a leader and after receiving a talk by Sasuke saying "You're worse than Naruto" She's already in a bad mood and gotten worse when Konohamaru compliment Naruto for choosing her as his girlfriend & he did nothing to say otherwise the two were hit and then Konohamaru says something about their forehead and she chases the 4 of them. Fast forward to the Chunnin exams, during the written test Sakura was willing to drop her chances of becoming chunnin for Naruto but he spoke up saying "I don't care if have to be a genin forever I'll find a way to become Hokage." He inspire lot of people to stay and move on to the second exam where they first encounter Oromichmaru, after getted beaten the boys were out leaving Sakura standing to protect them and after Lee was defeated and find herself in defeated postion and starts acting liking a ninja. She had compliment Naruto during the fight against the grassnin and even during his fight with Kiba & Neji. During his fight with Kiba, Sakura starts recongzing him and said "That's it Naruto tell them" & he finishes "Don't underestimate me." & even admits she was wrong about him during his match with Neji. During her match Ino her body was under control by her & Naruto's voice was able to reach her and her inner mind had force Ino out and forcing a draw between the two. Then when she tried to save Sasuke was instead she's attack and realizing Gaara's also a demon vessel & he attack Sakura, Naruto summons Gamabunta declaring he'll protect Sakura. Later Sakura thank Sasuke for saving however he imforms her it was Naruto not him and she just simile at him.
*It was a great development between them character, plot, & relationshipwise. Sakura begins to softing up & understands Naruto more while his feelings for had increase even more & change lot of peoples' lives & views about him & themselves.*
Then after the mini fight between him & Sasuke, Naruto tells Sakura not to get herself involve because he doesn't want to see her hurt. Later she arrange a date to imform him of the curse seal on Sasuke. Then after Sasuke leaves she turns Naruto in tears begging him to retrieve Sasuke, Naruto had even made it a promise of a lifetime & understands her of feelings of him. Right then Sakura discovers he does understands her and finds she can trust him. When he returns with no Sasuke, she wants him to give up the promise because she doesn't want to lose him too but he keeps persisting so she then declares that he's going have to wait because they'll save Sasuke together and asks Tsunade to train her indicating each member of team 7 is being trained by one of the sannins.
*That this point Naruto loves Sakura so much that he's willing to do anything that will keep her happy even if it's his own life. He's that dicated & Sakura notice that and doesn't want him to go out of his way for her. Then she thinks back of how weak she is and putting all this weight & reliance on Naruto and he including the others were also killed cause of her own selfish ambition. She then promises him that they'll work together to save Sasuke.*
Part 2
2 1/2 years later, Naruto & Jiraiya returns from training and they first meet up with Kakashi to lend him Jiraiya's new book and next Sakura & Tsunade. She then ask him does she looks more womanly and he replies "You haven't change a bit." As he talks to Konohamaru Sakura begins complimenting on how mature he have become and even regret mistreating until he pulls off his newest perverted jutsu and all of her compliments went down the drain as she began strangling him. Then Kakashi breaks it up as he then explains by Tsunade's order to take an 2nd bell test to see how much they improve. With their combine efforts they pass and the next day Kakashi ditch them to not pay for their food and when it was the two of them Naruto call it a date and she accepts as long as he's paying. Then caught up with Shikamaru & Teamri for Naruto to discover he's the only genin of the rookie 9.
*This indicates the growth of their relationship their teamwork has improve & normally in the past Naruto ask for a date Sakura would always decline nowdays she accepts.*
After the Akatsuki had capture Gaara Team Kakashi sped to Suna follow by Temari as Naruto explains why Gaara was capture and reveals he's demon vessel and the things they been though in their childhood and how they are look upon. Sakura then became more understanding and many questions she had of him are now answer. Right then she vow that she'll protect them both. Leaving Suna with Chiyo she explains Gaara's fate if Shijurku was ever taken out of him he can die and Sakura cries realzing that same fate goes for Naruto too but he is too dense to realize she's crying over him not Gaara. Then Team Kakashi were stop by Itachi as he stops Naruto in genjutsu while attacks Kakashi as Chiyo & Sakura helps to bring the genjstsu off Naruto and Itachi leaves for the team to split. Naruto & Kakshi runs after Dierera while Sakura & Chiyo battles Sasori.
*At this point Sakura has learn both aspects of her teammates lives & pasts. Determines her to help Naruto in saving Sasuke & protect Naruto becoming a victim to the Akatsuki. Knowing Naruto's possible fate if ever to capture, she fought her hardest against Sasori with Chiyo's help. By this we see improvements of Sakura as ninja fighting for two people she holds dears to her.*
After receving message from Sasori & with Kakashi out of comission, Sai & Yamato joins in as replacements for Sasuke & Kakashi. Quick attention as verts between Naruto & Sakura with Sai. Later Sai points out Sakura's gentleness towards Naruto. When Naruto went into 4th tailed Kyuubi form, he couldn't tell from friend or foe despite he's powerful enough to defeat Oromichmaru. Once Kabuto pointed that out Sakura felt pain in her heart as she had flashbacks of Naruto, his inspirational patterns & the promises he made to her,realzing how pain he's in and everything she runs to him and get him back to normal but was furtile because she was hit then Yamato perform some jutsu to sustain him back into his normal form. Then she feels very unless whenever it comes to Naruto as Yamato explains it doesn't matter how little or big she does for him as long as her feelings for him is strong. Yamato was about to get into more detail but Naruto had awaken. Yamato & the reluctant Sakura left Naruto to find Sai and later Naruto joins them and when Sakura fell, Yamato explains to Naruto that is he who hurt Sakura and tells him he must use his own power instead of relying on Kyuubi.
*This reveal how much Sakura's feelings for Naruto have develop compare how is was years before. At this point she began to appreciate him more and Naruto feels more determine to become stronger so he doesn't have use Kyuubi and will be able to protect Sakura better*
When Team Yamato meets Sasuke, he's still chasing for power and nearly tries to kill Naruto again and Sakura was willing to fight him just to reserve her own promise. However the team fail miserably, Naruto cries feeling powerless and Sakura assures him he's not alone and they are in this together. Now in Konoha with a new member, Sai, on their side. Naruto continues to persist Sakura on their casual dates but she says they should be training instead as the three meets Kakashi for a new ordeal of concerning Sasuke.
*Sakura will remain by Naruto's side no matter what and this way he knows he's not alone. *
They are very the same where their personality & situations are concern. Speaking of personality they both hate to lose, however Sakura is not as loud as Naruto & Naruto is not as volent as Sakura. Naruto still loves Sakura (the dates are commnon proof) and Sakura not rejecting him says something. At the sametime her feelings are little vague despite all the obvious facts pointed out.
NS= Both sides shows appreciation, Best friends and possible eventual love can occur.
