I don't mind being the lone voice, or one of the few NS shippers that thinks the end wasn't all bad, or will defend why I think the Manga is about a low 8 out of ten despite my initial emotions towards it's end.

I think it's better to look at things objectively rather than jump onto wild bandwagon theories, and I'll stick with that stance, even if it's alone. I would count the screenwriter not reading the source material as a misinterpretation of the interview in question. I would call the theories about more profit wild bandwagon theories. These are dangerous, and I believe we should be better thinkers then this.

I think it's important for people not to be afraid to voice their thoughts though, regardless of what others think, so long as they do so professionally.

The ending WAS bad. and not because of pairings or the like. It is because all that time invested in the manga, all that time watching the anime and the messages the series was trying to portray was rendered pointless and became a cynical parody of itself.

Naruto wanted to create peace. What happened? The ninja system that create child soldiers, and conflict with other villages still exists.

Naruto wanted to become hokage. What happened? He missed his "granted into office ceremony" because his daughter knocked him out and Konohamaru had to take all the applause and cheering in his place, Hinata, His wife did not help him dress in His Hokage robe, and Hell He was sleeping in on this special grrand day and needed Boruto to CANNON BALL himself on his stomach.

Naruto wanted to bring Sasuke, his best friend, home. What happened? Sasuke is wandering around looking for more people to "stab" and excuses for why.

Naruto wanted to Make Sakura, his lady love, happy. What happened? Sakura is a struggling single mom, unable to keep up with her rent, and the husband she has always yearned for shows her about as much affection as he does to a plain brick wall. Hell, he paid more attention and smiled to a physical structure more than he did to her. (great Naruto bridge anyone?) Naruto is COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS TO ALL THIS

and as everyone else here has said. Naruto finally has a family, but he doesn't give them the time of day, when he easily could make time for them by having his kage bunshins tdoe the paper work for him and get the information from the clone later. He literally has the means to do his job without sitting in the office all day and actually have a meal or do family activities with his family but he doesn. And the anime excuses this by saying that because Minato and Kushina was never in his life he doesn't know how to interact with his kids. WAIT, WHAT!!!??? He doesn't know how to interact with family? Iruka, Hizuren, and Jiraiya were not Father figures to him? Tsunade was not mother-like to him? Didn't Tenchu ( if that is his name forgot the Ichiraku owner's name) and Ayane show him kindness and always warmly welcome him into their ramen shop when he was a kid? NONE of these things had any influence on him as a person and inspire him to be what kind of father to his kids?

Honestly, While I was upset about NaruSaku not becoming canon, what INFURIATED ME was that none of the messages of the entire series stuck or even mattered in the end. While it is okay to say the ending wasn't bad to blind yourself to these faults is just as delusional in my opinion

Not to mention the problem of Sasuke getting off free after all that he did and everyone just smiles like nothing ever happened at all, its why I hate Naruto now and want nothing to do with Boruto at all why would I when its just trash I would rather watch read and play game that have more meaning and stick to them as well.

Gray Fox / Frank Jaeger: We're not tools of the government or anyone else! Fighting was the only thing... the only thing I was good at, but... At least I always fought for what I believed in...

Solid Snake: Life isn't just about passing on your genes. We can leave behind much more than just DNA. Through speech, music, literature and movies... what we've seen, heard, felt... anger, joy and sorrow... these are the things I will pass on. That's what I live for. We need to pass the torch, and let our children read our messy and sad history by its light. We have all the magic of the digital age to do that with. The human race will probably come to an end some time, and new species may rule over this planet. Earth may not be forever, but we still have the responsibility to leave what traces of life we can. Building the future and keeping the past alive are one and the same thing.

The Boss: What about you, Jack? What's it going to be? Loyalty to your country, or loyalty to me? Your country, or your old mentor? The mission, or your beliefs? Your duty to your unit, or your personal feelings? You don't know the truth yet. But sooner or later you'll have to choose.

Naked Snake: You're pretty good.

Big Boss: Everything has its beginning. But doesn't start at "one." It starts long before that, in chaos. The world is born... from zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes two, two becomes ten, ten becomes 100. Taking it all back to one solves nothing. So long as Zero remains, one... will eventually grow to 100 again. And so our goal was to erase Zero. Even the mighty Patriots began with a single man. That one man's desires grew huge, bloated; absorbed technology; began to manipulate the economy. We realized too late that we had created a beast. We had helped turn Zero into 100. His sin... was ours. And for that reason, I'm taking it upon myself to send Zero... back to nothing. [...] It's not about changing the world. It's about doing our best to leave the world the way it is. It's about respecting the will of others and believing in your own. [...] Zero and I... Liquid and Solidus... We all fought a long, bloody war for our liberty to free ourselves from systems, nations, norms and ages, but no matter how hard we fought, the only liberty we found was on the inside, trapped within those limits... The Boss and I may have taken different paths but in the end, we were both trapped inside the same cage... "Liberty." But you have been given freedom. Freedom to be... Outside.

Snake/Big Boss: You won't find it without making sacrifices. No offense, but I don't know what peace is. Never felt what it's like. Never even been interested in it.

Kazuriha Miller: Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... and my arm... even my fingers. The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past.

And this is why I love MGS it stick to its themes and meanings.

@Analyzer These past couple of days I've read your posts and the replies you got, firstly I want to mention something you said about if you watch Rocky it's more a story about love or something like that. What are you even talking about? Not only that you've completely interpreted it the wrong way, but even the writer himself which happens to be Rocky aka Sylvester Stallone said it's about an underdog, not about love or whatever you said. And even if you're excluding what he said, you still interpreted it wrong.

Secondly you said that story analysis if subjective. I'm sorry, what?

We analyze stories objectively. Either the story is good or it's bad. Stories have to follow certain guidelines, these guidelines we've created over the years of creating stories.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

They have already admitted that they identify with Bolt because of their own issues with their father. They are too invested into bolt to take a step back and look at the character objectively.

You see even Google doesn't acknowledge their existence. :D

We talked about Rocky in my workshop class years ago, actually. This for those who are interested, was lead by the writer of the latter Godfather books.

Yes, Rocky is about an underdog. It is also a love story. Rocky can be both of these things, they are not mutually exclusive.

Story analysis is subjective on the point of quality.

For example: The majority of people like Naruto and think it is a good Manga. You think it's bad. Let's say the average aggregated score is 8, and you give it a 4. Which is objectively right? Neither.

There are objective points: Grammar, does a plot exist, does a theme exist, does a scene exist, etc. But the majority, if not all of the discussion I've gotten into so far is subjective analysis.

you should really read evil's comment above, those metal gear solid quotes just destroyed the argument you're spouting......

I say this and I've never played a single metal gear solid game and only watched bits and pieces of metal gear rising revengeance and the plot of metal gear solid 5 the phantom pain, I probably should start going and playing them now just by these quotes, or if I don't do good at the type of gameplay, bingewatch playthroughs of them.

also from what I heard godfather went downhill after the 2nd movie, I think nostalgia critic said?

I've never watched or read godfather but yeah, so I have my doubts about trusting that guy that taught your class.

heck I have mild high functioning autism and am 26 and never took those classes you took, and the teachers stuffed us all in the same special ed class and never helped me as a senior, or they gave me college amounts of homework, brushed both off and learned nothing in school, learned more from my disabled mom who was a elementary school teacher who every teacher took advantage of and piled their work on to the point she was too stressed out and became disabled.

that and constantly going to the library as a kid, watching toonami, researching every source to make my own belief instead of what people tell me.

maybe that's why I'm not like you, I had good parenting and didn't only listen to what was said in school?

my mom was hardly home when she was a teacher, now my dad is hardly home because the oxygen company he works for takes advantage of him.

I have even more reason to relate to boruto by your logic, but I don't and think he's a selfish punk.

I don't know why  the military comparison makes it okay to you, my dad was in the army still when I was just a baby and wasn't there when I was born, but he left the army to take care of me and eventually my younger brother.

I feel I related more to the younger naruto, now I can't relate to naruto nor boruto.

I learned more from my mom, dad and uncle bruce(both were big scifi/action movie fanatics and bruce was a big technology fan and gave me my original nes, getting me into video games in the first place) and my grandma.

uncle bruce died in  his sleep 2001 when I was in middle school, where I was bullied and came home with bruises on my legs because the kids would kick me under the desk in class, the teacher thought it was okay and would put me in the hallway if I told them to stop. it led to me dropping out of middle school to be homeschooled by mom.

my grandma died of a stroke far away from me in another state when I  was in high school early on.

I never got to say goodbye to either of them.

did I ever let everything get me down? no, I took what I learned from everything to heart and withstood all the pain and here I am.

so I understand what you mean, but that doesn't mean you'll change my point of view.

the only glimmer of light in high school was I met my best friend there, the first person to get to know me and willing to talk to me instead of taking advantage of me or pretending I don't exist or thinking I'm a weirdo.

that and the job training for me to get my current job I've held for 7 years so far.

and then eventually meeting fancynancypig on my first days of youtube in 2011 after my best friend got me into the internet, and her leading me to all of you who helped me to better understand the world and literature.

and that's my life story guys. completely honest here.

also I was named after kyle reese from terminator because my parents were terminator fans like toriyama, which probably led to my love of terminator and dbz.

I always felt smarter just talking to you guys, you're all awesome so that's why I stay around here. I was never into shipping but you guys gave me a safehaven that didn't always turn into "oh you're a ns tard" just for saying naruto and sakura in the same sentence. and this is still my internet safe haven, hence why I keep coming back.  so screw the pro enders if they can't accept the truth about how you guys are, I will always be your friend.  :grouphug:

I had a really tough day at work today, heat exhaustion, bad sunburn down my neck, and queasy stomach. I'm okay though and feel better just talking to you. also I haven't taken my medication so I'm still awake and its 4:14am.  so if I disappear for a bit it'll probably be after I take my pills and catch up on my zzzs, I'm a stay up late person though, this doesn't bother me.

speaking of dbz....

I think I might quit my modded pc version and get a switch and this, looks too good, looks like dbz kinect done right, and the motion controls are good and not forced. and we were worried about nintendo and the switch? xD

okay nvm I'll be getting a better graphics card and not buying dlc 4 again thank you xD

Wait so is that cover i mentioned in another post a light novel version of the gaiden or the second half of this arc? Because it honestly makes more sense for it to be the gaiden; since it actually has those two in it and the current arc barely has them.

Curiosity made people by the first one. The quality of the work and what's on the cover remove that interest for the second. Would anyone really want that cover in their collection?

The second half of the volume. I assume people are aware of its ploy or they're no longer interested. First should lead to more, not less.

Dude go play the metal gear series they great and have good stories more than naruto and those quotes evil made are great parts of the series especially the one with the boss from mgs3. Here's the good ones aside from all of them 3,1,4 are the best. I've only watched the godfather but I'm going to go through them again, I'd sure like them more now cause I sat through all six middle earth movies and the extended cuts at that and return of the king was 4hrs long but it was so good.
Same kid naruto was more relatable than his annoying Tidus like kid who kittenes about his daddy issues. Hell my dad wasn't around that much either even after my parents got divorced and it was for the better they got divorced.

Quote isn't working for me for some reason.

The Metal Gear quote didn't really address the issue. Naruto does stick to its themes too, and I've not seen any themes presented yet by anyone in discussion other than the generic "It does not stick to its themes.".

You don't have to relate to Boruto, merely notably that those with an absent parent can. Boruto is a bit of a brat, we can agree there, but the source of his pain is relatable, even if his reaction is not. His reaction is the point of conflict and tension that forms the chronic layer.

no, it really isn't. boruto is a brat, his dad is a douche who beats his own son and verbally abuses him and avoids him and the rest of his family, drinking away at his office and eating junk all day. and he has no excuse for not being with his family, my dad on the other hand does, the company my dad works for are greedy selfish douches who constantly take advantage of him and make him do multiple people's jobs.

-Never give up?- Gone.

-Never back down?- Gone.

-Never run away?- Gone.

-Never go back on my word?- Gone.

- Hard work beats genius anyday?- Gone.

-Hard work pays off?- Nope. They got it all handed to them at the end of the day.

I could list many other themes that they didn't even stick with by the end of the Manga. But I don't want to sit here for the next 9 hours.

I wish I could have the powers of Superman so I could save protect the world under God's will.

Always have the spirit and the guts to never ever give up no matter what.

no, it really isn't. boruto is a brat, his dad is a douche who beats his own son and verbally abuses him and avoids him and the rest of his family, drinking away at his office and eating junk all day. and he has no excuse for not being with his family, my dad on the other hand does, the company my dad works for are greedy selfish douches who constantly take advantage of him and make him do multiple people's jobs.

Naruto doesn't beat or verbally abuse Bolt (....wait, the only time he really did that is in chapter 700 and once again that chapter might as well be non-canon since Salad personality isn't even the same in anything or anywhere else, and it was also implied that Sasuke actually visits his family regularly which everything else states Salad had never met him and hinted that Sasuke even outright avoids seeing them) he doesn't care enough to do that. He spends most of his time working. When given the option of going back home he rather & usually stays in his office. It's neglect through apathy.

The fact kishimoto ended Naruto as that shows, how much he has grown to at the very least dislike the ending even when he was writing it. What other Shounen hero abandons all their values at the end?
